He was very thorough and took pictures for reference to include in the report, including arrows. He emailed the report to me within 24 hours. He gave us tips on what additions we could make to save energy costs. He also gave us good information regarding troubleshooting possible problems. I would recommend him to anyone needing a home inspection.

He also checked the the roof, pool, sprinklers, attic, electricity. As he was doing the inspection, he also provided very helpful information about many functions. He was very patient and nice in answering our questions. He is a very pleasant person to work with. He sent the inspection report within 24 hours of the inspection. I will recommend him to anyone who needs an inspection.

Description of Work: Kent was really cool, he was ontime.. actually got there a few minutes before we did and was beginning the inspection. He went over the house, what was in the house, the sprinkler system etc etc.. even had a coupon offered from angies list.. We had a home inspection and one for a termite inspection, the coupon was for the termite inspection only. He offered facts about the house in our walk through, gave us suggestions on what may or may not be a concern in regards to saving energy.The windows may need to be replaced down the line, or what the type of heating was in the house.. (which caused my wife to think that the heating may need to be replaced years from now- due to her experience working for an electric company- electric strip heating.. blah) His report was emailed to us the next morning with photos, detailed write ups, and links offered in regards to the photos and the write ups. Our realtor was impressed with the report saying it was very detailed (and giving me the impression from her that kents reports contained more than what usual home inspection report contains) He tested the appliances, the sprinklers, the heating and the cooling, the doors, for any cracks in the walls,the plumbing (showers, pipes under sinks, toilets) gave us his opinion on work that may have been done by the home owner or previous homeowner, checked the electrical, and the fuse box,vents, and even walked up into the attic personally and walked around checking vents insulation etc etc. In other words.. he was very thorough and called me back within ten minutes after I left a message for him regarding his services. Kent even went up on the roof and checked the shingles and the chimney

+ -1 moreIt was a very good experience over all. I called Kent to ask a few questions. Kent was very professional and answered all of my question I had. We made a appointment that worked well for the time I had in mind. Kent encouraged me to go with him on the inspection. I learned quite a bit and I was sure I had pick the right person for the job. Kent is professional , knowledgeable and pleasant to work with. I had a much better understanding of the house after the inspection and that lead me to a stronger negotiating position with the house seller.

He encouraged my husband and I to follow him during the inspection, he was full of helpful suggestions and explainations (great for first time home buyers) - very friendly and professional. The full inspection lasted about 3 hours and we had the report the next day, even thought it was a Sunday. He was also very prompt in responding to my initial request for a quote, I had an answer within 2 hours despite sending the email in the evening. This is a dedicated and thoughtful inspector.

He offered a couple times to reduce the price of inspecting the crawl space if I'd accompany him into the mud and cobwebs, but I allowed him to do it by himself. :-) He was full of helpful suggestions and comments. His detailed report was delivered overnight — replete with pictures and arrows and explanations.

+ -1 moreKeith responded promptly to my initial contact. We made an appointment and he arrived on time. He have a good sense of humor yet very knowledgeable and thorough throughout the inspection. Luckily the house I am buying is in very good shape. Still Keith was able to point out a few major thing that require fixing and offer good advice throughout the process while I was tagging along. He delivered a very detailed report the next day with picture to back up his claim. This made the negotiation process much easier. I would definitely use his service again in the future.

+ -1 moreI contacted Green Tag via their website to request an estimate for a home inspection and had a response in just a few hours. Kent informed me that he could get me scheduled in just two days. Unfortunately I was not under contract yet on the house so I had to put it off a week. Finally when it came time to schedule, I sent Kent an email at 10pm on a Wednesday evening and got a response within a few minutes! I was shocked. And even more shocked when he got my inspection scheduled for first thing Friday morning. By Saturday morning, my inspection was in my inbox! Since my contract had a short inspection period, Kent's promptness was a great help. I was unable to be there so I requested lots of pictures and details - again Kent delivered. Next time I buy a property, Kent will be my inspector!

+ -1 moreKent was great from start to finish, very thorough, easy to talk with and understand. Great report with pictures. He covers both general home inspection and termite inspection, which is another convenience.In addition, when he came out to the new home we were buying, the gas meter was not connected, which made it necessary for him to return to check all gas appliances once the meter was installed.Kent cheerfully agreed to return once the builder had hooked up the meter. In addition, Kent sustained an injury right as our meter was installed that forced him to cancel his other appointments for that week until his twisted ankle healed. However, he was kind enough to come out and despite his injured ankle, he finished checking out our gas appliances and completed the inspection. My husband and I were especially impressed by his willingness to do this for us, especially considering the circumstances. Therefore, I cannot say enough kind things about Kent. He's super!!!
Description of Work: Complete home inspection with verbal run through and pictures and suggestions for fixes to any issues. Termite inspection as well.

