Description of Work: Came out to fix a leaky faucet. Did a great job though the man came out a couple hours later than expected (but they did call to let me know). Overall very pleased with the company and will definitely call them again.

Description of Work: Slab leak was discovered, diagnosed and dealt with within a day. John was very professional and did a great job in repairing a potentially bigger problem. Everything looked great when he was finished, cleaned up and throughly explained everything he did and made sure we were completely satisfied with the results.

Description of Work: I was very satisfied with their work and punctuality. They were very freindly and easy to speak with. The work they did was very well done at a fair price. I will hire them again. They replaced a outside faucet that was buried in my brick.

Description of Work: Leak under sink. He replaced valve and rerouted water. He did all the work for $238.00 but originally quoted over $400.00 for all of it. He gave me an estimate of $900 to install new sink with me supplying the sink and parts. Someone else did the same work for less than $100.00.

Description of Work: Called Ernie's on a Saturday for a shower/tub converter faucet handle that never worked right. Their plumber, Greg came out a few hours later. Greg quickly advised the converter value was likely over heated when it was originally installed, and this is why the handle never worked properly. He recognized the faucet part was foreign made and would need to be ordered. Since I had the original faucet brochure, he was able to advise me on how to order the part. He advised they could have researched and ordered it (if I didn't have the brochure), but recommended I could save $$$ by doing it myself. He put everything back the way it was befofe he left. The work area was clean. He did not charge me anything on the first visit, he simple said to call him when the part came in. Wow! I was impressed! A week later the part came in. I called Ernie's and they rescheduled Greg to come back over to complete the job. The shower works great! I should have called Ernie's/Greg along time ago! :)

Description of Work: The one thousand dollars was for leak detection only. Upon arrival I told the plumber where the flood had occurred, and the pipes in that area should have been the first place he tried to look but instead it was the last placed he looked and exactly where he needed to look. At 200.00 an hour he waited until I was at 800 dolars before looking where he should have looked first. He insisited that I needed a new shut off valve for my water heater because he wouldn't be able to detect anything without it. That was another 265 dollars... The leak he found was on the cold water side. He probably spent a good hour talking trying to explain everything he was doing, but the more he talked the more I felt like i was about to be ripped off. After telling me I would be out of another possible 2995.00 and there might be two leaks(the hot water leak was never found) and I would be charged another 460.00 to try and find that. I told him that I would have to get the work done another time.( Only to get him out of my house).... I have sinced called another plumber and the price wasn't even close to what was quoted to me by the first plumber... Lesson learned. Maybe because I was a female, not sure. But I know when I'm being ripped off.

Description of Work: I had a main water line break in my front yard under the sidewalk. I could see it bubbling up under the cracks in the sidewalk. I called several plumbers on Angie's list but was told I needed leak detection and the it would be a week before they could schedule to fix it. Except Ernie's. They were out the next day to look at it and give me an estimate. They gave me multiple estimates. Although it was obvious there was a big leak under the sidewalk, since the pipes are 60+ years old, it was possible that the entire main line would have to be replaced - $1,600. If it was just the section under the sidewalk, cost would be approx $650. They were here early the next morning. The sidewalk came out without jack hammering because it was cracked in several places and had no wire or rebar. They repaired the section under the sidewalk and we turned the main water back on. Pressure held and the meter didn't move. The old pipes still looked good. They left it over the weekend to make sure there would be no problems. When they came out on Monday, everything was dry and the meter didn't move. I didn't have to replace the entire line. And because they did not have to jack hammer out the sidewalk section, the total price was only $460. They were great to work with. They came out promptly, estimated a low and high cost, completed the work the next day and ended up charging less than the low estimate because the sidewalk removal was so easy. They were wonderful!! Next time I need plumbing I will certainly call Ernie's.

Description of Work: The water shut off valve in my front yard broke on a Saturday, I called 3 plumbers, no one could come out to fix it except Ernie 's Plumbing. They were there in less than an hour, and had everything fixed in a few hours, for a fair price.

Description of Work: We have used Ernie's before -- but hadn't required their assistance in years. We had both a continuously running toilet in master bath and an inoperable outside water faucet so opted to bring in the professionals at Ernie's. Called them up and they gave us a same-day 4 hour window. They called before heading our way and arrived 2 hours earlier than expected. Fixed both issues within 30 minutes and because we were repeat customers didn't charge us for the call!! Now that's great customer service. Definitely recommed Ernie's!

Description of Work: My bathroom floor was having water leaking under the tub. I had a slab leak about 4 years ago and I thought it was back. When the gentleman came he thought it was the Air Conditioner. He emptied a pipe and I have had no problems since!!! Ernie's Plumbing and the service man were wonderful!

Description of Work: I recently purchased a pre-owned home, and wanted to make several improvements to the plumbing system. The existing water heater was about 15 years old, just about at its life expectancy. I also wanted to have the kitchen refrigerator area plumbed for water for an ice maker/water dispenser. Additionally, I needed to have three old bathroom faucet systems renovated (new stems/fixtures), as well as the interior structure of a toilet replaced. My service technician was David, and he was extremely professional from the very first meeting to estimate the work. David was extremely respectful of my property, even donning little plastic shoe covers to protect my carpeting. He made cost-saving suggestions, and worked to get me the best value for my dollar. Additionally, he was willing to be open to most any scheduling need in completing the work, doing much of it on a Saturday to accomodate my schedule. Overall the experience was very positive, and I would highly recommend Ernie's Plumbing, and particularly David, to anyone who has plumbing needs in the D/FW area.

Description of Work: The house was checked for a water leak and it was determined that none existed. It was suggested to contact the city water dept. and request a new meter reading. Ernies Plumbing provided good service and came the same day.

Description of Work: Experienced a slab leak. Was located and repairs done by Terry Brown & Pete King. Rather than cutting a hole in the slab, Terry mentioned going up in the attic and down to the bath room--An excellent suggestion. Repairs took longer than estimated, but stayed with the original price estimate. High recommend Ernies.
