I'd give them straight A's all the way across. I did my homework as far as pricing and things like that and I do remember that they were in line with our general pricing and we were more than happy with their service, with their professionalism and everything.

I had originally sent an email on Tuesday afternoon to get an estimate (they provide free estimates). I barely closed my computer & I received a call from the company ready to schedule an estimate. Archie came out the first thing the next morning (the office even called to let me know he had left). The estimate was reasonable & Archie did a great job getting our sink back together in a timely manner. Next time we need a plumber, I'll definitely call Ernie's Plumbing again and request Archie.

Craig was a very experienced, and knowledgeable plumber, he answered our many questions, found errors in our home inspectors report, and gave options for solving problems. He worked hard, squeezing into the tight crawlspace under our house, and was tidy. Craig made many repairs, pulled a couple of toilets, replaced a water heater, scheduled the city inspection, and gave additional information to help us save money!

I had a flood in my upstairs bathroom because a drain was clogged. The HVAC condensation line ran into the same drain which is where the water came from. Jeff (#496) the technician was great. He arrived the same day I called and explained exactly what had happened. He cleared out all of the drains I asked him to and tightened the faucets on the Jacuzzi tub. Jeff was excellent, answered all of my questions, took his time, is professional and represents Ernie's Plumbing Service very well. This was the first time I have used Ernie's and because I am a little late in writing this review I have used them a second time this morning unrelated to the above mentioned (Pilot Light) which I reviewed separately. I will continue to use Ernie's for all of my future needs!

It was fantastic. They were courteous. Their pricing was good. We negotiated the price. The work was spectacular.

Install went fabulous. Work was done professionally and relatively quick. I had an ice-maker install kit (copper tubing, etc.), but they provided me with a stainless steel hose set for a decent price. I thought the overall price was a bit steep, but the work was definitely tip-top. Would more than likely hire Ernie's again. Overall, a good experience.

The guy did such a great job, with no hesitation, everything was cleaned, all picked up. He was a lifesaver for me.

I called Ernie's early Saturday morning reporting a sewer blockage between my house and the street. I was told that the plumber would be out between 10 AM and 2 PM that day. The plumber arrived at 4:40 PM with an estimate of $213.00 to run a snake through 30 feet of sewer from my house to the street. Not much choice since it would probably be Monday before I could get anyone else out to the house! In my past dealing with plumbers, the cost charged has always been (1) a Fixed Cost for coming to my house and providing a "free estimate", (2) resulting (actual per hour) Labor Charge plus Cost Of Parts. With Ernie's, I was immediately handed a written estimate of $213.00 (to snake 30 ft of sewer) specifying that any labor time over 1 hour would be an additional $145/hour. It took the plumber 10 minutes to complete the task so that the actual labor rate that I paid was $1278.00 per hour which I knowingly had agreed to. My above Overall Rating of Ernie's Plumbing Service is a B since it only appears that the plumber's 4:40 PM, late arrival was staged to force me into accepting a ridiculous contract.

Based on the reviews in Angie's list , I called them to get an estimate to replace my 50 gal water heater. Gary from the plumbing company came on time. He gave me an estimate of $2670 to replace one 50 gal water heater. I was shocked and thought they may not be interested in business. Then I called another plumbing company from Angie's list and got a quote of $1300.

Our garbage disposal developed hairline cracks over the years (over 12 years old). I fixed previous ones with "Waterweld" and it worked amazingly well. The new crack was longer and was very close to the disposal pipe. So instead of fixing it again, I decided to replace it. Usually I would have attempted to do this myself but since the disposal was old, there was lot of gunk around pipes and I didn't want to risk it. So I had Ernies give me an estimate on May 21st. They have always provided reasonable quotes and fast response time. I also wanted them to recaulk the kitchen sink and replace the caulk with a black one. We were quoted $190 for the whole job (our disposal and caulk) by Doug. I had the job scheduled for next day. On the day of job, I decided to install a bidet in one of the toilets as well. Doug came to our home first thing in the morning. I mentioned the bidet to him and he said that would be another $125. I was OK with the price and asked him to do it. Our total before any discounts of $325. Doug was very clean in his work. He replaced the disposal in no-time. I would have spent hours doing it. The bidet took some time because the supply valve had to be replaced too. Again he was very clean and courteous throughout. Caulking was done to our satisfaction to make sure it looked good and sleek. All work was done in a timely manner. We also have leak in the faucet. I thought if it was just the O-ring I can have him replace it. However, he suggested that it might be easer to replace the faucet as it is old. So we decided to do this some other time after we had some time to look at faucet choices. I would definitely recommend Ernie's and Doug for a professional experience. Their prices are very reasonable. Since estimates are free, you can always choose another plumber if you find the prices high. We will continue to use them as long as their service and pricing doesn't change.

The plumber did a great job, he was very polite and friendly. He is assigned to the Rockwall area. I had called other plumbers for a price quote and two others wanted $850 to $950 for the job.

Doug came out. He was punctual. He was clean. He gave me an estimate and I told him to go for it. It seemed fair to me. He delivered. I will hire Ernie's again.

