I enjoyed working with Josh. I found him to be both personable and honest. Definitely a straight shooter. Josh listened well and made good suggestions. We met a few times to discuss our needs and options and make plans. He provided estimates and sketches for the work in the large beds in front of our home, along with descriptions and information on the plants he was recommending for the areas. We made some adjustments together, agreed upon the final plan and price, and scheduled the work. Josh performed the work he said he was going to do and at the price agreed. I could count on him and his crew to arrive on time (or early) for all appointments, or to call well in advance to advise of any delays. That in itself was worth the price of admission, as there was concrete work and a sprinkler installation going on at the same time, and those contractors were not so conscientious. In fact, Josh was happy and able to juggle his work schedule a couple of times to accommodate the shortcomings of the other providers. He kept us informed of what was happening with the project, and we made some minor changes along the way. Josh was always agreeable to our requests for changes, and made some good suggestions for changes himself. A few of the changes we requested were additions that would cost extra, which we expected. The additional costs were very reasonable. Josh did not request additional money for any of the changes he suggested, although I am sure that some of them increased his expense. The original plan included a small amount of sod to be replaced in one area of our lawn that had been damaged by a fungus the year before. But the sprinkler guy tore up the lawn so badly that there was hardly grass left alive or exposed. Recognizing the situation, and where were were on the cost vs the budget, Josh graciously offered to re-sod the entire yard at a highly reduced price. We agreed. Josh juggled his schedule and was out with his crew within a few days to perform that work. Since completion of the work, Josh has stopped by several times to check the health and status of the plants and sod, usually knocking at the door to speak with us, and sometimes only sending a text message like, and quot;Stopped by this afternoon, don't think the maple is getting enough water.and quot; On one visit Joshed noticed that there might be some fungus appearing on the lawn. He came back within a few days and treated it at no charge. The only criticism I have is that a few of the plants were placed too closely together or too close to the house. We talked about this on one of his visits. Josh readily agreed that they could have done a better job with that, and a few of them do need to be relocated. But the middle of summer is not the time to do it, so he will be coming back in the fall to move some of them around. Gotta respect a guy who is willing to recognize his mistakes and take responsibility to fix them. And I have no doubt that he will return as promised. I would hire Josh again without hesitation. In fact, I will be hiring him again soon to do some work in the back area near our pool. By the way, this review was delayed only because I have been so busy over the last few months.

This yard/landscaping company started out doing our yard in 2013 and did an excellent job but as a lot of landscaping companies do, the more they take on the more their quality begins to suffer. This company as far as we can tell never fertilized our yard, or put pre-emerge on for new weeds that come up in the summer. They would come in and blast through the yard never pulling weeds in the flower beds, but they did transfer Bermuda grass in our flower bed of Jasmine ground cover from someone else's yard which should have never been done. Now if someone comes in and tries to kill the Bermuda grass it will destroy all of my ground cover that we have worked so very hard to get to grow. We have Saint Augustine. They would trim our bushes in the front and never touch the back. My husband talk to a women at the company and made a complaint and she came out and pull Bermuda grass out of our beds herself until the rain chased her in last week. Then the yard people descended on our yard last Thursday, with her overseeing the work and they did a bang up job, cutting bushes, edging, mowing, etc. It just shows you, when supervised by higher ups, the job gets done correctly which is ashamed that you can't get the quality of work all the time that you pay for.

After reading several reviews then interviewing landscape service professionals, I picked Texpro. From the beginning, Josh at Texpro has been timely and thorough with his work. He communicates clearly about what services are provided at what price and follows up by performing excellent work. Texpro has been a good pick for my landscaping needs.

I will never call them again

Josh (TexPro) came out and asked a lot of questions about my taste and preferences. He interjected when he felt I needed guidance on issues such as upkeep and what it would look like in all four seasons. He was very forthright and honest and seemed to be genuinely concerned about me being happy with the end product and staying within my budget. They handled everything from planning to transportation of the materials to installation flawlessly. A neighbor put in a similar garden and it took three times as much time and near twice the price. As you can imagine I see it as a super value. It was very clear that it was well planned and executed. I will continue to use Josh and his company for all my home(s) needs. I have had many neighbors stop and comment on how nice my yard and landscaping looks. We can't thank Josh and TexPro enough for all his efforts and compliments we get.

He is in the middle of completing the work.

These folks are commited to your lawn and landscaping long term needs. If you are looking for someone to just mow and leave, use the neighborhood 14 year old. If you are interested in the long term care of your lawn and landscape; look no further. Without questions they are looking out for your best interest. You WILL have one of the nicest and healthiest lawns on the block. A real bargain as these folks eat, sleep and breath this lawn and landscaping stuff. Most importantly; they can be trusted.

He does a good job. The prices are fair. He is sometimes late showing up.

Overall Josh was very responsive. He was able to do the job quickly and for the most part efficiently. ( He had indicated that he would clean up all the leaves in the backyard when he did the landscaping in the front but that didn't happen.) He asked us for a budget and then he came up with a plan for a small bed in the front yard. He also suggested that we go with his monthly lawn maint. plan which would help improve our backyard - this service isn't available until spring so I can't evaluate it as of now. We thought the price was somewhat high based on the amount of time spent on the bed and the cost of the shrubs (which was outlined in the estimate). Overall, he spent about 2 - 2 1/2 hours on the bed and the labor was $650 so that seemed a bit high. We really like Josh and would like to continue to use him but we will need to be selective about the services we use as we have to be somewhat cost conscious.

Very well

I pay him monthly. He is very personable and comes in and does a really good job. He tells me his concerns especially since he knows I have kids. He found a bush in my yard that had poison leaves so he pulled it out. He found a sprinkler problem and put me in touch with a man to fix that. He actually did the first cutting for free. I will use him again in the future.

He is my neighbor and is reliable. He just mows and edges - it is a simple job. I have a real small lawn and I think the price is about $25 each time he comes out. I would rate him highly and would continue to use him in the future.

Overall, the experience goes very well. He's very knowledgable and personable. The price is reasonable. I'm satisfied with his services and I would recommend him.

As big do-it-yourselfers, this has been our first experience hiring someone else to help with our lawn care; Josh's service and advice has been well worth the money we've paid him. He is highly experienced and very knowledgeable about various aspects of lawn care and landscaping, plus (from our experience with the beds) it appears he also has a strong design sense! He will continue to be our go-to guy for our standard lawn care, and for our other longer-term landscaping ideas, he has been flexible and helped us prioritize our goals according to what our budget allows. A really nice guy, too--always demonstrating high integrity and professionalism!

Josh is very friendly and talkative. He seems to be knowledgable re: plants and landscaping but he spends too much time telling you about it. He is also very critical of other lawn services. He did the work on my rather large yard quickly and didn't charge me as much as he had first indicated. However, when I looked closely at the edging a day or two later I saw that it was not as well done as I've had in the past. He was also going to help with weed problems but he got busy, then called me late one day when I was busy and has not called me back. I probably would not use him again.

This man has been doing my yard for at least 3 years. He is dependable and knowledgable and tries to keep up on all the information he needs to do a good job. This is his profession and he treats it as such. My yard is small and I can't compare his charges to anyone else, but I am satisfied with his work and have no reason to shop around. He has gone above and beyond to help me when someone else would probably charge extra.
