From the start Mark and Teddy were extremely friendly and professional, a real pleasure to deal with and talk to. Mark showed up and provided the estimate on schedule and it was a very competitively priced estimate compared with the second bid I received. I felt confident in my dealings with them and their reviews that they would do good work. The crew came out as scheduled and completed the job in about two days as expected. The crew was extremely friendly and I felt very comfortable working with them while they were here. Overall it was a very good experience and I'd like to give them an A but I gave Sun Painting a B for three reasons. #1 is the crew did not have a clean plan of the work that needed to be performed when they arrived. The office had merely texted a photograph of a computer screen with MS word document with the work instructions so I had to print the email from my printer so they would have the details of work to be performed. I was discouraged that they didn't have a better means of communication with the crew.#2 I was disappointed that Mark never came to our house to inspect the work at the conclusion of the job and I had to perform my own quality control with the crew. I'm not a painting expert but I found things they needed to touch up. I felt that Mark would have done a better job inspecting the work and instructing the crew to clean up. #3 The quality of the painting work, although good, does not seem great. It's been about 3 months since the work was done and I've noticed a few spots where the paint didn't hold up and a few more mess-ups than I did after my initial inspections. The carpentry still looks solid but I'm not an expert. Overall I am glad we went with Sun Painting and I would recommend them for good work at fair prices.

The quality of the work was outstanding. Attention to detail and overall care to the result.

They taped it up and painted by hand. They did not spray. They were very careful, neat, polite. They even took the blinds down and put them back up afterwards and moved all furniture. There was no cleanup and i would highly recommend them. I did not have to do anything it was great!

Sun was a little late arriving and took about 12 hours over 2 days to complete. They worked professionally and accurately. Great job of covering furniture, taping and cleaning up. Sun Painting used quality Sherwin Williams paint and the house looks great! My wife was pleased and she is a hard sell. Got a Angie's list coupon for a better price. Love the man cave!

I called about a coupon on Angie's list, they would not even come out to my home to look at what I needed painting without buying the coupon. They wanted me to buy a $1899 coupon before I even talked to someone? Crazy! So they passed on my business because I mentioned the coupon without purchasing. I had a 4329 sq feet home....and almost every room needed to be painted....pretty big job to pass on!

I bought the deal this company offered and at first was concerned it wouldn't be the best workmanship. Boy was I wrong! The crew showed up promptly at the designated time and immediately went to work. Our house looks amazing! It's surprising what a fresh coat of paint will do for how your house looks. Everyone I dealt with from the lady in the office to the crew chief was courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to use Sun Painting again for any of my home painting needs.

Great! From the initial call and talking with Ann, to meeting Mark during the bidding process and then meeting Peavy (the Painter), I couldn't have asked for a better team to help me repaint my house! I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again when we buy our next house! The perfection and attention to detail is everything that this OCD pregnant woman could ask for!

Other estimates we got were for thousands of dollars more and we were told they would take a week to a week and a half. The crew was here at 7:45 both mornings and the entire house (2500 sq ft) was done in just under two full days of work. It looks brand new and we had some pretty bright colors in a couple rooms. Would absolutely recommend this company.

The finished product of our knockdown texture and paint job turned out, for the most part, pretty good. The process of getting to the end of the job, however, was not a good experience. When dealing with contractors/contract work, things usually don't go off without a hitch. That's to be expected. When our start date was delayed a day, it wasn't the end of the world. When the crew originally finished the job and there were paint splatters and sloppy edges/corners, it was alright because the crew came out an additional day to fix all of their mistakes and complete the job properly. What ultimately made this whole experience disappointing was the lack of communication by management. When the start date was pushed back a day, it wasn't properly communicated to us. The morning the crew came out to start the job, I was surprised that the owner wasn't there to explain to his lead crew man everything that needed to be done. It was definitely a red flag when the crew was asking me what type of texture they were to apply, what color they were painting the ceilings and when they asked me if they were painting the walls as well(which was not part of the job). Those were all details he should have already known going into the job. Starting the job out that way made me worry a little bit. Our home is within a couple miles of Sun Painting's office, so I don't think it would've been that difficult for the owner to stop by that first morning to show his crew what needed to be done. Had that been done, I feel that the majority of the issues we ran into never would've occurred. Due to the delays and lack of communication, I felt that we were having to change our schedules and do all the leg work to reach out to the owner for updates on what is being done or when something will get fixed when there was an issue. Being the customer, that's just not good service and isn't acceptable. Overall, the actual painting/texturing done was pretty good(once the mistakes were fixed). Due to the lack of follow-up, proper communication and responsibility( we are still waiting almost 3 weeks now for answers on a couple small items we had that were broken/thrown away. the owner just pushes the responsibility on his crew man to reach out to us to address those issues, which he has not) we most likely won't use this company again. It's frustrating considering the crew was really nice and the owner was nice as well(albeit frustrating with the way he handled things) and the work done had a pretty good result.

I want to say that dealing with Sun Painting has been a very simple process. They gave me a fair quote, quality work, everyone has been prompt to get back with me, they kept me informed of a time table and they honestly take pride in their work to get it done correctly. I highly suggest using them, and for other projects I have coming up...I will use them again.

