Scheduling has been a constant pain for this company. They postpone, change and cancel at the last minute everytime something is scheduled.

It is half brick, half wood. They came out and they painted. I told them I couldn't afford the wood shutters and I would have to get plastic ones but that I would buy them if they put them up. They said they would. There are places they should have painted and places that are already cracking. They never put up the shutters. There is paint on my brick. I called them in December to tell them I needed to talk to them. I never heard a word back. I waited because I thought they must be busy and I also got on a grand jury which took up a lot of my time for a few months. When I got off of jury duty in April, I called them. She said they would be out April 30, 2013 and that she would call me the week before to remind me. I stayed home most of last week waiting for them to call, they didn't. They didn't come on April 30th either. I have paid them $1100 and something dollars. It looks like I am going to have to hire somebody else to come out to put up my shutters and take the paint off my brick. I told the lady when I called her last that I was going to call Angie's List. She told me not to do that, they would be out but they never came. I am on a fixed income so it takes a lot for me to get these things done. All they had to do was let me know what was going on. I think I have given them plenty of time. I would feel sorry for somebody else if this happened to them. UPDATE- AS OF 5/31/13-- They did come back to put the shutters up and they tried to take the paint off, but it made it worse! I still do not want them back at all!

They were excellent, they did excellent. They were great painters.

See above -- I thought they did a great job and were very professional, but I really don't think I got what I paid for. Only one person painted for four hours, not two painters for four hours. If I used them again, I would ask a lot more questions and be very clear on what I was getting for my money. I think they could have been more forthcoming when the appt was made on how long jobs take so I could know how much could/was really going to get done. I think they should have asked dimensions of the hallway, woodwork amount, etc. so I could have been told they could do more than what I had self-estimated. And when two people show up, I really expect two people to be painting, not one.

Good experience. Autumn arranged estimate and was very responsive to changes. Foreman was so very helpful and informative and had great attention to details, answering all questions. Job was scheduled for 2 days, but crew stayed until 11pm to finish the job in 1 day. Price was very competitive and reasonable, all inclusive of materials and labor. Protection of furniture was great and cleanup thorough. Looks very nice. Would use again.

They were excellent. The work went very well. I worked a lot with the lady in the office because at the time I was having a whole bunch of windows replaced by another company and I was having scheduling problems and she was very nice in the office and then when the men showed up I really like them. They had a really nice communication. I would use them again.

Painters arrived late but called to let me know they were experiencing traffic delays. After reviewing the work scope they went to purchase supplies necessary to do the job which took about two hours. Once work began, the work was done professionally to my satisfaction. I would hire Sun Painting again.

Sun Painting did an excellent job in preparing our home to be painted the following day. The team was on time, very courteous and professional. The team supervisor was extremely pleasant and kept me apprised of what was taking place throughout the day. The cleanup after was very impressive as well. It was a great experience and I plan to use them for some interior paining as well. The sales rep, Autumn, was first class all the way. Everything she advised us about the job was exactly as it happened. She is an asset to Sun Painting. We have recommended Sun to some of our friends who have used them as well, with the same results.

We scheduled Sun Painting Texas for a consult to go over all the details of what we wanted painted. After that, they set up a date that worked with us to paint the house. Originally, it was going to take two days however, we were told at a later date that they could do it in one day which was better. The crew came out at around 9 a.m. and we then went over everything that needed painted and picked out the colors. They were out cleaning, caulking and painting the house from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. and were able to get it all done in the one day as promised. The house now looks perfect and we are very happy with the way it turned out. I would recommend this company to anyone and have neighbors who also like their work.

While the sub-contractor did an excellent job once on site, the job itself was riddled with drama. First - sub called on scheduled day 1 an hour after start time, said they'd not be coming. Day 2, arrived two hurs late, no paint and no idea what paint to have. Each day, when calling the company, all I ever got was the person who answered, who apologized and then didn't tell me much else. Was able to work out with the sub on day two what paints/stains were needed, but since they now only had one day to complete, worked late into the night and the job done staining 3 garage doors was barely average at best. The trim paining done was excellent but at no time did anyone from the company I pad the funds to ever show up on site to check, inspect or follow up with me.

.. Here we go, There were at least 9 green paint stains on my carpet that I discovered after they had left. Some were very big, some were very small. Again there were spots that the white paint bled through the green paint. Some trash was left in my bedroom. There was urine on the toilet seat rim. There were drops of green paint all over the bathroom sink, my items on my sink, and on the floor. They put their very strong smelling trash and drop cloth in my kitchen trash can. (what were they doing in my kitchen?) They spilled something black in my garage right outside my door. It might have been something leaking from the trash bag. They left muddy stains from where they used the ladder, from the front door to the bedroom, guess they needed to rest a bit. The coupon was for 16 man hours (2 men at the same time) however they left after about 6 hours. I certainly did not get my moneys worth. I could have done this myself but I wanted a professional job. My husband and I could have done this without the stains on the floor, bathroom tile, or toilet!

Had I not gotten a and quot;dealand quot; with buy now option this would have been a bad experience. It was overall just average nothing to write here or home about.

They did the work exactly as promised.

On budget and on time. Very professional and exceeded our expectations.

