Description of Work: Arturo did a wonderful job on our window cushions. They look awesome. Work was done promptly at a reasonable price.

Description of Work: I found a chair online I liked and asked them to quote to reupholster a chair. They were very responsive and answering my questions and I thought the price for the work was very reasonable. But the chairs sold before I got to it therefore I never actually did business with this group

Description of Work: Arturo and his staff took our 24-year old sofa/love seat and re-upholstered it. We (my wife, that is) were very particular regarding the fabric design (we wanted Southwest), and, after showing us his inventory/sources of fabrics, we mutually agreed that we would find and purchase our own fabric, which we did. Because the frame of our sofa/love seat was so well-built, Arturo was able to work with it. He firmed up the springs and replaced all cushions and fillings. We were amazed how "soft" and "mushy" our couches had become. Arturo is a busy guy, and we hit some bumps regarding scheduling and timing, but the end results were worth it. Also, when Arturo found out we had rented some furniture while ours was being re-upholstered, he re-imbursed us some of the rental fees, in part because he regretted he had forgotten to advise us he had some "loaners" he could have offered. Finally, there was some material left over, and Arturo - at no extra charge - made 4 additional pillows for us. The craftsmanship is excellent. The staff were professional and engaging. We are very pleased!

Description of Work: They repaired some lawn chair cushions that I wanted to keep because the color matched the house paint. Then, they gave me fabric samples of similar material to allow me to see if I wanted to make new ones. Very good small business with the owner completely involved.

Description of Work: Mr. Moreno took two chairs that I had stored in my garage for 10 years to fix. He painted, sealed, recovered, and redid the stuffing in a 50 year old metal office side chair with arms. He also recovered and repaired a 50 year samsonite metal office chair without arms. In addition, I had him redo the stuffing material, touch up the paint, and seal the paint on four 50 year old metal office side chairs with arms that a large Fort Worth company did not do right.

Description of Work: Arturo from Star Upholstery is very friendly, courteous, and professional. He has repaired some dining room table chairs and a living room upholstered bench and they turned out great. On one of the chairs, the back wooden slats cracked off and he made new ones that matched perfectly - and stained them to match perfectly as well. In 2010, he repaired a large leather ottoman. The wooden frame of the ottoman broke, but the outside leather was in perfect condition. He fixed the frame and it looks and works just like new. We have alot of people in our family between immediate family, in-laws, cousins and the ottoman gets used virtually every day and it is still in use today. I have been very pleased with Arturo and will definitely call on him again for any future furniture or upholstery needs.

Description of Work: I had a large club chair and ottoman reupholsterd, Arturo added padding to the arms and I requested feathers be added to the foam in the seat cushion. The fabric I selected did not have a pattern but he did add cording to the chair and a tailored skirt to the ottoman. My friend who recommended him had 2 wing chairs done with a floral fabric that was matched perfectly.
