Terrible. I called and requested Gary to come out and install two more toilets at my home. I had specific time and day needs and that is where the problem occurred. First, they were unable to schedule between 3 or 4 and 6PM....their smallest window is 4 hours, or 2 to 6PM. The scheduler was willing to put a note on the request asking for after 3:30PM, but couldn't promise it would be respected. Then the real problem, "the phone call!". Ernie's will call your home number 30-45 minutes before the plumber arrives to confirm and will cancel your appointment if you don't answer. I tried to explain that we couldn't do that, because we would both be out of the house until about 3:15 on the day in question. I then asked to speak to a supervisor, and the scheduler put me on hold and then told me the supervisor confirmed what she had said, that if we didn't answer the phone call, the appointment would be cancelled, even though I had explained we couldn't do that. I am compelled to seek another plumber, sorry Gary!

2 years ago they did extensive plumbing service for me, part of that was to relocate my water lines to the attic. There was problems resulting from this, so they came out immediately when I called them. They worked 1 whole day + and added extra insulation and necessary equipment to solve the problem. They did this at absolutely no cost to me, not even for a service call or service repairs. I found that most unusual, because most will charge for at least the service call. They were very apologetic, concerned, and outgoing. I was very thankful and I appreciated their courtesy.

They did excellent work. Jerry was courteous, professional and did a great job.

Horribly no knowledge of customer service and could care less.

They were readily available to do the work, they kept the house clean while they worked, and the plumber was friendly as well as knowledgeable. Ultimately, it was a good experience.

I started out with one toilet that would not stop running and another that would occasionally run. I was going to replace the fill valve on those two toilets. I found that I could not make a leak free connection of the fill valve to the supply line. I called Ernie's Plumbing in the morning and was surprised to hear that they could have someone out that afternoon. After looking at my mess, the plumber explained that they will not work on these one piece supply lines for this very reason. He replaces the supply lines on all three of our toilets and installed new fill valve and stopper on two of them. (He was able to use the fill valve and stopper I had attempted to install on the third toilet.) The plumber was very professional and had the job done that evening, even though this was a late afternoon appointment. The job was completed around 7:30 PM.

They were great to work with. Professional and timely. The price was very fair. The pipe was inside a wall so they had to break that out to access the leak. They did not charge any travel fee either.

We moved back into our house after renovations on October 31. We immediately experienced plumbing problems of backed up toilets, shower and tub. The new wood floors began to buckle. I wanted to call a company that used cameras so we could pinpoint the leak(s). C said we had a very bad leak and gave us a quote to repair it ranging from $2400 - $4900. This did not include repairing the new floors, walls, or ceilings. I called the company the next week to receive a copy of the report to present to our insurance company. I was told that they didn't have one and they would come out again and give us one. I thought they would perform the test without charge since they had not offered us a copy of the video they took the first time. D came out and videoed the sewer lines again. He took several videos which he downloaded for us. He did not find the same problems that C found but he left us with 6 videos of our pipes. On his report he stated that his camera was unable to pass through the clean out. Not sure why he wrote that. Then he charged us $300. He suggested that we contact Randy to see if he would refund us the second charge. We had two independent companies review the video after Ernie's employees indicated we had leaks. Both companies found no evidence of under slab leaks or sewer pipe leaks. Both companies repair under slab leaks but indicated there was no leak to repair. I am sure that this review will not hurt Ernie's stellar reputation it has on Angie's list but if it saves one customer the dissatisfaction of pouring their money down a drain then I will feel better about the $700 I lost..

First visit was fine. Work was performed as necessary. Happy to pay. Asked for the same man on second visit on June 23. Faucets in master bathtub would not turn off the water. Had a steady stream leak with both faucets and shower control. Plumber said the new washers my husband had installed would eventually seat themselves. Did not take the faucets off and check anything. Leaks continued until I hired another plumber in December. Washers were not at fault. Some kind of gasket (?) was cracked, allowing water through. Leak is now fixed. Would not use Ernie's nor recommend Ernie's.

The jobs were completed over a few different appointments. One of the faucets they installed had somehow broken around five months later. When I called them about it, they came back and replaced it at no cost. One of the plumbers had accidentally taken one of my faucets and he was willing to return it. During the installation of the pressure valve, there was a rainstorm. The technician was willing to complete the job even though it was storming. He truly went above and beyond. Overall, they did a very good job.

Had to have this work done prior to selling my house. I was on a tight deadline and they came right out and got the work done quickly and at a fair price.

Advised on alternatives, took care of problem in professional manner.

They came out in a reasonable time and he unstopped the toilet. I asked him to fix the flushing mechanism because it runs. He flushed it and said it was fine.

