I honestly had no idea how much lint could build up in the dryer vents. Well, when Jacob (owner) showed me the pictures of the inside lines I was amazed at how much build up there was. When Homesafe arrived the whole experience was exactly what you want everytime you have a contractor in your home, from his professionalism to the actual work of cleaning the vents and then expalining what he did and then of course paying the bill. we have about 20 feet of dryer vent that actually runs under the home (pier and beam), why is this important, so that they can inspect the vent lines to make sure thee is no existing damage and to get an idea of how many elbows and bends the line make's toward the exit. I would have Homesafe out again because the owner knows how to do his business is the manner that we all want it done. Good work, professional, friendly and very upfront about pricing and what all was included. I would recommend this vendor to anyone that needs dryer vent cleaning and believe me everyone needs this done on a regular basis. Not only is not having it done a fire hazard, it also helps your dryer perform as it should perform.

Jacob, the owner, came out. He called before he came. He was really easy to make an appointment with. He kept the appointment and was on time. He was very thorough and explained everything. He went onto the roof and took care of the vents. He cleaned up after wards and moved the washer and dryer. He explained the different options for the vents on the roof. He took before and after pictures of the lent pipe. He sent them to me so I could see the before and after. He explained to me how dangerous it is when you don't clean your dryer vents. He was very good about explaining that to me. It is very important.

Jacob arrived at 3:45 p.m. I got an Angie's List discount. I was off that week, so they were able to squeeze me in a couple of days later. Wow, this guy is so conscientious. He was determined to make the whole thing right! He showed me the duct work I had. Showed me what I needed. He replaced the 3 in. ducting with the correct 4 inch diameter ducting. He had to not just go up in the attic, but crawl up on the roof. It did seem to take forever. I was worried his wife would be angry. He insisted on being thorough though. I do mean thorough. Wow! Jacob gave me advice along the way. But when I showed him the back of my dryer, he agreed that I wasn't in good shape. He was glad I got on Angie's List and called his company. He has the latest technology. He gives advice. And he installed this new thing. A Lint Alert. It plugs into the wall and is attached to the dryer vent. Should I get bad again, even with all the new duct work, this thing will let me know. Not only will I not burn down my house, but clogged vents causes you to use more electricity or energy to dry the clothes. Can cause you to burn up your dryer. And burn down your house. Do you want that? I am going to attach a picture of what to look for with a blocked dryer. But you can touch and find out. If it is HOT to the touch, get the vent cleaned. If you live in an apartment, immediately call the apartment manager and demand that they clean the dryer vents. I knew what to do this time because this happened when I lived in an apartment for 5 years. The dryer vent vented to the roof of 3 story apartment building. It fried my dryer and could have fried everyone in the building. I can't stress how important it is to get your dryer vent checked if it doesn't vent directly outside. If it goes through your attic, you MUST get it checked yearly. Like using a wood burning fireplace a lot and never getting that creosote cleaned. You will be playing Russian Roulette with your family's lives. Once Jacob had done everything, installed the new ductwork, put in the new Lint Alert for $79 (included in the price above), he was not done. He unscrewed some screws and next thing I knew he was cleaning the whole drum of my dryer, all the vents, everything. He said he got a lot. He won't leave your house with a speck of lint anywhere on or in your dryer. AND 10% Angie's List discount. I swear, I've been a member for years and years now. I have made up the membership fee usually on the first service. I've been impressed with many. But Jacob with Home Safe really impressed me. He is a perfectionist. Even gave me advice on my attic insulation. I felt he was an honest man doing an honest job.

Jacob did a great job. The vent had a lot of lint in it and that really surprised us. He recommended a better quality transition hose than we currently had installed. We opted to get it, so that upped the cost a bit. We were very pleased with Jacob's work and would recommend his services to anyone needing this type of maintenance. We're planning to use HomeSafe again.

It was taking a long time for clothes to dry, even after buying a High Efficiency washer and dryer. Our homeowner's insurance company had sent information on household hazards that included fires in dryers because of clogged vents. Those two things, along with an advertisement in the Angie's List magazine, prompted me to call HomeSafe. The service included taking before and after pictures of the vent. The before picture confirmed that the vent was clogged all the way to the roof. Jacob and Myles worked from the inside and the outside of the house, vacuuming and brushing the vent. The after pictures showed a shiny vent clear of lint. It now takes about half the time to dry a load of clothes than before the vent was cleaned. I highly recommend this service to anyone whose vents have not been cleaned in a few years and they are noticing long dry times.