I called Ernie's plumbing for an estimate today and they not only were able to see me the same day, but in just a few hours. The technician arrived on time. I appreciated that he wore shoe covers. We decided to have Ernie's do the work and it was done quickly and he cleaned up the area. I will use them in the future and would recommend them.

He Came, looked,quoted price and desribed what may or may not happen that could change that quote. Matt is highly recommended.

Let me start by saying we have used Ernie's Plumbing in the past. For a large company they give personalized service. "Fred" has been our plumber the past couple of times we needed them. After explaining our budget for the new commode, Fred made the purchase fr us, removed our old toilet (with not 1 drop of water anywhere) and installed the new one. While at our home, I mentioned that we were thinking about getting a tank-less water heater installed. Fred asked if I could show him where the existing water heater was so he could take a look at it. (Most plumbers would have asked me to call their office to get an estimate for the other job) I showed Fred to the garage. As soon as he opened the closet in the garage, he asked me if I smelled that? I said I thought it was from my car. He said it was carbon monoxide and pointed to the vent, that wasn't hooked up. I was speechless. Apparently, when we had our current water heater installed a year or so ago, the vent wasn't properly hooked up. :( Fred hooked up the vent properly and suggested we install a carbon monoxide monitor outside of the closet. (Something Ernie's does!!) Oh, and he said we have a good water heater in there now and to wait a few years!! How's that for no hard sell?! If you need any plumbing repairs, CALL Ernie's!!! Bryan arrived early, went straight to work, cleared the line and was professional and friendly. I will ask for him again, he really knows his trade and is very customer oriented.

We had already located the area of the leak and pulled the damp drywall to expose the work area. The serviceman, Fred, was prompt and friendly, although the smell of cigarettes was overpowering (which is very sickening to me). He identified the problem as a common builder oops (the holes drilled in the studs for the pipe to travel were poorly positioned and didn't allow for the pipe to be fully protected from the metal stud cover that prevents nails from hitting the pipes during sheetrocking, so the metal plate was touching the copper pipe, causing the pipe to corrode). Fred was equipped to handle the repair immediately and efficiently.

I ask him to fix the commode because it was lacking and he didn't say he is going to fix it, he said he will rebuild it. He was also gong install the faucet as well. I got them fixed for $10 fix. I was not paying $1000 for someone who was tying to cheat me. Basically it was a test, I wanted to test somebody because they kept sending post but they failed. They came when they said they would.

Water heater in easy access garage location was leaking. Due to age (11 yrs), we wanted to go ahead and replace-its gas so wanted it done by professional and brought up to code. Ernie's could work me in quickly and with a free estimate- so I left work early went by the 2 big box stores took pictures of water heaters-and researched brands and differences for the next 4.5 hrs waiting on the plumber. I knew that new energy requirements would go into effect in about 3 weeks and expected to be given a choice of 2 or 3 models. End of work day employee, Terry R, arrived, assessed it, wrote up an estimate with very little detail. $1260.96 + $650 to bring up to code. I asked about the water heater itself-what brand and models did he have for me to choose from-he was astounded I would even ask and did not know nor seem to understand what or why I was asking. He did give me a brand name, which does not have a good online reputation which doesn't mean they are all bad but I would like to know the exact model and features, I mentioned the new requirements that would soon go into effect and what would the difference be, he had no idea-He then said if I bought my own water heater it would be $950 + code $650 and left. I then called the office to see if they could give me a model number that the company uses and she said only the plumber could and she would ask him to call me with more detail. He never called. Note there was a current coupon for the same brand 50 gal water heater installed for $999- also the going rate for a plumber is $120 an hour-replacement of an easy access water heater is about 3 hrs, over $300 an hr is outrageous and obviously they did not want my business. I was furious that I was treated like the stupid little housewife -however now I also blame consumers since after talking with more plumbers-customers actually wanting to know what they are getting for almost 2 grand is evidently unusual.

They were great. I needed the service done immediately and they were able to get the job done the same day.

Great job. They fixed flang, removed roots,and cemented the hole surrounding pipes, along interlacing wax ring. They cleaned up afterwards and did a great job.

There was a possible gas leak from the fire place in the home. I narrowed my choice down to this one and another company. The website could use an update to something more professional. In the end I choose Ernie's because of the amounts of reviews and the % that were A. First off, the office was kind enough to work with me for an appointment. I guess they do blocks of time, our block was 2-6, but we wouldn't be able to get there till 4pm. So they left a note for the dispatch and they called 45 minutes ahead and Neal showed up right at time. So I liked that he was right when the dispatch said he would be, so I didn't have to wait. At first impression, Neal did not inspire any confidence. He just kind of stood there, I wasn't sure if he was thinking about the issue or what. He thought there was a leak and we wanted to also check the whole pipeline. Considering the time concern we decided to go ahead and use the service after the estimate. As Neal worked we felt better as he definitely showed his expertise. He even pointed out a valve that needed to be replaced because it was leaking at the furnace. He was kind enough to get a replacement at cost, since he didn't have a part in the truck. All in all Neal was a good serviceman, and I would consider using this company again. I think in his pensive mode, he could have talked more or at least let us know what he was thinking. It could have been a long day that day, who knows so I'll give the benefit of the doubt. He was friendly and helpful.
