Southern Painting - Arlington/Mansfield

Everything went well. The job started first thing Monday morning and they were completely done by Friday. The entire crew was professional and friendly. We are very pleased with how everything turned out.

No work was performed since I never contacted this company.

It's easy to write a review when all goes as planned. Southern Painting took significant time up front to talk about the project, what all is involved, what our options were and how much it would cost. There was nothing that they left uncovered. The actual process involved scraping old paint, removing rotting wood, extensive preparation of entire house including chalk and prepping new wood with primer. All windows and areas where paint should not go were covered up with plastic. The painting went fast; two coats of premium Sherwin Williams paint. They also painted our metal fence, gate and repaired and textured a hole in an internal wall. All this got done in about 3 days of work. They brought in about 10 people who worked long days. They were polite and cleaned up after themselves. I don't mind paying a little more to know that in the end that all was done very well. They are an A+ company and for a good reason.

It was a great experience. Chris came out and quoted the work, recommended the package for us to use and explained the whole process. The quote was very affordable and including the replacement of trim that was damaged due to age and in some cases, squirrels. At each step, we were called and notified when the workers would be here. It took 2 days to prep and paint the house. It looks great! I asked a few additional items be done and it was at a very minor cost increase. I am having Chris come by again to quote on inside work. I would do business with Southern Painting anytime and highly recommend their work.

Contacted Southern Painting for an exterior painting quote on my 1,500sf (one-story) home. Within a couple days David Dozier (coordinator/manager?) called to schedule a visit and came out. I already had 2 additional quotes, but chose Southern because they had competitive pricing and David did a great job of explaining their process and exactly what the painters would be doing. They actually give 3-4 options based on number of coats and offer 2 types of Sherwin paints for the customer to choose from. They came out the weekend before to power-wash so that the exterior would have time to dry, and then did the actual painting and some carpentry repair the following Saturday (took 1 full day). David stayed in contact the week before as well as the day of painting, which I appreciated. After the painting was finished, the site foreman did a walk-thru as the painters (4 I believe) were cleaning up. They left no mess and I found no problems with the painting itself or the wood repair (chimney surround and one facia board). Overall, I was very pleased and will definitely recommend them to my neighbors.

We had four estimates and even though his price was not the lowest, David Dozier's estimate was fair and by far the most professional. After I had agreed to the scope of work my husband added some extras while the painters were here and they handled the changes beautifully. His large team was quick, clean and polite and we are very pleased with their work. I highly recommend Southern Painting.

I was very impressed with the work Southern Painting provided. I felt that I was in the loop every step of the way. Southern Painting did all they promised, quickly and efficiently, which included power washing, priming and prepping all wood and caulking all windows. I have gotten multiple compliments on the beautiful job SP did. I would definitely recommend them and use them again.

It went great. I used them for my interior so I went with them to do the exterior.

They're fast. They were good. We had some agents repair some cracks and it wasn't perfect. They were great on punctuality and professionalism.

They are wonderful to work with. They don't cause a mess. They did not get one speck of paint anywhere. The started and finished the job when they said they would. The owner is so nice. They make it comfortable to have in the home. They are really hard workers.

They did a very very good job. They finished on time. They did it the way it was suppose to be done.

It turned out pretty good. They were professional. I have used them for at least ten years.

It went great. They were pretty reasonable compared to everybody else. They weren't the cheapest by any stretch and they weren't the most expensive by any stretch. It was a great experience because of their flexibility, their timeliness, their cleanliness and they always picked up after themselves. They just did an outstanding job. I have no complaints. They kept us informed of where they were how much longer it was going to be and so and so forth.

They did an excellent job. They cleaned up after themselves. I am still pleased to this day. They painted rooms and a hallway.

It turned out pretty good. At the end everything was done right, they patched the walls and did a great job.

.Services went well, second time out, they come out give a quote they honor the quote. They come out and get the job done,they clean up after themselves. They are good people to have in home. Member received three different quotes and theirs were the most reasonable.

They probably don't want me to review them. They did the exterior painting several years ago and last time with interior the supervisor was out of town and so they were working without a supervisor and nobody was checking on their work and it all turned out to be kind of sloppy and I had him back out here once but still no supervisor so I finally just gave up. I probably would not use them again for interior job. I know it is dependent on the crew, but this crew weren't the best and might have done with supervision. No attention to details even if you call back them they didn't get things fixed. I shouldn't have to point out every little splat and instead they should find those themselves. They did a poor job.

The work was performed in timely and good fashion. There were some clean up, furniture reposition, and a broken sprinkler pipe however owner David Dozier rectified those issues quickly and with apology.

Everything went well. I will say this was the bigger mess then we expected but the work was done promptly , BEAUTIFULLY and on schedule.

Mgr came to my house to give a quote. About a week or so later I called to finalize the service I needed. Mgr said he would call me back with a service date but he never called. I have even called and left a message. It's been about a month now with no response. I guess my job wasn't big enough to keep their attention.

They have done several jobs. When they did the walk through their was nothing they needed to fix. They are extremely neat and cleaned up after themselves. I recommend them to anyone.

Mark came to my home to estimate the job. Since the front porch was too small to meet their minimum, I asked him to quote doing both porches. Another painting company was there finishing a remodel of my kitchen and dining room and Mark seemed more interested in why I didn't call Southern to do that, which made me uncomfortable. However, he quoted me what I thought was a reasonable price, so I asked him when he could start. He said they would get me on their schedule and call me with a date. A week or so later, a large "Southern Painting" sign appeared in my yard. I don't like advertising signs on my property, so I pulled it up and laid it behind some bushes near the front porch. When I called Mark a few days later to ask when a painter would start, I mentioned that I didn't want his sign in my yard and to come and get it. Mark explained that Jose would arrive in a couple of days to power wash the concrete porches. On the appointed day, Jose arrived with a helper to power wash the concrete, so it could dry enough to paint the following day. I didn't watch him do this because it was almost dinnertime and was getting dark outside. The next morning, he arrived and said that he had actually power washed the walls by mistake and didn't realize that he was supposed to power wash only the concrete. Since Jose speaks English very well, I don't think it was a translation issue with his management. He power washed both concrete porches and left for several hours while they dried. He returned and started painting. He worked quickly and efficiently and did a truly professional job. I asked Jose to take the sign with him, but he said that someone else would pick it up the next week. Both porches look great, but because of the walls being power washed, the windows near the porches were dirty and water spotted, so they had to be cleaned.

They're outstanding. They're 10 out of 10. Each time, they've been extremely efficient. It was exactly the price that they quoted you which was a good price. They come in and they tell you when they're coming in. They're on time. They tell you within an hour. They clean up afterwards. They moved the furniture. It's just perfect.
