Dennis Benson

BEWARE! Dennis Benson and his son Bryce Benson performed a portion of our large master bathroom remodel in Southlake, TX. After collecting the money they abandoned the job site. Dennis Benson did not pay any of the subcontractors he hired for drywall, tile work or cabinets. We eventually won a court judgement for the damages but he has yet to pay us a dime; further legal collections/liens are pending. We had to hire another contractor to demo and re-build the entire bathroom. Here are just some of the issues: Bathtub water lines and drain improperly installed; Shower pan floor improperly installed (no vapor barrier); Water lines in shower leaking behind the wall; shower valves installed upside-down; Dangerous/illegal electrical work (which he covered up with new drywall); Pocket door installed upside-down. We highly recommend avoiding this dishonest and incapable individual (and any of his family members) for ANY work whatsoever. The last we heard he was heading to Joplin, MO to work on homes after the tornado. It is possible that he is working for his brother. It's likely that he'll also try to get work in Oklahoma after the recent tornadoes. BEWARE!
