+ -1 moreSince this was such a large project, we interviewed about 8 companies before choosing Knight Erosion Control. The soil in our area is very unstable, so we were extremely concerned that this be done right and by someone knowledgeable in our area. We chose them due to the fact that they do work extensively in the Las Colinas area, and the strength of the construction they proposed. Additionally, they have been building these walls since the 1980s, including on many of the golf courses in the area. Their bid was neither the most nor the least expensive we received, but they clearly knew what they were doing more than any of the other companies we consulted. They took care of the permits and engineering as well. It has now been several months since the wall was replaced and everything looks good.
Description of Work: Removed an old failing railroad tie retaining wall measuring approximately 130ft x 5 ft. Replaced with an r-rap system wall reinforced with rebar.
