+ -1 moreSalesman promptly came and gave us an estimate. We paid one-half down $1,059, and Daltex sent us a receipt on March 24. On the day of installation they sent an email saying, and quot;some unfortunate stuffand quot; had happened and they could not come that day. That's the last we have heard from them. Period. They have not returned ANY of our numerous phone calls or emails. None. Zero. We were able to reach our salesman on his cell, and he now says he no longer works for the company. Really? Have discovered Daltex has an and quot;Fand quot; rating with Better Business Bureau and were removed as a member for issues similar to ours. Their website shows offices in prestigious office buildings in Ft. Worth, Dallas and also one in Grand Prairie. We are still checking but have reason to believe the first two are either virtual offices or completely bogus. Bottom line: We have no fence, are out over $1,000, and appear to have been taken big time.
Description of Work: Nothing except take our money. We contracted with them to build a wood privacy fence. They were recommended by a trusted contractor who recently remodeled our home so we did not check out Daltex. In the past our contractor had worked with the Daltex salesman. Contractor was unaware of issues with the company.

+ -1 moreWorking with them went pretty well. At the estimate, they were prompt, very professional, and got the estimate to us quickly. We had some adjustments to it because we wanted to change the board type and a few smaller things like that. They worked with us and got us an estimate within our range. We told them we needed the work done quickly, before we moved in, and they did arrange to do that. Unfortunately, it was extremely hot, so they couldn't work their crews very long days. Twice they had equipment failures and showed up later than they had told us, which ended up losing them a significant amount of time. To their credit, their project manager was very friendly, and he went and replaced their broken machinery before the day was over. The next day, they showed up later than we were expecting, and we had to leave town before we could see the job finished. They still got the fence done within our time frame, but it was a bit more stressful than it could have been. The fence was very sturdy and very well made. The workmanship was very good. We are satisfied with the price and with the job. Despite the few smaller problems we had with the project, we will be calling them back for another project we have soon.

Description of Work: This company not only had the BEST/most competitive price, the quality of their materials AND their excellent workmanship SIGNIFICANTLY surpassed a previously used fence contractor that our neighbor hired for a different common fence line. We heard about this company through word of mouth from a family friend who had been equally impressed and very satisfied. There will be no hesitation on our part to provide a quick recommendation of DalTex Fence to anyone in our tornado ravaged neighborhood.
