Description of Work: He put up a wall in my house and painted it. He also did some other interior painting.

Description of Work: Painted my home entry foyer area and large entertainment room. Gave me quote in one day, started work four days later with a professional team of painters. Received several quotes from other companies, this was substantially lower than others received. Our foyer and other room have heavy trim, crown molding, wide base boards, fireplace with fancy wood trim designs. Stairwell in foyer contained handrails with wood spindles. Sanded all wood surfaces, brush painted wood with no visible brush marks. Painted walls and ceilings. Did an excellent job quickly, and kept work area remarkably clean.

Description of Work: JAV Painting completed painting and drywall repair of a new cabana guest suite. They installed metal corners over exposed drywall. They repaired drywall which had been installed poorly. They painted the entire suite - ceiling, walls, and trim.

Description of Work: Replaced the insulation and drywall damaged by leakage caused by a storm that blew off an area of shingles. Then textured and repainted the area. Overall several hundred square feet of wall and ceiling were repaired in 3 different areas. Also painted the entire exterior and fixed some trim. Incredible amount of work for the price.

Description of Work: Framed in 4'x8' area of kitchen ceiling where outdated flourescent lighting used to be recessed and then installed drywall. Repaired 1 large drywall hole and 1 medium drywall hole in ceilings and 1 large drywall hole in wall caused by updating ac/heat ductwork. Removed popcorn from large vaulted living room ceiling and in master bath/vanity ceilings. Put a flat texture (knockdown/drag treatment) on all ceilings throught out house (approx 1800 sq ft). Painted all ceilings, walls, and trim (except stair bannister) throughout interior of house excluding the closets and garage.

Description of Work: JAV Painting is an excellant contractor. I'm very picky and pay close attention to details. Javier and his crew are very professional and go out of thier way to make sure the job is done right and to my preferences. He follows up after the job to make sure I'm completely satisfied and does any minor touch ups at no additional charge. This is the second time I've hired JAV to do some remodeling which included building out a couple of interior rooms, tape, bed, texture, and paint these rooms. The build out required some angled walls and matching existing trim. The end result was ausome. I highly reccomend them

Description of Work: We had the walls of a two story high entry, staircase, landing and living room painted, all of the trim,doors, two breakthroughs, a fireplace mantel painted as well as a staircase railing and the banister restained. In addition, we had water damage on stained wood panels and the stained mantel in a two story high library repaired and those areas and some of the bleached out stained window sills and frames restained.

Description of Work: i contacted jav painting co. after reading reviews on angies list. havier came on time, twice and we were impressed. his bid was fair. we took two bids. he started work as scheduled and there was no problem. to be honest i was impressed by the work was going on. he received the first draw on time withput any problem. the scope of the work given to jav was extensive. javier fixed th few problems brought to his attention. one thing i did not like about jav painting (javier owner) was he was given another huge contract ($7,800)after the two original were initially given to him. reason being after the porch problem was opened up another problem initiated. javier brought another contractor friend of his. whatever amount was asked by javier and his subcontractor friend, the owner agreed to without hesitation. he just wanted the work done and he had liked jav's work so far. no problem. (i am the middle person handling all subs for the owner) the $7,800.00 bid was ok'd by 9:00 am monday morning. i saw no work was being done pertaining to this bid even by thursday. when i finally did ask javier as to what is going on he said. no problem his sub is coming. by thursday afternoon a sub did arrive and i felt uncomfortable. my instincts told me something was amiss. why? i felt since it is such a high bid why has the owner of this new subcontractor not here on such an high end job? i informed the owner about the situation and upon his permission i interjected a conversation between javier and this new subcontractor's person. i questioned why the job had not started and why the owner was not present? i was informed at first that the person present was the owner's employee and later story changed to the person who came out was the owner's partner. all these were red flags to me. i told jav painting owner javier this is not right by him. why? he wasted an entire week without informing me what the problem was. he should have come to me as soon as he felt a major problem was coming his way pertaining to only the newest bid. i could have found new sub contractors immediately through angies list. jav painting continued with the original remaining bids. he continued professionally with no problem until i started noticing he was trying to rush and cut corners. to be honest he does try to please and fix the problems as they arise. i felt i was having to point out a few too many. in short he was trying to rush the job and i cannot have let him do that on this job. my reputation was at stake. he was informed he just could not cut corners on this estate. in the end tempers flared on both sides and javier was asked to leave. he was fired. we settled financial parts and parted ways. never to use him again. he did leave a big mess behind. but i rather clean his mess than have him do the work.

Description of Work: All interior rooms in house. Removed 'popcorn texture' from ceilings throughout the house, retextured with updated flat surface and painted. Textured, painted and glazed dining room, entry way, front bath, master bath, hall with new faux texture. Painted all 4 bedrooms, painted trim in one. Fixed all sheet rock in garage, then sprayed new texture and painted interior garage.

Description of Work: Javier and his crew painted 5 upstairs bedrooms, bathroom and downstairs utility room. The upstairs Jack and Jill bathrooms and the utility room both had wallpaper that needed to be dealt with before painting. They primed/re-textured walls where needed and painted. They also painted all our baseboards and many interior doors. Some of the painting was oil based paint and some was latex.
