Best bid of three for removing these huge old trees and the stumps that former owners didn't remove when they cut the trees down as well as leaving plenty of mulch, but not too much. I had to postpone the work from the original date due to unexpected financial issues, and Treetop was great about coming out at the rescheduled date. The ability to spread the payments really really helps. I will use Treetop again if I need any of their services again.

The four gentlemen that came promptly at 8:00 am as requested on the day promised were simply wonderful. They presented well and explained everything they were going to do and why before they started to make sure I understood and agreed with the plan. They treated me with respect and happily answered all my questions. On top of doing a fabulous job on the elm tree, they also ground two stumps in the front yard, one oak and one ash, from trees I had lost during the snowstorm last February. They completely removed the stumps and even filled the holes with dirt and shavings to even them up with the rest of the yard as best they could. The lead technician also advised me concerning the three remaining oak trees in the front yard that are only about ten feet from the corner of the house. I was contemplating having them removed because of potential damage to the foundation of the house, but he recommended I keep the ground all around the house heavily watered to allow it to stay compacted beneath the foundation and watch it carefully over the next year or so. He explained that oak tree roots do not buckle foundatoins; however, they can wick water away from underneath causing the ground to shift which can of course cause cracks. He could have simply agreed with removing the trees and collected far more money, but he was just as interested in preserving the trees as I was. He didn't even charge me for removing the stumps and they cleared away every speck of debris from both trimming the elm and grinding the stumps. The total amount I paid was exactly the amount of the quotation. I have never been more pleased with a service provider than with Treetop Tree Service.

They did work with me and my neighbor and got the job done. They did not leave a big mess and cleaned up everything.

It went well and quickly. They did it while I was out, and sent me the bill.

Overall, I am quite pleased with their work. Even though Treetop responded promptly to my request for an estimate, they made it clear up front that it would take 3-4 weeks before they could perform the work. They arrived on time and as scheduled and promptly completed the work with high quality. They even readily chopped a small rogue tree that was starting to grow in my lawn. My only negatives are as follows: (1) A couple of screws were missing from the leg of the lawn chair that Treetop relocated so that the branches would not fall on it, which leads me to believe that it was not handled with the best of care. We did not, however, report this to Treetop and instead replaced the screws ourselves. (2) After the rep came out and gave me an estimate he asked how I heard about them; I mentioned Angie's List and we discussed the discount given to members. When I received my invoice for the original estimate that was given prior to our discussion regarding the discount, I requested that the discount be applied but was told that it was already included. Going forward I would request the before and after discount price for clarity.

They were a few hours late which is understandable in their business but it would have been courteous to have been notified. On there behalf, they did tell us that we did not have to be at home when they came but we were a little worried about the houses next door since there is very little spaces between them in our subdivision. Once they arrived their work was business as usual. The workers had the trees down in no time and the stumps removed immediately followed with the cleanup. No problems at all; professional job. Very pleased with the workers who did the job.

Very professional, very prompt. Started the job on time, worked very efficently, did a great job and cleaned everything. Finished in record time. Would recommend to anyone that wants the canopy of their tree opened. Nice people, great service!

I got bids from 3 companies from the list and they were b y far the least expensive. They were prompt and real good, even when I kept adding extra things I wanted them to do, they were willing to do it for little bit extra money. They were very good and my dad also used them also. I spent $600 on the last job done by them.

We have been very pleased from start to finish! Personable and knowledgeable - very fair price and responsive service with the yard cleaned up nicely. We had our work done the day before an unusually large 12" snowstorm in the Dallas area. And while many neighbors experienced broken branches on their trees, we had no problems. Top notch service!

All three of the trees were creating problems, or potential problems. After my call, Mike Green came out and went around the yard with me to assess the problems. One of the things that impressed me about this process was that Mike made a point to tell me that his company carries personal injury and liability insurance, and gave me paperwork to back it up. No one else mentioned that to me. Since the estimate was reasonable, we agreed to let Treetops do the work. The crew came on time and made short work of taking down the elm tree in the front yard. Three men accomplished it, and since the tree was going to be partly in the street when it came down, one of the men stationed himself in the street to warn any cars that might come along. Once it was down, they had it cut up and chipped immediately, with no inconvenience to anyone driving down our street. They moved on to the two trees in the back yard, cutting down exactly the limbs that we had agreed upon, and cleaning off the debris on the garage roof. Once they had finished the work, they fed the limbs into the chipper, ground up the elm stump, and cleaned up the yard. The cleanup was so thorough that, except for the missing elm tree, one would not have known they had been here. The crew was friendly, communicated with me, did no damage, and demonstrated skill and experience. It was an awesome job from beginning to end. We now feel like we have found our favorite tree service and will always call them for work in our yard.

