Thom was very professional in our dealings with his company. It was a complicated job, and he bent over backwards to make sure we were totally pleased.

Everything went well. New floor looks terrific and the granite overlay makes the tub look like a drop-in tub - the way it should look. The owners of HRGT, Thom and Sue, were involved in every step of the decision making process and were very helpful in suggesting options and alternatives.

So far, we are very pleased with the service provided by Thom and Sue. They responded quickly to our requests and met all dates promised. Our installation is scheduled for next week. And based on our current experience, we are expecting to be very happy with the finished product.

My experience with Hard Rock was absolutely excellent from start to finish. I have never worked with a company that is more punctual. When selecting my granite, Thom was incredibly patient and took me to two different granite providers so that I could be sure about my choice. The installation went well and the workman were very professional. We could not be more pleased with the outcome! I am thankful to Angie's List for finding this company.

This was the first time I had ever installed granite (or any stone, for that matter) in my home. Thom at Hard Rock Granite and Tile called me the day after I emailed (through Angie's List) and we set up an appointment to come to my house and take measurements. He was very helpful and informative. I had originally wanted black soapstone for my counter tops, which he said he could work with, but after receiving the estimate, soapstone would have far exceeded my budget. Thom helped me find a type of granite which looked and felt like soapstone but at a lesser cost. Of course, this granite was not available at every granite warehouse in Dallas, but he lined up (3) which had the stone. I went to all three, and after making the selection, we revised the estimate. This was the hardest part: finding the correct stone. I selected a granite with a honed finish, which was something most buyers do not choose, and so the fabrication was slightly different than when using a granite with a shiny finish. Hard Rock stepped up to the plate and catered to my specific ideas as to the finish and installation details, and the new counter tops exceed my expectations! They look fabulous! I appreciate working with a contractor who solves problems and tries to give the customer what they want, without trying to talk them into something that is easier or more routine. Hard Rock was great with communication (my original schedule was during the horrible Dallas ice storm) and very responsive. My suggestions for a great granite install: Know what you want. Granite is expensive and cannot be "adjusted" once fabricated. Take samples of granite back to your kitchen and look at them under your lighting and at different times of the day. Granite looks very different in the granite warehouse, standing vertically, than it will laying horizontal and under your kitchen lighting. Don't assume anything. Make sure the measurements are correct, the edge treatment is what you want, and the height of your backsplash is what you want. There is no "standard" but there is "what most customers want". If this is not you, make sure you are very explicit in explaining the look you expect. if you have any other changes to make to your kitchen, like replacing the range or a sink, either do it before the granite is measured, or have exact measurements beforehand. Granite cannot be "trimmed" once installed to make room for a new range that just barely will not fit. I will be remodeling my bathrooms soon, and Hard Rock Granite and Tile will be my first call! I highly recommend them!

I'm very pleased with the work they did. From the start, when the owner came to our house with samples for us to see it was a good experience. We picked out what we wanted and then later in the week met him at the stone place to pick out our slabs. While there we met the person who would install our new backsplash and we got to pick out the stone that would be used for that. On the day of installation of the granite countertop they were prompt and did the job of removing the old countertop and installing the new one with no problems. The next day the tile man came and installed the tile backsplash. It took all day. He was meticulous and determined that it looked good when he was done. We're very pleased with the results. I have recommended them to coworkers and friends who were or are planning the same type of work.

They're very good. They're very customer service oriented. They did a super job, they're very accommodating, they meet you at the granite place to choose the granite, they stand behind their product, they have excellent crews, they do exactly what they say, they show up on time, they get the job done and they clean up all their mess. And the owners work together as a husband and wife team, they come to your home together to help you with the basic requirement to start out with, as far as the design, and then they recommend different places that you can go look at granite slabs. They have a whole list.

From the first contact with Hard Rock to project completion, everything was done according to schedule and in a very professional manner. Much assistance was provided in selecting and ordering granite and in deciding on backsplash design. All the work was done in just a few days and the finished look is excellent. We would highly recommend Hard Rock Granite for any project you need done.

Hard Rock Granite & Tile is a terrific company. They showed us samples as they had in their show room. They said if I wanted to see other samples, they’ll make an appointment and we’ll go and see for other samples of granite. We found the sample and he inspected it and took it to his shop. He took the template and laid it out on the granite. We were very happy with the service and they did a wonderful job for the installation. He has somebody that does backsplashes and they incorporated the granite into it and it’s really lovely and that’s quite different from anything we saw anywhere else. He just did a lot of extra things.

Called and requested estimate - Hard rock was a referral from the floor contractor. Appt made and owner arrived on time. Thom spent a significant amount of time with us answering our questions and never felt he was pressuring us to make decision. We had an appt for someone to do a template and Sue called us to reschedule due to an illness. The template man arrived on time for the resheduled appt. Thom met us on time at the granite store and walked us through the good and bad choices. Glad he was there to guide us and answer questions. So many choices! Install day and Sue called to let us know they were running late. Crew arrived and were polite and cleaned up after themselves.

After many years of thinking about it, and getting estimates to modernize and update the kitchen, finally did it and it was well worth the wait. Working with Thom and the professional staff at Hard Rock Granite and Tile made the process quite easy. They were very patient, informative, helpful and easy to work with. They answered my questions, addressed by concerns and I came away very pleased with the outcome. The project was done at the schedule I proposed and was completed on time with no hiccups. Everyone was very professional, courteous, prompt, knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned with their work and my approval. Never was I felt pushed or rushed into any decision. There was no hidden nor additional costs at the time of completion. I now have a beautiful kitchen and probably know more about granite and selecting granite than I ever thought I would. I would definitely recommend Thom and the crew at Hard Rock Granite to anyone seeking granite and tile.

I met with Susan at the granite site. She helped me pick out the granite to match my tile floors and wood cabinets. From the time I ordered the tile until installation any questions or concerns I had was answered promptly. I wanted to keep my tile backsplash in the kitchen. Installation was started and completed in one day. I requested that "something" be added to the kitchen countertop to enhance the appearance of the space between the granite and my existing backsplash. Tom brought a decorative sample that matched perfectly. The decorative tile piece was installed as scheduled and everything looked "fantastic". The owners and installers were very professional and resolved any issues or concerns immediately. Great customer service throughout the process. I would highly recommend Hard Rock Granite and Tile.
