Joe answered my call within 2 minutes. He was on time and did an excellent job. He ended up removing several tiles and putting down new ones. He was very much a professional.

We received a bid from another company which was five times the price this company charged. Joe did an excellent job!

Very good quality and a great price. Joe was punctual and got the work done timely. He is very experienced and understood what I needed without much of explanation. Very easy to work with.

Joe was prompt in returning my initial call and came out when he said he would on giving bid (which he stuck to) and doing the tile job. His price was one of the 3 lowest bids. I chose him because he seemed the most easy to work with and trustworthy. He was readily agreeable in using the products I requested, i.e. thinset, hardibacker, poly barrier, etc. I didn't hire a general contractor because they were a lot more expensive. However I found out that Joe and his helper ONLY do tile and any issues connected to the tile job (like carpentry, drywall, etc) would need to be handled by someone other than them. There were a few pin holes in the grout (that I found when I applied the grout sealer) and the soap dish was a little off level, but I didn't call him back on something small like that. All in all, the tile looks good.

I did not go with them. I just got a better estimate. I would not use them.

My master bath shower pan failed and I did all the demo work and replaced all the subfloor. I took the wall down the studs also. I asked for a quote to create the new shower pan , tile the walls and ceiling and also tile the floor ( was carpet ). I bought all the tile and cement board and so all I needed was a skilled tile team. The guys were fast and did a great job. But most importantly, they did it right. They know exactly what to do and how to do it. If you quiz tile installers on how to build a shower pan, you can get a lot of wrong answers which will lead to failure ( like my old shower) down the road in a couple of years. Building a shower pan is tedious, detail-oriented work and they did it right. Thanks guys! They gave a lot of suggestions like using hopscotch pattern on the floor and brick pattern on the walls of the shower. They also built a niche in the shower and a corner seat which was perfect. I will gladly use them again.

Joe did the work quietly and cleanly. The result was good overall, and for a fair price.

joe came and gave an estimate. I agreed and he came back another day and placed the tile. then he came back the next day and grouted. he was very easy to work with. he even helped me remove a pipe on the water heater I was fixing. I will probably have him come back to do the other bathroom.

They were prompt, courteous and professional. They explained all of the procedures to us.

Joe Pena had done excellent work for us 12 years ago when he refurbished our shower stall that had developed a pan leak under the tile. He rebuilt the shower, removed old tile and damaged substructure, and replaced with new ceramic tile in the entire shower. The workmanship was excellent and to this day still looks like new. Joe also laid new tile on the bathroom floor and front entryway at same time. Most recently, Joe removed an area of carpet from the rear entryway and laid ceramic tile to replace the worn carpet at the door. He also touched up corners of the shower stall with new grout.
