I knew it was a success when my husband sat down in his favorite chair and said, "This is perfect!" I was relieved and very happy. The couch and chair look like new and are much more comfortable now.

Great! Arturo explained how he thought it should be done, and that's exactly how it looked when he was finished.

All work was first class. Arturo took it upon himself to upgrade the seats from their original thin board base to a substantial plywood suspension base. He came up with a creative idea for making sure the bench cushions would be reversible when fastened to the benches. He made absolutely sure all work was completed to our complete satisfaction. We could not be happier and recommend him without hesitation provided you allow him sufficient time to do a topnotch job. My wife and I are both pleased beyond description and wish there was a way to give them an A+ rating.

They contacted me promptly and gave me an estimate very quickly. Art provided suggestions as to good places to find fabrics. I had 2 recliners recovered. They built the bag cushions that were sagging back up. He picked up the chairs, told me it would be approximately 3 weeks to complete the job, and I believe it was 3 weeks and 2 days. I'm very pleased with the quality of the work!!!

Arturo is a master at his craft! We inherited a beautiful old settee that had been in my husband's family for four generations (that we know for sure). It was still in great shape, but the seat cushion was well worn and needed some TLC and the fabric was faded. Arturo and his crew did an amazing job bringing our piece back to life. He put some tufting in the arms and back and stuffed the seat with down filling. Before he got a hold of it, the settee was pretty, but not at all comfortable. Since getting it back in its new skin, it is one of the most comfortable seats in the house! It's become my new favorite place to sit with my coffee Saturday morning and catch up on magazine reading! We LOVE the work Arturo and his guys did. Couldn't be more pleased. Arturo even picked up and delivered the settee because it was too long to fit in my SUV. He is very professional and polite and easy to communicate with via text or phone. I will be using his service's again to do a chair for our master bedroom soon.

He did a good job. My only complaint with him was that it took forever. It's not cheap to get upholstery done. I believe they were $200 a chair. If I have something custom done, I just expect to pay that much. He had to put the little brass nail heads all in a little row across the edge and across the back too so that was an added expense. They are beautiful and they look really good, and he did a good job. They really look very pretty. They were just so tardy. I wasn't pressuring him. I didn't tell him I needed it the next day, that I'm having a dinner party or something. I think it was my fault for not asking where they are. I was always able to talk to him. He always responded to me. He was professional but he was not the most professional person I ever dealt with. I would use him again.

He does great work. He picks up and delivers. I have recommended him to others.

Arturo and his team re-upholstered 2 wing-back chairs just beautifully. The job was within the estimated budget, the estimated time, and the chairs look beautiful. We provided the material, so the price was for labor and pup/delivery. We would definitely use them again!! Thanks Arturo & team!

I am absolutely thrilled with the work Mr. Moreno did. From start to finish, he was responsive and easy to work with. I sent him pictures via text of the items I wanted to upholster. He had responded and told me how much fabric to buy before I even got a response from the other two providers I contacted via Angie's List. He came and picked up the items and agreed to complete the work within a month which I thought was extremely quick. In the end, he did need another week but didn't charge for the pick up and drop off because he was a bit delayed. His work is beautiful, detailed and careful. The furniture is awesome. It makes me want to transform the rest of my house! The settee belonged to my great aunt and is a true antique. He lovingly hand stitched much of it, and it looks fantastic. I can't recommend him highly enough. My only hesitation is that I know the quality of his work means he will be busier and busier.

They are very competitive with their estimates and the quality of service is exceptional! The pick up and delivery fee was very reasonable. I will definitely be using their services again.

Arturo did an AMAZING job re-upholstering the front seats and armrest of my 1996 Ford Explorer. He duplicated the original stitched pattern of the leather seats and matched the color. The truck was still running good and now it looks good too, thanks to Arturo. Very professional, polite, and dependable. I will definitely call on Arturo for my next project and you should too.

The guy was really professional. He just picked up the couch, left with it, and returned it timely. There was no cleanup. It was because of the price that I went with him. He came to the house with a bunch of swatches and things that I could choose.