+ -1 moreOutstanding. Kent responded fast when I contacted him regarding the home inspection and his availability. He was on time and on task. He quoted $275, but charged me $200 (without me asking for a discount, nice) since he was able to go through the inspection quicker than he had projected. He walked me throughout the inspection about and around the house. He pointed out things that my builder went above and beyond on (willing to give credit where it is due, nice); pointed out the few things that needed correction; and also pointed some opportunities to improve aesthetics (amazing attention to detail, even when not structural). He was thorough...run all appliances, checked safety brackets, was up in the attic, walked the flower bed, was up on the roof. Kent emailed me the detailed inspection report several hours later. No fluff...facts were well articulated, with supporting pictures. He also included an an objective itemized summary saving me some time from making a check-point list. I got more than my money's worth. Thanks Kent! Thank you Angie's List.

+ -1 moreMr. Keith promptly returned phone calls each time. He was able to work with my own schedule so that we could have enough time for a thorough walk-through after he was finished. He was thorough and showed appropriate attention to detail throughout. I appreciated that he is also a good communicator, and seemed knowledgeable about the variety of areas that I had questions about. He took his time to explain things and let me know when I might need to get additional information from someone with more specialzed knowledge in certain areas. The inspection reports were prepared and ready within less than 24 hours. They were both thorough and clear. He encouraged feedback and follow up questions from all parties.
Description of Work: Mr. Keith from Green Tag Inspections performed a residential home inspection for us. The home was built pre-1975, has a pool, and has a sizable amount of square footage. His inspection included the basic elements of the house (roof, slab, electrical wiring, etc), as well as termite damage, and inspection of the pool and sprinkler systems. He prepared an inspection report for the house and pool, as well as a separate report for the termite inspection.

+ -1 moreKent is the guy you want to inspect the home you're thinking of buying. I had been to the house a couple of times before and had already formulated some concerns and questions of my own. Kent invited me to accompany him during his inspection and communicated with me during the entire 3 hour process.. I found him to be thorough, patient, and professional. The next day which was a Sunday I received his extensive report by email. It's 20 or so pages included photos, explanations. safety concerns, and plenty of details. In summary let me just say this, Kent knows his job and he's d*** good at it! I will use him again.

He encouraged us to be there with him throughout the inspection. He was thorough, taking his time to make sure we understood all aspects of the inspection. He arrived promptly and went about his inspection. His price was fair and, since he is only an inspector, he did not try to sell me pest control services. He answered my questions about termites and inspections in general. I wish I could have hired him to do the inspection on our new house.

+ -1 moreI called on wendsday to schedule an inspection of our first home. We scheduled the appointment for friday and he confirmed the appointment time for 9am with me the next day. I arrived at about 9:15 and Kent was already inside at work. He had no problems with me following him around and peppering him with as many questions as I could think of. He even taught me some maintenance tips and simple fixes for common problems (I am now a garbage disposal repair expert). He took his time and did not seem rushed at all. He was very personable and easy to communicate with. I feel confident that he did a thorough job. I received a copy of the report the next morning with pictures of all areas that had any issues. I was very pleased that our future home had only minimal, mainly cosmetic issues. With all of the extra insight to the ends and outs of the new house, I am much more confident we will able to keep it in good condition. I feel like more home inspectors should realize that a home inspection is not just an evaluation of the house's current state, but an opportunity to educate the home owners on how to keep their investment in good repair. Kent provided this extra value to us at a very excellent price. Win Win!

A++ The only tiny negative thing I could say was that was he came a few minutes later than the scheduled appointment - but he did call me to inform me that he was running a few minutes behind. When he arrived Kent was quick to get started. He was very, very through and explained fully what he discovered and was patient to answer any questions I had. He made recommendations too. I would certainly use him again.
Description of Work: Kent preformed a full inspection of my recently purchased home (this home was a bank foreclosure and needs a lot of attention to be move in ready). My wife and I wanted to get advice from a professional on where to begin the restoration. Kent is very through and knowledgeable. He inspected every aspect of the home: Electrical (breaker panel, switches, plugs etc.), Appliances, HVAC, Plumbing, Foundation, Roof and Attic (including framing, insulation, duct work, and electrical connections). He even checked my onsite water well! I was very impressed. Well worth the money. I recommend him to anyone.

+ -1 moreHe arrived at 9am and worked almost the entire day and even returned the next day to test the ac units since he was unable to test them due to the weather the previous day. He let us ask questions and would give his input which we found valuable.
Description of Work: Kent did a great job with our inspection, even letting us tag along and ask questions along the way. We were very happy with the thoroughness of his report and would def. recommend him to anyone needing a trustworthy individual to conduct a home inspection. He was also very fair in his price and even decreased his final bill in the end since he was able to go through the home quicker than expected as it was a very large home. We really appreciated his honesty and will use him in the future should the need arise.

+ -1 moreIt helps to have an empty house, but that's not always possible, so try to have furniture away from walls, and electric sockets available to be tested.
Description of Work: We had to change our appointment time a couple of times due to the house closing, and Kent was very agreeable about having to change. He did a thorough job, and explained what he was doing at the time. He answered any questions I had. The report was very complete, along with pictures showing the concerns. I would recommend him to anyone wanting a home inspection.
