Damien was very courteous and nice. He diagnosed the main problem (leaky toilet in master) and fixed it. The upcharge for the parts is ridiculous. I have no problem paying labor (everyone needs to feed their families) but Ernie's upcharge is horrible. If I decide to use Ernie's again, I will buy the parts myself (if I can figure out what is needed).

My neighbor recommended Ernie's. One of our toilets had been running and since we have two bathrooms, I didn't need same day service but was pleasantly surprised to find they could get somebody out the next day. I was put on the 1 to 5 schedule but got a call that morning that somebody had cancelled and they could send a technician out in the morning. While working on the toilet we mentioned the bathroom faucet and that was fixed too for a very reasonable fee.

I contacted the company to come out and provide an estimate to have the leak under my house repaired. My appointment was at 2:00pm and the guy showed up at 10:00am without any notice. He came into the house and never went under the house to look at the leak and quoted me a price of over eight hundred dollars. The company I did end of hiring to fix the leak had a price of half of what I was quoted from Ernie's.

When the plumber arrived, I showed him what needed to be done, and he looked around. Then he gave me a "Worst Case Scenario" estimate and guessed it would be much less, but had to give me the highest it "might" be. I trusted him and his experience, and that he didn't think the job would be anywhere near as high as the estimate, so I signed the work order. It was one plumber for a full day, and at noon, he brought in a helper, which made the final cost $375.00/hr for the two plumbers to put in roughly 12 hours. I was then charged for a new water heater, but "at cost"...yeah, right! Now, the cost went from $4500 to $4800 and I ended up with a cheaper water heater than the house had before. It is a pier and beam house, and it has more room under the house than most, so it is easy to crawl around under, so it shouldn't have taken them as long as it did, and I should have never had to buy a new water heater when they broke it! I had tenants living there, so I was not wanting to inconvenience them, and Ernie's Plumbing, and the plumbers they employ, are SLICK! They knew I was desperate to get the water back on, and they were intent on taking advantage of a customer! When I see all the glowing reviews, I wonder if they are all written by people who work for, or know the owners. Stay away from these crooks!!! They pay for a huge ad with Angie, which ups their grade with this site.

Receptionist are polite and informative. Damian was experienced and efficient. He quickly diagnosed all issues and quoted me what needed to be done. He even told me what to expect for the future. i would definitely recommend this company

We called about a stopped up bathroom sink drain. The house is an older home, and we'd been dealing with slow drain for some time. We requested someone come out as soon as possible. The company responded immediately and Josh arrived within an hour. He was very professional and took time to explain to us what he was doing and why, and also gave advice regarding how to reduce the possibility of clogs, etc. in the future. He was very helpful and hard-working. He checked and cleaned the trap, but the drain still was slow. Further investigation found a major buildup in the pipes beyond the trap, and he got it cleared with a machine which used high water pressure. He also went over the charges carefully with us and worked with us to get the most cost-effective solution. He also checked a toilet that had been running, replaced parts that were broken and replaced sink parts as well. We are very satisfied with the service, and the work that he did. Highly recommended!

I called in the morning and they were able to send a technician within 2 hours. He was pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional. He was persistent in his efforts to solve my plumbing problem in the most cost-effective way and respectful in keeping my home clean. Moreover, he answered my questions and spent time to inform me about how to maintain and improve my plumbing system. Contingent on a competitive estimate, I will hire this company again for other work.

So this is the second time I've tried to use Ernie's Plumbing. The first time was well over a year ago. They won't give you a quote over the phone, which is fine, but when they were here the first time their quote was double what I was provided over the phone by other services. I told them no thanks because I had been quoted half their price. The technician excused himself and made a call. After his call he agreed to do the work for the quoted price. You know their not going to do the work without making a profit which therefore means their original intent was to gouge me. So today they came out to give me a quote on a stopped up kitchen sink. Not rocket science and I knew what had caused the problem and the simple solution is to run a snake through the line. I had made a few calls prior to their arrival and the most expensive quote I got from their competition was $129.00. So once again they were going to gouge me for a simple task. The technicians in both instances were polite and professional. My issue is the apparent business practice of raping the customer when possible. Really bad business practice and as a result I will be using someone else for this job and for future jobs. So as in all cases with all businesses. It's buyer beware. I guess in Ernie's case it's more about the quick hit than building a customer base.