I had a sofa (with 5 pillows), chair and ottoman re-upholstered. Arturo did magnificent work! I wanted the wood painted a shiny black to match some other furniture I was buying, and Arturo took care of getting that done as well. The finished product is just beautiful. I bought my own fabric, but Arturo came out to give me an estimate and indicated how much fabric I should buy. In addition to upholstering the sofa, chair and ottoman, Arturo made some throw pillows with the left over fabric and a cushion for a vanity stool totally free of charge. We were in the process of moving, so Arturo picked up our furniture prior to our move and then delivered it to our new address once we got moved. Our move date got delayed several times, but Arturo willingly kept our furniture in his shop until we were finally able to move. I have had many compliments on the furniture, and I would definitely use Star Upholstery again. I think Arturo's fee was very reasonable and my total cost was much lower than buying a new living room set. Plus I was able to have exactly the colors and fabric that I wanted.

Mr Moreno did a fabulous job and worked overtime to return my sofa in a few days.

I sent a message to Star Upholstery along with a picture of my old, worn out, but favorite chair to see if they could bring it back to life. Arturo responded very promptly with an estimate of the cost of labor to do the job. I told him the sort of fabric I had in mind and he came out to my house with tons of fabric samples (all price ranges). Through much deliberation, I ended up choosing one of the more expensive fabrics. Arturo helped me pick out the trim color. A couple of weeks later, he delivered a BEAUTIFUL re-covered chair that rivals any that I've seen. It far exceeds my expectations and I absolutely love the quality of the work, the look of the chair, and the attention to detail. The trim that Arturo picked works perfectly and he even threw in a little pillow that he made with the leftover trim fabric. I love how even down on the skirt, he added the trim fabric in the pleat- it's this attention to detail that sets it apart. I highly recommend Star Upholstery and will use them again if I'm in the market for this type of work.

First of all , I figured if Aurturo was rated highly on Angies List he must be pretty trustworthy. Right? approximately the first Saturday in May, my husband and I drove over to Mr. Moreno's shop. Just to see what kind of work he did. His shop was very small but he had several things he was working on, and the work he was doing looked nice. We asked if reupholstered patio furniture and he said yes. We picked out some fabric out of the book he gave us, but he could not not give us a price on it at that time. He gave me the sample book to take home and said he would call me Monday. We left the cushions with him that day. When II asked for a receipt he said I didn't need one. When he called , the fabric we wanted was too high. So we chose another fabric, one solid and one stripe.. He said he would order the fabric for eight cushions and four lumbar pillows and it should be in by that Friday. He told me he would be able to have them done before Memorial weekend. On the morning of May 15 he came by my house to see my actual patio furniture to see how he wanted to do the fasteners. I was very impressed that he took the time to do that. At that time he took one of my chairs back to the shop with him. His son and his wife delivered my cushions on Thursday May 24. I told her that their were supposed to be four lumbar cushions , I was told he would get them done next week. I paid him the full amount owed in good faith that he was a man of his word. I have called him every week since then, and he always says he will have it Monday. .But I have yet to hear from him. I am the only one doing the calling. I told him I have one back cushion taller than the other one and some fasteners don't match up. Please, if he would just finish his job and make things right I would be forever grateful. I am a senior citizen on a fixed budget, I paid my bill, when is he going to keep his word? .

He was fast and responsible. He was fantastic and the work was fantastic as well. You can't even tell its been repaired. I will use him again and refer him anytime.

They were very informative; helped me choose the correct material so as to withstand extreme weather conditions. Their work was beautifully done, completed on time and the price was fair. Will definitely use them again.

He was very prompt on his appointment to see the furniture and provide estimates. I feel his estimates were excellent value for the jobs. He was also very prompt on the delivery of the couch and bench. The large chairs were a more complicated project and there were some delays on delivery, but Arturo did a magnificent job and we are extremely pleased. We had bid other groups on this and he was the only one who was able to get the exact materials we wanted and do the details of the project. He also helped us with an old stain on our rug, which was way beyond the call of duty. We would use him again for any other upholstery projects. Highly recommend!

I like him a lot and he is very easy to work with. It didn't come out exactly as I expected. However, he is currently fixing it free of charge, which I really appreciate.

Prompt pickup and delivery. Beautiful job of reupholstering! Returned extra fabric as I requested so that I could make additional pillows. Entire job took about 2 weeks. I was very pleased with results and entire experience.

Beautiful work. Missed two delivery dates. Finally delivered four weeks late. Excuses for tardy delivery not consistent.

Our long time upholsterer died, and we knew no one for a needed project. Checked Angie's and found this company,they presented their bid and finished the work 2 days early! Chairs looked better than new. They gave advice without being pushy or know it all, and were courteous and friendly. Had forgotten that such great customer service still exists in today's world, where sadly you expect to be disappointed. I recommend Star without reservations, in fact, on a scale of 1 to 5 stars, I give them 10.
