Matt explained in order for faster hot water i would need a dedicated line to kitchen. I figured as much, but needed to have unit flushed as it had done been done for a few years. Matt showed me how to do it in the future. Matt also took time to see about increasing temperature to 130 from 120, was unable too.

Toilet still running and replaced good handle in guest bath with cheap one when replacing the mechanism. Will never allow them back in my home!!!

I requested a quote through Angie's List and not even 30 minutes went by before the receptionist called me. A technician named Greg came out within an hour. He gave me 2 routes to go - either replace the heater itself or replace the temp panels. The latter might've given me an extra year or two on a 9 year old heater. But, at any rate, I was pleased with his honesty and options that were given. I had previously had another company come out that is contracted through our home owners policy. The technician that came out talked in depth with me about what needed to be done, only to leave and add on $636.00 out of pocket "necessary" work to be done. I asked Greg if I needed all those things done that this other company said needed to be done and Greg said no. I knew I was being taken by this first guy. I really appreciated Greg telling me what the issue was and he wrote up a detailed proposal right then and there. Two days later, the receptionist called me for a follow-up to see how things went, which I thought was very professional and displayed good customer service. In the end, we decided to go with another company. It really came down to Ernie's and this other company from Angie's List (not the one from the home owners policy) - it was a toss-up. Both gave us similar prices and used highly rated water heaters. Both had great customer service. The other company happen to have the heater I needed on his truck so it was a matter of convenience & coordinating with my day off. I wouldn't hesitate to call Ernie's again for another job. It's a great company. A+ from me.

Excellent! The plumbers(Thomas and Justin) truly worked diligently all day to find the leak, crawling in and out from under the house. They were determined to find the leak(they did). They were truly professional every step of the way, assuring me they would find the problem. If I had to rate them, I would give them 10+. Definitely would use Ernie Plumbing again and will recommend them to my friends and co-worker.

They replace old one and it is working fine now

I was given a 30-45 minute window for the technician's arrival yet they arrived 8 minutes after I hung up with their dispatch and given this window; some may see this as great but it obviously makes things difficult to plan around. I was quoted nearly 200% in labor when I was only willing to pay up to 100% added labor costs; I've never seen such an incredible markup. The technician also gave us some incorrect information, at least according to section 504.7 of the international plumbing code (IPC). Summary of it is, the technician tried telling us something was 'out-of-code' when according to the IPC, it wasn't, according to the initial inspection when it was installed, it wasn't, and according to the home inspection when we purchased the property, it wasn't. But maybe the world is crazy and the technician is right...maybe I should have paid the extra money to get it 'in-code' - how silly of me.

The work itself OK, but reason to replace or fix not explained. Had to call 3-4 times to request info to be sent to ins. Technician who did work was let go, no attempt by management to explain 700-800 charge for labor.

Craig was very professional and a fast worker but yet took the time to explain what the issues were. Will use them again.

I rate Ernie's Plumbing as a 5 star A+ company. First is to say that Ernie s Plumbing and the people they employ are the best & most efficient I have witnessed in a very long time and secondly is to especially thank Josh & his helper Robert, and the tunnel teams that came out to repair our extensive plumbing problems. The office would call each morning at 7:30 to in form us that Josh was on his way. All of the crews that came out were exceptionally prompt, courteous, informative and very hard working. I had a severe plumbing problem at my 58 year old home. Josh and Robert first ran a plumbing snake down the pipe and retrieved a large clump of roots. Next they sent a camera down to see what problems existed, and as it turned out there were many. The only real fix was to completely replumb the entire house. The total job took 8 days to complete and I am very pleased with the work. Josh & Robert worked every day all day without a break except for lunch and the tunnel teams did the same. They had to dig a 60' trench 4' deep and 1' wide, a 4'x4'x4' hole to get under the house and an 8'x10' tunnel 4'x4' wide and a large hole to dig under my rear patio to run the sewer line. This was very hard work and they never slowed down. The weather was cold, wet, and 3 days below freezing in the mornings. These men were 5 star workers. Thanks for all of your hard work.

OK. They came very quickly. They detected a good patch of wet carpet pad and floor. found the leak quickly and fixed it. But in peeling the carpet back, they got in a hurry and tore a seam apart rather than cutting it. That added to my restoration expense - a carpet re-stretch and repair that was probably unnecessary.

Ernie's is great and got Chuck out within 2 hours! He got the gas control valve covered under the manufacturer warranty by calling them and dealing with the red tape to get them to replace it for free (a $225 value for the part cost). I only had to pay $250 for the labor of the part replacement installation. Chuck went to three locations to find the part I needed and got the manufacturer to cover it without me needing to pay for it and then chase them for reimbursement later. After getting the part he had it installed within 30 mins and the hot water tank was running like new. Ask for Chuck, he does great work and will try to get your part covered under warranty if possible!

Excellent Technician named Craig assessed my drain lines from the kitchen sink and washer. Craig quickly identified where the clog was located and snaked the entire line. Great job of cleaning up when job was completed. I even got a discount for being Angie's list member. I will rehire for future plumbing needs.

Went as expected, we have used Ernies in the past.

Called Ernie's and they had their tech come out within two hours. Explained the situation to David, slow draining and concern about a cracked pipe due to an earlier line snaking where some red sand/dirt was pulled out. David evaluated our concerns, gave us the price for the line check/cleaning and was done within 25 minutes. All was well with the pipe itself and he cleaned the drain so it flows much faster now.

Gary was our plumber and he did a wonderful job. He was very professional and quick. He had re-piped the mess under our sink within an hour! And the price was extremely reasonable. We will definitely be using Ernie's from now on - and hopefully Gary.

After instalking néw hvac...I wanted to get a new water heater as well. Both were older than 13 years and I made the choice to get a new water heater.

The Plumber went into my attic and turned off my tankless water heater without telling me and he was only visually checking my gas pipes and had no reason to touch my water heater. He then offered me a service contract for anything that went wrong with my plumbing. I told him no I didn't need it now, The moral to this is he wanted me to call them due to my tankless water heater not working. I will never call Ernies Plumbing again. I don't like crooks or Liers.

While the plumber was nice, their prices were absolutely outrageous. They charged $350 per faucet to install a regular new faucet (that we were providing) with no problematic issues; $75 to change a shut off valve - 4 were changed and done in less than 30 minutes. He also charged $50 to turn a shower pipe and was not able to install the new one. Absolutely do not recommend.

They did not charge for an estimate or to come out. They gave me a flat rate when everyone else was charging extremely too much, he did a great job and gave me a warranty. I will recommend them and they will be my plumber for as long as I live in this house. I will not use anyone else.

The entire process went very well. The plumbers were friendly and professional, answered all of my questions, and removed all of the debris. There were no additional charges to the original estimate. The city inspected the job and passed the work. I'd definitely use this company again.

Didn't even look at the pipes they said needed to be replaced. When questioned about there estimate being higher than others they just stated "That is what it may cost" and it may be MORE if they discover more work in the process. Given that they took such a short time and barely looked at their pipes that needed to be replaced I decided not to use them for the work.

Everything went well. I was impressed by Ernie’s dispatchers, who kept me updated when the scheduled plumber got bogged down and swapped in another. The workmanship was quick and fairly priced.
