HES showed up on time and the job took about 4-5 hours. First the radiant barrier was sprayed to the underside of the roof decking in the attic. The radiant barrier used is called HEAT BLOC 75 and after checking out the radiant barrier options available this seemed to be the best product available. After the radiant barrier was applied and left to dry the insulation was added. I was undecided about which type of insulation to add to a 6 inch level of rock wool. HES added 12 inches of INSULSAFE SP (actually 14 inches in some areas).
Description of Work: After checking with several companies to add attic insulation and spay radiant barrier to the attic roof decking I decided on Home Energy Savers (HES) after I spoke with Jason Spinks. This work was completed in May of 2007. The work included spraying on radiant barrier and then adding to the insulation in the attic. Jason gave me the Home Show discount when both radiant barrier and insulation are added at the same time.

The contractor who will be installing our energy efficient windows recommended Home Energy Savers. Home Energy Savers contacted us to set up an appointment for the job. They were very amenable to my schedule needs. The two technicians that did the work were very good. They communicated well, and explained everything that was going to happen. They were extremely careful to cover all items in the attic with drop cloths. They also encouraged me to cover items in the garage that were located near the ceiling access to the attic that they used.
Description of Work: Sprayed radiant barrier Heat-Bloc 75 onto underside of roof decking.