They claim that they would do free estimate, but basically the free estimate means they do NOTHING at all! Of course that would be free. They just come to ask you pay them for anything they do. Don't bother.

I was very satisfied with this company. Joe is very knowledgeable and I would definitely use them again.

When I made the appointment, they said that the technician would be here between 10 & 2. Around 8:45 Earnie's dispatch called to say they'd had a cancellation and that the technician could be here in 45 minutes if it was OK with us. Donald arrived exactly 45 minutes later. He was very polite and professional. He gave us a quote prior to beginning any work and acknowledged that we could use our Angie's List coupon. He quickly cleared the drain and completed the inspection. He provided a verbal report of the inspection. We will use Earnie's again and would request Donald as our technician.

Had an appointment for 10-2, showed up at 3:30. Had to go to Home Depot for parts. Corrected the problem first time after getting the parts. Left area clean and ready for operation.

Michael explained his process, provided an estimate, and attended to the remedies in an expeditious and professional manner. Yes, we will use Ernie's again and will refer them to others.

We had water damage in a wall and couldn't tell where the water was coming from. Fred found the leak inside of ten minutes (a joint in a pipe that had come unsealed) and repaired it just as quickly. A happy plumbing story!

I thought I would have to get a new water heater. Had no hot water for a few days and current water heater is 12 yrs old. Bryan from Ernies Plumbing cleaned it out and put in a new T-stat. I have hot water again. Got good repairs, a fair price and excellent service!

When I called Ernie's plumbing, they sent someone within two hours of the time I called. It was great to have someone come so quickly. The company called to let me know of a brief delay and then, only a few minutes later, to let me know that the serviceman, Greg, was on his way. Greg was courteous and professional. He was able to fix my problem and give advice and suggestions for how to keep this from happening again. He left the work area clean, something that many different companies who have worked in my house at other times have not done. This was a very positive experience and I would use Ernie's Plumbing again.

We had a supply line break in one of our bathrooms. Shawn, with Ernie's Plumbing, came out within 3 hours of our call, as promised, and completed the repairs in less than 10 minutes. We were very happy with the repair and the service we received!

What bothers me about this vendor is that I had no line item detial about hte costs, I told them about the angie's list coupon but don't think it was taken out of the cost. And then I got wild stories about how much other services would cost in order to make the $285 charge seem fair. As most people on here do their research, i knew the part was $20 and the service should have been about $100. But as always with work being busy and my 2nd baby just born, I had no time to deal with this repair. Scheduling was straightforward and she took my coupon info. Person was on time, but worked with my wife. I always get scared when that happens as I fear they will swindle her. Which I think they did as there was no justification for the cost other than the repair person coming up with 3 digits magically in his head. Long and short of this review, would I tell my wife or mom or any of my friends to use them? No.

The plumber was able to quickly clear our drain stoppage, which was caused by drainage from the AC unit. I was able to get an appointment on the same day I called, which was great, since the drain stoppage could have caused an overflow. The plumber quickly diagnosed the problem and took care of it within 30 minutes. The plumber also provided some tips on preventing such a stoppage in the future. I appreciated the fast and courteous service.

Ernie's Plumbing (Fred) showed up for the appoint exactly on time. He was very knowledgeable and temporarily stopped the leak that evening. The next day he came back and performed a permanent repair. He applied the discount for using Angie's list. I would recommend them and I will use them again. Thanks Ernie's!

The repairs were completed within a few hours. Although, I had been warned that it may be necessary to move shrubbery, none was moved. Only a few decorative items had to be moved, and they were easily replaced.

Awesome customer service. Took 10 minutes and he was on his way. He answered every question we had to prevent it from happening again. He also removed all the standing water!!

Donald was the plumber who came out. He was very professional and courteous. I would definitely use the company again.

We had a big leak dripping out of the water heater, and it was a disaster. Ernie's sent Joey Polk, who is amazing! He replaced the piping to fix the big leak, put a floodstop device on the water heater to prevent further water problems, fixed the loose toilet, and put all new stops on the kitchen sink. It so happens that we had a new dishwasher being delivered that same day he did the repairs, and had Joey not fixed the stops and corrosion below the kitchen sink, our new dishwasher would have been destroyed just like the last one!!! He both fixed our plumbing problems and prevented future ones. For that, we are grateful. I'm using Ernie's from now on when I have a plumbing need.