Arrived on time and smelled heavily of cigarette smoke. I told them in detail what I needed painted; game room ceiling, upstairs hallway, kitchen, living room and I would like the dining room also, since it connected in a small way to the living room. I stressed the kitchen and hallway upstairs were the most crucial. I pointed out a water stain in the kitchen and thy assured me their primer would cover it. I ahve an open concept house, so if you paint kitchen you have to paint LR and should DR. I was very aware this was a lot of square footage and may go beyond 4 hours for 2 men. I told them I'd be willing to pay for longer if they didn't have another job they had to go to. They said they didn't and when the time came I could call Amber to get what I would owe for extra time. They determined that I was going to probably need another gallon of paint. I left them here while I went to the paint store. After they finished upstairs they came down and said they had enough time to do the DR, but totally acted lik I'd never told them about the LR or kitchen. Beliwve me, that was the biggest part of my first conversation with them! They could tell I was irriatated and agreed to do the kitchen and LR. Whyd did they think I need more paint??? I left to drop my dog off at the vet and when I returned they informed me the primer didn't cover the water spot and wanted to know if I had any KILZ. No, I didn't! Off to the store to buy KILZ!! I then called Amber to ask her if they needed to go, or could Im pay more for longer and that they estimated 2 more hours. the price...$60 hour X 2 painters = $240.00. They painters also told me they had not been told what they would be doing so they didin't bring their tall ladders to get an area that should have been done, but looks fine without new paint. All in all I'm happy with the work they did. They were pleasant, polite and realized they must not have listened too well at first. However, Jordan at Schuler Painting did more in 8 hours than they did in 12, I paid a lot less money. I was very happy that Amber got me scheduled right away,but disappointed the men weren't prepared to have the right equipment!

The job took 2 workers most of 2 days. Was well done and I was satisfied.

Terrific company. Far exceeded our expectations which were quite high as our home sits right in the middle of University Park. I would recommend to anyone. Thank you!

Arrived earlier than I expected - which was good - prompt - polite - no problems

From start to finish this company was excellent. Autumn was very responsive and provided an estimate for the job in a very timely manner. The crew she sent out was excellent. They were very polite, courteous and did a fantastic job. They worked so fast and were willing to stay late to get the job done which was great for me! They were so maticulous and transformed my home!! The lead painter of the crew was helpful when discussing a few changes to colors from what I had originally discussed and with his help I was able to make a few changes that I am more than happy with. They finished the job in just 2 days and cleaned up very nicely. I will definetly use them again if I ever need any more painting done!! The only complaint I had was that the estimate of how much paint I needed to buy was way over what I actually needed, and even though I rounded down to almost 1/2 of what they estimated I still ended up with way too much paint!! Luckily Lowes returned some of my already mixed paint!!

It took them 2 weeks to set up an appointment, then they did not show up for the first two we set up. When they finally did show up they were unprepared and did not have the proper equipment.

Autumn, the sales/account rep., was terrific. She spoke to me extensively about the job, asked and answered questions, and came out from Arlington to Richardson to see our house so she could tell painters exactly what to do. She understood we were trying to keep costs down and gave good advice on quantities of paint to buy, using paint we already had, choosing among several possible colors, and using the least expensive primer that would work. Because they have a dedicated crew for the Angie's List Big Deals, they were able to schedule us quickly and work around the time constraints I had. Autumn called to confirm a day or two before the work was scheduled to start. The painters arrived on time and went straight to work. They generally did a good job protecting floors and other surfaces, although I found a few drips and spatters after work was done -- not major and no permanent damage. They were finished long before a full workday was over, which is why I rate price at a B instead of an A -- I could easily have had them do two or three more rooms and/or repaint the bathroom trim as well. The painters showed me the completed work to be sure I was satisfied before they left, and I was. However, once the trim paint dried, completely, I was a bit disappointed with the coverage over all of the stencil paint. I think it could have used another coat. Overall, I was pleased and appreciated the punctuality and professionalism that is all too rare in this line of work.

I called the owner in advance of buying the deal. He explained how everything worked. Very responsive. Everyone very professional. On time. Very satisfied with the work done.

These folks were fantastic. I was initially skeptical when only one painter showed up - we have a two-story 3500 SF home and they were to start with the upper portions. Not only was he FAST, I have never seen anyone who could work a sprayer like that....he was truly an artist. When complete (2 trips - 8 hours total), our house looks like new, cleanup was done, and everything was covered better than I ever expected. Just wish I knew how he did it :)

Overall I was very happy with the service. The job was estimated to take two days. The crew wasn't able to start on the first day scheduled due to weather. But they made up for it by working a long day the second day to finsh the job. The crew also identified and replaced more damaged wood trim than was identified in the initial estimate. The only issue I had was that there was a bit of cleaning up I had to do after the crew left. I don't really hold this against the crew as they had worked a long day to finish up the painting that evening.

There were many reschedules. I paid in November and the house was painted in January. Many of the delays were due to weather. They called sometimes and somethimes I guess they assumed I could tell it was the weather or they were backed up because of a weather delay on another project.j When the painters finally came, they were EXCELLENT. The job was done well with attention to detail. They were polite, professional and cleaned up after the job was done.