The men came on time and did an excellent job exactly like we wanted. Picked up all limbs and trash from the tree, ground it up and hauled it off. We had three estimates for this work all the way from $885 to this companies $450. One wonders why such a difference. Anyway, would recommend Tree Top Service to everyone as their work is superior

The men were on time the first day and completed a majority of the work. At the end of the day, they said they would return the following day to pick up the tree stumps that could not be put in the chipper. They did not return until late the following day. One tree stump had not been ground and they returned the third day in the afternoon to finish grinding. The work went well. The men were very nice but I would have appreciated being made more aware of the scheduling for the safety of my dogs.

I contacted the company for an estimate on some tree trimming. I have 5 large oaks that have never been pruned. The rep came out at the appointed date and time (and they were punctual, too) and gave me the estimate. They performed the work while I was at work and when I arrived home that day I found the job highly satisfactory-and the cleanup was excellent. It was difficult to find traces of sawdust, and there was not a leaf or twig to be found! I later found out they arrived with a crew of four and the chipper and worked steadily for about 4 1/2 hrs. Beautiful job and reasonable too.

I joined Angie's List for the purpose of finding a dependable tree service. I selected Treetop Tree Service because of their "A" rating and the information posted on their website link. I had a section break off of a large tree in my back yard. I did not want the limbs to stay on the yard and fence, so I needed someone who could respond fairly soon. I emailed Treetop Tree Service after 9:30 in the evening, requesting a bid to remove the damaged tree, another tree of the same variety, and 3 very large crepe myrtle bushes. I received a call from Mike around 8:00 the next morning. He said that he would take a look and give me a call back within the hour. True to his word, he called back within the hour with a bid that was about half as much as I was expecting. I was very impressed with his professionalism, and I felt very comfortable in selecting his company for the job. He was able to schedule for the work to be done within 48 hours of my phone call. I was very impressed with the neatness of the workers. The yard was cleaned of even the small pieces, and no trace of the trees or bushes were left behind in the yard or the driveway. I think this speaks highly of their quality of work. I was given a discount for using Angie's List. I plan to keep Treetop as my tree service for any future needs, and I will be giving them a call for a bid on some landscaping. I highly recommend Mike and Treetop Tree Service

They gave the estimate and came. Everything was professional. They did a good job. I had a very good experience and I will definitely us them again.

It went well, they had another gig in the neighborhood and stopped by to fix my problem once they were done with it.

We never heard from them so did not get the estimate at all.

I live in Phoenix and have a rent house in Arlington. A tree had blown partially down and was resting on the roof, plus several other trees had branches that were dangerously close to the roof. I ALWAYS use Angie's to pick contractors - and I emailed four of the top-rated tree service companies. Tree Top beat everyone else's prices by a considerable margin (over $100 better than the other lowest, and half of the highest bid). They did the job promptly and very well per our tenant - and the job was painless for us. WELL DONE !!

I was able to have it done without being there which was great. They cleaned up very well. They removed all of the debris and hauled it away. They got it done in a short amount of time which amazed me. They had it done before I got home. They were very effficient. They were on time too.

These guys did a fantastic job! It looks like I have a new oak tree in my front yard. They truly transformed my tree to something with a much cleaner and healthier look. They come HIGHLY recommended.

It was great. We got 3 bids (all 3 recommended by friends ), and all the bids were close in price, so we went with TreeTop because of the excellent reviews on Angies List, and the personality of Mike (our estimator). He was knowledgable, but not pushy. Took time to explain exactly what would be done. He came the day of the work to review the details with the foreman. They were completely done and gone in 4 hrs.

I called three services to get estimates on having a huge sycamore tree topped. Two didn't respond until Tree Toppers had completed the job. They arrived when they said they would, did the job as I expected, and didn't leave a trace that they had been here. The clean-up was thorough.

Called for an estimate, and he came to my house without me having to be there. Was good with returning phone calls and was polite. Gave me the quote over the phone (without tax included). He was the lowest of 3 estimates. Said he could come by that Wednesday, but we wanted to see if someone would remove our tree for free for art or wood (since it was a mesquite and had lots of knots and bore holes.) He was very accepting of this, and told me to call back if we didn't find anyone. I called 2 weeks later. There were a few "phone tag" calls between me, the assistant, and the sales representative to get the appointment set, but enough information was left in messages to get the appointment set. That Friday 6 or 7 men showed up with chain saws, wood chipper, tree stump grinder. They knew what they were doing and didn't harm our house that was only a few feet away. The men were all friendly and respectful and cleaned up all the pieces of the tree. I asked that they leave a large section of the stump for sentimental reasons, and the guy with the chainsaw made sure that he cut one section flat on both ends. I also asked that they make sure to grind the stump down as much as possible because we are having landscaping done, and are regrading the yard. I had dug around the base of the tree before they came, but they took an extra effort to make it even deeper even though the estimate was for just 4" to 6" deep. It took about 1.5-2 hours. I was very happy with the work.