Getting in contact with the owner is tricky. His secretary is a sweet heart but she can only do so much. The job went well until HE LEFT MID-JOB! I have a five three and one year old and he left us with a half plastered bathroom- no lights in either vanity and all I got was a text saying "sincerest apologies." Although he refunded our deposit, he never sent anyone to touch up the work that actually was finished. I felt it was very unprofessional and was left with a mess.

The painters did a good job and I was satisfied. I chose more expensive paint than they were going to use so the cost went up a little over $200.00.

Very well. The company president came and gave an estimate which was pretty spot on. There was a lot of area, including: the entry hall and ceiling; the dining room and ceiling- which is like painting 2 rooms as the ceiling is 22 feet high; the living room, kitchen, eat in area, retreat room, office, master bedroom, master bath and the hall leading to the master bedroom. Between the ceiling and wall colors, I had 10 colors. I found their prices to be very fair. Everything got two coats; the office, three, as I chose a very dark chocolate and dark colors always take more coats. The crew was 3 men; mainly two, and sometimes a third. All did excellent, high quality work and were clearly professionals. The prep work was meticulous, and not a drop of paint went where it should not have. The three had pleasant personalities and were easy to work with. My only complaint was that I was told there would be 5 man crew and the job would be done in 3 1/2 days. We had a 2-3 man crew and it took a lot longer. The work was also interrupted at one point for nearly 2 weeks so that another job could be finished. But, the crew took down the prep so there was nothing in the way during the wait. This meant very long days-7 AM to 8 or 8:30 PM, and one punishing day of 7 AM to 10:30 PM. The company was easy to deal with, though, and worked to make the situation easier, and it ended well. The company seems genuinely interested in their customers. I would certainly hire them again and would recommend Sun Painting without reservations. The work is even better than they promise. PS-the crew worked tirelessly. They took quick lunch breaks and went right back to the job. My rooms have those rounded corners, and the walls are textured, but they painted such clean, sharp edges that I was truly amazed. Very skilled painters.

Good to work with. Mark came out and looked at the place and talked about the work that they would do, and how they would fix any defects under the ceiling as I came across them. Scheduled the work for a couple weeks later, and it was all done in a week. There were a couple areas that did need to be touched up / repainted after the work, but this was resolved quickly. I would definitely hire again.

Great company- Highly recommend. Very easy to work with and highly professional from the estimator to the office staff to the paint crew. I cant say enough about Jose and his paint crew. The were prompt ever day and very skilled. They seemed to really have a great time and enjoy their craft. Would have no problems using them again.

Outstanding job! Just one painter did the whole job, Pevey. He was a real pro and did a fantastic job under trying circumstances...102 degrees. He was precise, thorough and surprisingly fast. I would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a quality paint job.

Mr. Pevey showed up on time and did an outstanding job. He power washed the house, caulked where needed and painted all the trim and doors and gutters. His attention to detail was amazing especially dealing with all the heat. Non the less, he didn't waiver from his duties and worked tirelessly until the job was done to perfection. I would definitely hire this company again and I also encourage others to do so.

The team arrived within the time agreed upon and went right to work. They were very clean and very careful with the furniture. The quality of the paint is good and I am happy with the outcome. If I were to give a constructive criticism I would say that communication to the people that do the work could be stronger or maybe written down. Whatever is agreed upon with the management of the company must be repeated with the employees (subcontractor).

It was an overall GREAT experience with this company. The sales experience was great, the sales guy showed up on time and was very short and to the point. After that the estimate took 2- 3days. i had to go away for work so they so they worked with my schedule and getting me in at an appropriate time after i returned. the the crew showed up, they were pofessional, very courteous and communicated everything they were going to do before it was done. My only issue was that i was not provided the color chart for the brand of paint they used. i had to find a store to pay $15 for something i will never use again. The lady at the office was also very professional and helpful. Overall i gave them a B because due to the inconvenience of the no color chart, but everything was great. I have an older house and now its looks brand new. Thank you guys so much and i would recommend you to others. Trish

We have used this contractor before under a different name and accidentally discovered him while seeking bids for a repaint of rental property. Even though his bid was not the lowest we went with him because we knew the quality of his work. It was everything we expected. House is old cedar shake exterior and it took some time to find suitable replacements for the missing and damaged shakes. House looks great.

It was a good price. Overall they did a good job on the paint but where the areas were deficient it was like pulling teeth to get them back to change it. Overall the end product when they were finished was an A, but the overall experience was different. By the time they ended up walking out the door it was as I wanted it. I would tell a friend not to use them; I would never use them again. The mess they left in my house was pretty substantial. There was paint all over the faucets and paint all over my wood floors. I had to scrape it up by hand. They left paint on my bathroom fixtures and there was even paint on the front doorknob. I called and talked to the main guy. I told him they left the place in a mess. They had to send a foreman back to do all of the touch up work. I think it was lack of supervision of the work crew. The foreman that came was a Hispanic man and there was a language barrier, which is totally fine. He had a young man there that translated for him. But things I discussed with the business owner related to things I wanted done and were all agreed on, when he got there I said we were doing those certain things and he said we were not. I tried to correct him and he said that is not what we contracted for. I actually called the boss to tell him we were not on the same page. It ended up that some of the things the owner told the foreman to do were not done. That is why they sent someone back out to do them. It took them a couple of weeks to call me back to schedule a time to come out. They also ruined some curtains for me.
