The team came out to provide a quote and arrive quite late. They called to let us know they were running late, and we let it slide. We chose them for our cleaning services and they arrived on the set day, on time. Once they were here however, things kept being overlooked. Some of our closet and bedroom doors were wiped down, others were not. Some floors were mopped well, others were not. They skipped a bedroom upstairs, didn’t clean the kitchen counters or sink, only mopped, missed a hallway and entryway. When I walked through upstairs, I mentioned that the baseboards weren’t wiped down and asked if they could please go back up to do so. They said they did the other baseboards in the house, and pointed them out to show me. However, when it came time to lay them for the day, they charged $40 extra for wiping down baseboards. If they had quoted us that up front, then ok. But to go back after the fact and charge extra (my husband paid, as I was feeding the baby, and would have objected) seems disingenuous. We knew this was a big job, and we agreed to their per hour fee without a problem, it seemed very reasonable. But at 6pm it felt like they were ready to be done, and were out the door, even though the work wasn’t done. Also, if there was a cap to their time, it would have been helpful to know up front, so we could have prioritized what to clean and what not to. As it is, we have real estate photos being taken tomorrow, and now we have to spend time cleaning what they missed, when the whole point was to have the cleaning taken off our individual to-do lists, in order to focus on other remaining tasks. Did they do the hours of work we paid them for? Yes. Does the house look better than it did? Absolutely! Would I hire them again? Sadly, I would not.
