After accessing the problem with the oven i asked to be called .Informed tenant they would call me yet never did. I had to call the next morning , told have someone call me , yet I never heard from technician. I had to call again. Finally tech. called and informed me the cost to fix which was 1/2 the cost of a new one and they could only give me a 30 day warranty. I chose to pay service charge and seek new oven.

On Saturday morning, we heard a snapping sound in our dishwasher as we opened the door. The door immediately became so heavy as to unmanageable. We decided to wait to Monday to call. After a check on the list, I decided to call Appliance Services because of their proximity to my home. My call was answered promptly despite it being the busiest day of the week. I was told that It would not be until the evening that a tech could call and make the appointment. I got a call about 4:30 and the tech was at my house in 15 minutes. He immediately diagnosed the problem as a bi-lateral cable tear, stating that the door would not be so heavy as that if the cable on only one side was broken. Fortunately, the kit in his truck contained both cables and, in the event, when he moved the dishwasher to install the cables, I could see that they were broken on both sides. As we had lived in this house some three years, it is likely we had a broken cable when we moved in. The total repair took about a half an hour and the door is functioning better than when we first moved in. The fee was exactly as mentioned in the phone call, plus the cost for the kit.

The job went very well. They had the part with them. I was afraid they would have to order the part and make me wait. They were able to fix it that day. It went very well.
