Description of Work: One man showed up and did not have supplies. He was using water to remove the paper. I could have done that. I went to the store and picked up the roller to puncture the paper and the spray to desolve the paste. They left in the time allowed. I finished the rest of the room. The one thing I liked

I saw what they were getting paid - let's just say that Sun Painting's margin on this deal was probably close to 100% English was not a first language for this husband and wife team who showed up to paint my house (actually the husband did all of the painting - the wife helped with the tools and held the ladder). God bless them, their work ethic was amazing. he was painting trim on a Sunday afternoon when it was 50 degrees out. Overall results were solid enough considering the resources

Daria and his crew were professional, courteous and thorough in every respect. Good clean-up when it was over. If the paint and stain hold up, I am satisfied in every respect.
Description of Work: Painted entire exterior or my home, including some scraping and caulking (stucco, windows, doors, trim, cedar appearance items. Very nice job.

+ 1 moreMark came and gave us an estimate for two major areas needing attention. At present we were only prepared to do one of the jobs so he split the job price into two estimates which was fine with me. Our appointment was for 12 noon and he rang the bell at 12 noon. He did the inspection and email us with a very appropriate estimate the next day. Once we agreed for him to do the work, he sent a crew immediately to do the job. It was completed in one day with little interruption considering it was our kitchen, the busy room in any house.
Description of Work: Remove wallpaper in kitchen and textured the walls filling in all holes and dings. Sprayed acoustic ceilings in two small baths followed by painting the ceilings. Excellent job on each project. Courteous crew showing care not to damage any thing in the project area. We will be using them again very soon to do additional work to prepare out home for the market. This is my first expeicence with using Angie's List and was happy with the results.

They came out before the job to look at the scope of the work and even let me use their account so I could get paint at a discount. The actual painters actually ran a bit late, but they called to let me know and they stayed later to make sure the job was finished. I had them come out for a second job on another day because I was so impressed. They really went above and beyond for me..

Description of Work: I'm not sure of the exact date of service, but I believe it was late summer/early fall. We purchased the Big Deal for the exterior painting package. We knew we would have to pay for additional square footage than what was offered in the deal as my entire two story house is covered in hardiboard type siding. The additional price quoted was very reasonable, and included wood repair and painting our front door.

I think they kind of take so much work for the side of the company, so we did have a little problem getting him scheduled and we got work on the day and we kept getting push backs, so that was my one of my complaints. + 0 moreI had used Sun Painting earlier in the year to have my kitchen wallpaper removed, and the walls textured and painted when I purchased a Big Deal on Angie's List. I was very impressed with the job they did, so calling them when I had more work to be done was a no brainer. Autumn came out and took down all of the details, and e-mailed me a quote shortly thereafter. We scheduled the job to begin on Wednesday, January 23rd. Jose Lopez and the painting crew arrived early on Wednesday, at which time we gave them the list of Kelly-Moore colors that we wanted to use. One of the crew left to get the paint, while the rest got to work tearing down wallpaper. When I came home from work on Wednesday, the only thing left to finish was the trim in the master bedroom. They finished that by noon on Thursday. I can't praise their work enough. The crew was very polite and hard working, and Jose was a real pleasure to work with. I haven't found any flaws in their work. It is beautiful. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again, and I would highly recommend them.

+ -1 moreI called Sun for an estimate. They worked around my schedule including after hours and the weekend. They came to my home and reviewed what I needed. That appointment was quick and the estimate was very reasonable. It was not difficult to decide to contract with Sun. Unfortunately, I chose a color that didn't work for me, after it was applied. I called Sun Painting late that evening (Friday) and asked what we could do. Sun's painters were back the next day to finish the original job. They also repainted the previous day's work. That repainting was a nonimal addition to the original contract. Every interaction with Sun was pleasant, quickly handled, sincere, professional, and painless. I would definitely do this again. --- well, except the next time I'll put more thought behind the color choices, then move forward and lt;winkand gt;

+ -1 moreI swear I submitted this report at least once before...but here it is again, abbreviated. Our master bath was done up in dark burgundy and silver stripes, floor to ceiling, with a small gold-ish thin line between the stripes. Pretty bold and dramatic, too much drama for a place of needed peace and tranquility. It needed to go. Took advantage of a promotion for $199, providing up to 8 man hours of wallpaper removal since they could get rid of it in a fraction of the time as I would and could also knock out any drywall repairs. Two guys showed up and took the master bathroom by storm. They were finished with the removal of the nasty stripes and patch work of the drywall in only about 2 1/2 hours. I know it would have taken my husband and me a full day to get that done since it's not something we normally do, so I found it to be a terrific value. Once the spackling they had done was completely dried, we took care of sanding and painting the walls ourselves. The most challenging part of the project was already done. + -1 moreWork went OK, once they got started. Team was scheduled to arrive between 9 and 9:30 AM. Finally called at 10:30 to find out why the delay. Estiamtor told me they would use 2-3 people but only one painter came well after noon. Painter then had to go get paint so work starte at about 1:30. Job was supposed to be 1- to 1.5 days but actually took two full days due to only one painter. Thought price was a little high for a one-man show and two gallons of enamel.

The crew was here three days. They showed up first thing every day, did an overall excellent job, and left the rooms painted clean and tidy. I would use Sun again, no question.

I told the guy I gave the check to it's not the fact you and your crew can't paint, you're just not reliable. He mumbled some excuses and they were gone. So far, the paint they left out in freezing and thawing temps on our patio hasn't started peeling off, but I'm still not convince it won't. We believe they run these specials through Angie's list to have income in between more expensive jobs. They make sure the bigger income jobs get priority and these specials are worked in between. At their convenience not the customer.
Description of Work: If you can get this company's painters to your home they know how to paint. They were suppose to paint our home the week of Thanksgiving. First, they had sickness problems, crews were out sick which left them short on crews. I do believe that was true. When Ann called she sounded like she needed to be home in bed. Then it was weather problems, you can't control Mother Nature, I understand that. Finally, on Saturday 12/16/12 without so much as a call, we had 3 painters at our front door.GREAT, finally. They did all the prep work of taping, papering, and putting up plastic to protect everything. They started spraying the trim white and guttering. They were here from 9:30 until 4:30. They had our downspouts 1/2 painted, the trim mostly painted. Every time I looked outside, they were gathered together talking, and one guy was on his phone constantly. They left that Saturday with our house not enough a quarter finished. They sat all the remainder of the paint to be used on our outside patio, when asked if they would be back Sunday we were told no, probably Monday. No show on Monday, finally we called them on Wednesday, 12/19/12 and was told they would complete the job on Friday. I told her we were leaving Friday 12/22/12 and wouldn't be back until 12/29/12. That was no problem, once we were back, after we were pleased with the job they did, we could mail them the $100.00 that we would owe for the additional height of our front. While we were away, it, rained, it snowed, and I guess there was gusting winds. When we drove up to our home on the 29th the paper and plastic they had taped up was half hanging on our home in some areas in others it had come loose and was all over the yard and pool area. It was apparent they had not been here the whole time we were gone. Again, you can't control Mother Nature. There were messages on our phone where they had called with why they did nothing in our absence. Some understandable, some not so much. We had some really nice weather after we returned on the 29th sunny days, highs in the 70's but not a single painter to be found at our house. After excuse after excuse they finally showed up 1/5/13, when we voiced concerns about them using the paint that had sat on our patio in freezing temperatures still being safe to use, we were told the paint was still good. They worked until 5:00 and got most of it completed and came back that Monday was here all day and completed the job. They cleaned up all the materials they used and I signed a slip of paper which I didn't really read gave them their $100 check and got them the
