Description of Work: The Big Deal I purchased was for 2 painters for 1 day a full 8 hours. First;y, I had a difficult time reaching Sun Painting to schedule an aappointment, it took several phone calls and a call to Angies list asking them to contact the provider as well. I finally did get in touch with Autumn, we scheduled an appointment for her to come and look at the project. While she was at my home we scheduled an appointment for Monday, March 11,2013. i called Autumn Firday afternoon March 15, as I had not heard from her to confirm the appointment, she was not sure she would have the painters at my house on Monday March 11, 2013 but would call me on Saturday to confirm. Saturday, march 16th came and went and no call from Autumn. Monday Morning, March 11, 2013 I was at Home Depot when the painters arrived at my house, they as i was not there. I called Autumn, and she said they went to get a ladder and would be back in a little while, and my 8 hours of painting would start at that point. The painters arrived back at my house at 12:00 noon,they brought in the supplies and left for lunch at 12:30. You are hearing correctly they arrived at 12:00 and left at 12:30 for lunch arrived back from luch at 1:30 and left for the day at 3:30! i spoke with Autumn, and she said they had to go to another job but would be at my home Wednesday by 8 - 8:30 a.m., at 9:00 a.m. I called Atumn as no painters, well they arrived in front of my door at 9:10 a.m. walked up and rang my doorbell with large coffee cups in hand! By the time they went back an forth to the truck it was 9:30, these 2 men talked from the moment they arrived to the very moment they arrive to they talked on the cell phone, they talked to each other, they walked in and out. They did everything not to finish the job! They took a lunch breack at 12:32 RETURNED AT 1:07 and ended the day at 2:30. I never got my full 8 hours. they left paint specs all over my floor as they did not cover the entire floor only put out plasic 24 inches from the wall, well paint can fly more than 24 inches. They put nick in my brand new wood stairs from fighting with the ladder. I called and spoke with Autumn as they painters are packing up and leaving. She said she would get a crew to clean up the paint and finidh up, so not to leave a bad taste in my mouth! well she has left more than a bad taste, she never called me back. No one from the office called me back, the work is sloppy, the workers are unprofessional. These 2 men had no respect for the job or my house, they came to drink coffee and talk

+ -1 morePretty good job. Big crew. Worked hard and fast. Missed spots that I had to repaint. Had overspray in spots on brick, but denied it came from them. Debatable I guess, but can't imagine the 10-year old paint job prior did it. When the bid for interior work was not accepted (chose another company) they lost interest in fixing the missed spots and caulking not done outside. Nice people. Poor QA.

+ -1 moreWe purchased a deal of two days of a professional painter's services. As it turned out, they provided two painters for one day. I was concerned that the sheet rock mud would not have time to dry but they knew exactly how to make it work. They also brought out a helper for part of the day and the supervisor came by later in the day to bring a sprayer for the ceiling. I was impressed with how thoroughly and quickly they covered things with plastic and moved furniture as needed. They matched the style of wall texture and blended the and quot;popcornand quot; texture on the ceiling so you can't tell where the repairs were made. They even spotted another area of damage and fixed it as well. They did a good job of cleaning up and finished in an eight hour day. Very professional.
Description of Work: They repaired water damage to walls and ceiling in our living room in five places. Thoroughly scraped away damaged sheet rock texture, sanded re-textured, primed and painted. I provided the paint and they provided everything else.

+ -1 morePainting over drywall repairs to match original rooms' finish was done to the point that I cannot tell where the repairs occurred except that the cracks are gone. Quality is excellent and colors are exactly what I wanted in spite of the fact that paint vendor's color in their online catalog was not available in-store and painters had to substitute at last minute. Clean-up was thorough.
Description of Work: Dry-wall repair in three different rooms/locations. Physical repair and painting to match original rooms' finish. Painted to spec a complete room. Repaired and re-painted base-boards and door trim throughout house damaged by furniture and pets over several years. Touched-up and fixed sloppy trim work done by someone else before house was purchased.

+ 0 moreThe painting I would rate as average. They did not do an adequate job of caulking and sanding prior to spraying.They replaced some siding, and I can see areas where the siding applied was not caulked and painted, even though multiple sites all over the house that had not been caulked, prepped, painted, etc. I pointed these out to the painters and to the Sun rep, autumn. After repeated requests, they came out several weeks ago and did some prep and caulk on the roof dormers that should have been done before any painting was done. The rep promised to return the following Saturday and spend the day caulking the south side of the house where sun had replaced the siding. They did not show, and did not respond to several followups requesting status. I heard from the owner this morning that he would not honor the commitments made by the rep. The work should have been completed in a week or so. After 4 months, there is still caulking and painting, including the siding they replaced, that has not been completed.

I had responded to the $1299 complete package, but if you check the fine print it doesn't include the front, back or side doors, which are separate and above the package price. I also thought the square footage estimate with only an eyeball scan and no actual measurements was on the high side of reality. We agreed on a price about twice the original package price advertised, and they did a good quality job. I did have some plant damage from being trampled and paint droppings, but other wise I was happy with the result.
Description of Work: They painted the exterior trim on my primarily brick home. They did a good quality job and were very responsive to concerns and issues brought to their attention.

Anne said she would have the ops manager, Autumn Hudson, call me for details. She didn't return call. I called again on 3/8/13 and left message. The special expired on 3/10/13. I didn't call again, and Autumn never called back. I would NOT do any business with them. If they were swamped with business they could at least call back and tell me so.

Description of Work: i called this company after researching on angies list. my call was answered in a timely fashion but then i was placed on hold being placed on hold is not an issue at all. what is an issue is being placed on hold for way too long and that is more than a couple of minutes. i had to hang up. still to give this company the benefit of the doubt i immediately went on line to their site and filled in the contact form (on line). i explained briefly the scope of the job and requested an estimate after their sales agent would visit the job site. i did receive an e-mail response within the hour. but what was highly unprofessional (in my opinion) was the magager wrote back saying the job would cost me $2400.00 i immediately wrote back saying how could they quote without even looking at the job? i knew that price was so high that all clients would simply move on. i received no response back. the job was done by another angies list painter for a mere $200.00. all the job entailed was slight sanding of 2 custom wooden garage doors (2 car garage) and putting a varnish on them. half a day job. one door was in good condition the second had old varnish peeling at the bottom. this painter who did the garage doors has been given another job by me for $1750.00 to stain the fence around my home.

+ -1 moreBen and Peavy were the 2 painters that came out and they were EXCELLENT.. They were early, courteous and efficient. I would hire them again if they were available and they cleaned everything that needed it although they were the neatest painters I have ever seen and there was virtually nothing to clean up.
Description of Work: Ben and Peavy painted 2 different colors on the walls in the livingroom... they did not finish the molding on the walls (french) due to the fact that they had to put 2 coats on the flat parts of the wall... that was the fault of the paint I had purchased (Behr with primer). They tried their best, but the paint was not cooperating.

+ -1 moreThey are good. They just did an excellent and conscientious job because I was there the whole time and watched. They were very professional, on time and their workers did a good job. They were nice people. They were hard workers.They are not afraid to work. I've had people that I have called for estimates, I guess they have just taken one look and I have never heard back from them. Their price was double what I Sun Painting charged because they obviously just didn't want to do it. They said they would be finished in two weeks and they were. That is excellent because we had rain and they had to stop. Those men worked at night with lights. Their price was very fair.
Description of Work: I had a frame house that had to be scraped, primered and painted and Sun Painting Texas did it. They did very hard exterior painting.