Don't be fooled by all of the A grades this contractor has. Twenty four hours ago I may have given them A grades also. But not now. You have heard of customer loyalty...know that the other side contractor loyalty is non existent at Ernie's. We have been customers for many years. Spent a lot of money. Have always been pleased. However yesterday December 23 I discovered a leak under my sink. Calling Ernies I was told there was no one available until the next day. Talked with Randy the General Manager. He confirmed. He was apologetic and told me all his plumbers were on other jobs. He said everyone wanted things fixed before Christmas. I wanted my house not to flood. Some emergencies have nothing to do with Christmas! Ironically, each time I was put on hold, I listened to a commercial that says "have a plumbing emergency? You have come to the right place". I asked Randy to come himself. Yes, he is a master plumber...he said he has a business to run. He scheduled me for the next morning. And offered the service for free. Free is hardly attractive when you are watching water run from your cabinets. Bottom line? Called his competitor, Levy Brothers. They had someone here within the hour and my problem was fixed. My years of customer loyalty meant nothing to Ernie's in an emergency situation. It meant everything to the competitor, who now has a new customer. Oh, and just as a side note, last December 26 the expansion tank blew off my water heater...flooding my house. Thank God we were home. I called Ernie's as I watched water run down my hallway at a rapid rate. There was NO answer....no answer at a 24-hour Ernie's! Later I spoke with Randy and he told me their phones were out during Christmas. How convenient. They are no longer 24 hour...maybe never were. And they did not let customers know this...I only found out when I called at 6 am today to tell them not to come. I gave them another chance after last Christmas, and Randy knew that. Still did not matter. Use them at your own risk. The service will be good and the pricing competitive....at least once...and maybe only once.

minor repairs to our water heater. Very good service and would recommend to anyone. We will be happy to use in the future.

They were very professional and cleaned up well after themselves. They gave me an estimate that I thought was very fair.

Ernie's plumbing was able to come out to my home same day after my water heater failed and leaked into my home. We decided that the water heater needed to be replaced. The quote was for $1550, which sounded high to me, but the technician needed to rework the gas supply and seemed to have reasons for the high cost. The work was scheduled for the following day, which was a Saturday. Being close to the holidays, I had to leave the technician to work alone so I could do errands. The work took approximately 3/4 of a day. I was told that my city had to inspect the work, and we discussed two possible dates, then settled on 12-16. The city does not make appointments, so you have take an entire day off of work. The technician worked alone, and since I wasn't there during the work, I wondered but didn't see how he managed to remove the old water heater and install the new one all by himself. After he left, the damage to my concrete floors and awful mess he left behind made it apparent that there should be at least two people on the job. There were long screws left on my hallway floor where I frequently walk barefoot, and also left in my garage where I park my car. Fortunately I found and picked them up before they caused any damage. There were rusty dirty foot prints across my carpet where the technician had walked through the water from the old leaky unit, then across the floor. No plastic or any sort of protection for the floors was used. The worst part of my experience was the inspection, or thereof. Fearing having taken a day off only to not have the city show up for the inspection, I called Ernie's at 8:30 am on 12-16 to make sure that the inspector had been scheduled. To make a long story short, it had not, and there was "nothing they could do". While on hold for an extended period, I was forced to listen to a repetitious mantra about how customer satisfaction was Ernie's #1 priority. I pointed this out to the representative when she returned, and stated that I was, in fact, very unsatisfied and in wanted to know what they were going to do to make it right because I could not take another day off of work for the inspection. No remedy was offered, other than to set up an appointment with the city for which I'd have to miss work again. Basically, they were sorry, but too bad for me, Ernie's wasn't going to do anything (my words). At this point I stated that I would never use Ernie's again, and the response was "that's fine" (this is a direct quote). Ernie's says that customer satisfaction is their #1 priority, but those are just words. If you value your time and a company that doesn't leave you high and dry when they screw up, find another plumber.

My husband replaced a shower faucet which sprung a leak when turned on at my parents' place. We signed up for Angie's List a few days ago and contacted Ernie's Plumbing through them for an estimate to replace the shower valve/faucet based on their high ratings. My husband (a contractor) had already cut a 14 x 14 hole in the back of the wall so the plumber would have easy access to the plumbing. The appointment set up was easy, the estimator came on time, the estimate was free, and no charges for the estimator's time so those are all of the positives and for that reason, we would not give an overall low rating. My husband was not here when the estimator came to the house but the estimator gave me a quote of $450. I immediately put my husband on the phone and he asked the estimator how long it would take to repair. My husband also asked him why the rate was high. The estimator said 1.5 to 2 hours but was not able to explain the work involved to justify the price. This does not sound in line with the reviews we read about this company. We were very disappointed and struggled with whether to write this review being sympathetic to having to deal with unreasonable customer demands. We completely understand plumbers' prices but this seemed overpriced for the work required. The estimator told my husband he understood his concerns but that was all he could do.

Plumber went above and beyond the call of duty. Gave us a better quality connection than we had before.

Great job. Called mid morning, got an afternoon appointment. Arrived at agreed time . Very professional and efficient. Will use again.

Had them replace 3 toilet shutoff valves that were really old. Pete showed up on time and gave me a quote for the work. He got to work and within an hour had all three replaced with new metal valves. This is the second time I've used them and have been happy with the service both times. Keep it up guys!

They said they'd be there at 3:00 and the plumber was there at 3:00. He diagnosed it and fixed everything in about 2 hours. It was quick and efficient. I have had plumbers charge me $250 for the snake alone.

The toilet flooded, they had to come clean the lines.

They were very professional, came out around midnight, came rather quickly, added all new line.

He had to drive out to get the part for the shower and put in and he didn't put it right and my shower only worked half way and when he came back and put it in properly it has full travel.
