Sun Painting Texas LLC is a full service painting company serving the metroplex, based in Arlington. We are a local business not a chain or franchise. We are first and foremost a painting company. We offer a variety of services for your convenience such as wood repair, all phases of drywall repair and texturing, popcorn removal, etc. There's a very good chance that the person who assists you during the estimating process is Mark, the owner, Mark is not a salesman. This report is from December 2011. 4 years ago. She purchased a coupon from Angie's List for $199. Less than 2 weeks later she refunded. We never heard from her. At that time, it was the member's responsibility to contact the provider. It's now our responsibility to contact a member who purchases a coupon within 48 hours, as it should be. I'm guessing that this member didn't understand this. (Not sure because our records don't go back that far). I'm sorry we couldn't work with her. I'm glad she got her money back from Angie's List. BUT, I am always astounded when someone decides to write the a review about an experience they had that long ago. Really,what's the point? Mark

Description of Work: I paid for my voucher on 11-2-15 and they made arrangements to come out and do an estimate on the 5th. I was told it would be 1-2 weeks before they could get us in. Well that did not happen. They finally put us on their schedule for December 4th. the rescheduled and moved it to the 5th. they rescheduled again and wanted to move it to the 11th when I called them and told them I wanted my money back and they could go fall in a hole. It doesn't take a month to perform a job. Very unprofessional.

This member lives in Austin and purchased one of out acoustic removal coupons to get a large hole in her tenant's ceiling repaired. We were unable to work with the renter's schedule. We needed three consecutive days to complete the repair. There was a 5'x7' hole in the ceiling covered with cardboard due to a water heater explosion. We couldn't open this up without being able to complete the repair immediately. The unheated attic wason the other side of the cardboard. I hate that we were unable to get this scheduled. Description of Work: Sun Painting power washed all the surfaces to be painted. Then they caulked and sealed holes in any undamaged wood. They replaced several rotted pieces of wood with new wood. They also masked the brickwork and windows to prevent over spraying. They did an excellent job and were very professional and courteous.

Description of Work: Money was paid through Angie's List but the provider never showed up. He did advise me on email that the amount paid was NOT the total as he would have to do an estimate. He could not come by when I was home. I have requested a total refund from Angies List.

This member will receive a full refund from Angie's list. His expectations were very unreasonable from the start. He called our office and belittled and berated Teddi from the very first words. " you will paint my house tomorrow starting at 4:30 like I told Angies list in the email and there will be no extra charges". " don't lie to me like I know your company does " Wow. Teddi is the sweetest thing. She's retired from a doctors office and rarely gets rattled. This bully recognized that he had the advantage and really lit into Teddi. He got to her and she was on the verge of crying. Nonetheless, she did set an appointment with him and I did keep it, although he wasn't home at the appointed time. (About what you'd expect). I emailed him his bid. The house was covered but 2 doors were not. There was to be a $150 charge in addition to the coupon price of $1249 He responded to my email in a really mean spirited fashion. I emailed back informing him that he could ask Angies for a full refund and would have no problems. I deleted his next email, having no knowledge of its contents (but a pretty good idea) and blocked his emails going forward. I'm sorry that we were not able to satisfy this member but am kind of glad we don't have to work for him. We take pride in doing a great job for all our customers and would certainly done so for him. And the price of the coupon is great. We will never again run that deal for that price. It's now 1800. Check out our reviews. Give us a call if you want. We look forward to meeting you Mark

This member purchased our coupon and another for some electrical work from a different vendor. He later found a contractor who could do both jobs so requested and received a refund from Angie's list. When I called him to ask why he was requesting a refund, he explained this. I asked him if we could have done anything differently and he said we did nothing wrong. I think this grade is probably directed more at Angie's list than us. At any rate, he chose not to use the coupon and got a full refund-no problems. Maybe k
