After months of looking for the right company, this company’s two owners/salesmen, Ron Black and Kris Malachi walked in and dazzled me with their professionalism. They had it all together and all the right answers. Glossy brochure complete with information, insurance verification, references, etc. I hired them to do the job of remodeling a bathroom and they started the next week. My goal was to change a half bath to a full handicapped accessible bath for my elderly mother who now lives with me. Work began, but at some point during the next two weeks I began to doubt the quality of the work being done by Majestic’s employees. I questioned it, but Kris always had an answer. Still doubtful, I felt better knowing it would all eventually be inspected by the city. Having no real construction knowledge of my own, but knowing this type work should involve permits and inspection, it is something I insisted on from the beginning and was assured it happen. I began to ask when the inspection would take place. Again, Kris had the answer. He told me the inspection was already scheduled and gave me a day and time for later that week. When his workers began covering work that I knew needed to first be inspected, I grew more suspicious and called the City of Euless to find that permits had never been pulled. A city inspector came to my home, stopped all work and made workers leave. To shorten a long story, all work stopped for weeks, and further inspection proved their work was completely substandard, and quite frankly, dangerous. They removed a small, but partially load-bearing wall without bothering to brace up the ceiling above. Door frames were moved and enlarged without creating proper headers also affecting the structural integrity of the home. Plumbing was incorrectly done, including no P-trap which would have allowed sewer gasses to back up into the home. Proper waterproofed material was not used on walls of the tile shower to prevent moisture buildup and mold. Electrical connections were left open-wired and without boxes. Nothing was done to code. I have hired someone else to come in and finish the job and he’s basically had to start over.