This guy is AMAZING!!! We purchased our 14 year old home 6 years ago. We had never cleaned it, and I doubt the previous owner did, either. We had been told by a fireman that a significant percentage of home fires are caused by clogged dryer vents. I can see why. The lint that he pulled got rid of was indescribably dense.. He has custom designed his equipment and it does a super job. It took about an hour or so from A to Z. He happens to be a "nice" young man...clean cut, articulate, believable. The proof is "in the pudding." ..and he proved it to me, big time! I strongly recommend him if your dryer vent hasn't been cleaned for several years.

Provider took great pleasure in detailing what he does, and how he does it. Provides before and after pictures of the dryer vent from the outside to the inside. Takes his time and does a really nice job. Inside of dryer vent is shiny like new.

I was having drying issues with my high efficiency electric clothes dryer. Contacted an appliance repair company Randy Hunt Home Appliance Service (Angie's List). Randy suspected that the issue was probably vent related and not dryer related. Over the phone he gave me some troubleshooting things to do to confirm his suspicion. The result was that the vent was restricted. I contacted the company he suggested but they were busy and 2 weeks before they could come out. I found Homesafe Dryer Vent Cleaning on Angie's List and contacted Jacob who came out the following morning. Jacob took pictures of the interior of the vent and then began brushing and vacuuming approx. 25'of dryer vent. After completing the cleaning Jacob again took pictures to show a comparison of the before and after. The vent looked brand new inside. Jacob suggested replacing the vent on the outside of the house with a better vent to help the venting process and reduce possible obstructions. The project took approx 1 hour and they left the laundry room as clean if not cleaner than when they started. I would definitely recommend and will use again if the need arises.

Mr. Smith and his associate made the improvements without spending an excessive amount of time. Their work was exceptional. I very much appreciated Mr. Smith's honesty with regard to the ventilation system not needing to be cleaned. That level of honesty, which caused him to receive less overall money, is seldom seen in this day and age!! Further, Mr. Smith answered all questions relative to dryer vent hose upkeep, and thoroughly cleaned the areas in which he and his associate worked. I will highly recommend his company to others, and will use it the next time my system needs attention.

He was very busy with this Big Deal coupon but we had no trouble scheduling with him. We were very pleased with his work and knowledge and will get this done more regularly, since we discovered we had about 3" of our vent completely blocked near the exit.

The person doing this knows a lot about dryer vents. Before cleaning the vent he inspected everything including the vent cover on the roof. Then he took a picture of the vent prior to cleaning with his iPhone and an attachment. After the cleaning he took another picture showing the cleaned vent. There was quite a difference between the 2 pictures. A very good, professional job.

I have one of those troubling vertical vent pipes that terminates on the roof. I've been concerned about it since I purchased my home in 2007. The buildup was in worse shape that I thought. Jacob was very professional and made the whole experience wonderful. He also sold me the LintAlert device that measures the vent pressure so I can just observe its metering to decide on the timing of my next service. I highly recommend this service.

AWESOME and SO very worth it!! First off, how many people specialize in just dryer vent cleaning alone? This is Jacob's niche, so therefore I felt he would take the time and dedication to do it 110% right, which he did! I recently purchased a house in which the previous owners left the dryer vent clogged beyond reality, and the dryer that the sellers left me, literally took FOUR 80-minute cycles to completely dry one load. I then purchased a brand new dryer, which worked a little better...but I started noticing a slight burning smell. I initially hired an air duct company who turned out to be shady and didn't produce any quality results, so I turned to Angie's List. Jacob's company showed up at the top of my list results, and for good reason! I called, he actually answered his phone, provided details, and even came out later that very same evening to provide a free inspection. He also did not give me that "shady contractor" feeling either. This guy knows his stuff! He cleaned my vent out from both the roof, and the laundry room, providing pictures along the way. He was punctual, called me ahead of time, presented himself as very professional yet friendly, personable, and so down to earth. All of my questions were answered in great detail. Once he completed his work and left, I ran a load of laundry in the dryer, which finished in 28 minutes, WOW!! I would highly recommend this company in a heartbeat.

Our dryer had started producing a burning smell when we ran it. After disconnecting it from the wall, we could see that the vent was very clogged - we tried to pull out as much as we could, but arms only reach so far. We called homesafe and they were able to get us in VERY quickly. He came on time and was very professional. He cleaned out the vent in the wall, complete with before and after pictures and then he also cleaned out the vent inside the dryer. Since he left, the burning smell is gone and our dryer doesn't have to work as hard to get our clothes dry. I will definitely call them again!!

I have a three story townhome with a dryer vent that exits the roof. My dryer kept short cycling because the vents were clogged. Jacob showed up on time, took pictures of the clogged vent and sent them to me as well as a quote before the work was done. They did an excellent job. To my knowledged the vents had never been cleaned. I was concerned about it being a fire hazard. It was a time conduming process but they didnt rush through it and were very thorough. They also replaced my crushed dryer hose. I have sent my before and after pictures to so many people that I am sure Jacob is going to be VERY busy.
