D Bassett Roofing & Repair

Called on Monday and they were out here on Tuesday to do the shingle replacement and fix sagging gutter. Came back out Wednesday with materials to install new downspout. They did an excellent job and were very polite and answered any questions or concerns that I had. Thanks.

The crew showed up the day after Mr. Bassett came and gave his estimate. They fixed the big cracks on the first day. The crew worked quickly and they did a great job. They cleaned up the debris before they left and they vacuumed the carpet. The crew was able to fix the last major repair on day two and there was no need for a third day. Mr. Bassett came back after the crew finished and we went over all the repairs. I am satisfied with the work and I will contact them in the future if I need other repairs to the house.

Came out on Jan. 4,2012 and did estimate. I contacted Jan. 17 or 18 to get service started. Was told repairs would take 1-2 days. The repairs started on 01/19/12. They finish the exterior work on Friday 01/20/12, and then informed me that the interior work is done by a different team and would contact the team that day see when they would come out. I did not get a call Friday or Monday morning, so I called Basset Monday afternoon to follow up. I received a prompt call back and informed that the workers would be out Tuesday to do interior repairs. They did not show up on Tuesday morning so I call Bassett on Tuesday afternoon to follow up. I was told that there was a small breakdown in communication with the worker and Bassett apologized and informed me they would be out the following morning. The team did arrive the following morning and did the repairs. The repairs look good. The teams cleaned up after themselves. Other than not being informed that the at the time of service started that the estimate of completion did not include the interior and the miscommunication between the worker, everything went well.

Mr. Bassett came out and gave the estimate/bid himself rather than sending a salesman. He gave the impression of really knowing his stuff and being a true craftsman with roofing. Unfortunately his price was about 40% more than the competitor we had do the work. I'm no expert, but the competitor might not have had the attention to detail, but the quality seems fine and was much closer to the insured amount. If money had been no object, I would have had Mr. Bassett do the work.

Mr. Bassett was great and my family liked him from the start. The work was fairly priced, the estimate spot on. The work crew was great and cleaned up behind themselves. The roof was started and completed in a very timely manner, about one day. The entire process took less than two weeks, from estimate to finish (mostly because I needed to look at color of the new tiles for the roof, and I slowed him down). Mr. Bassett communicated with us at every step. I never had any problems reaching him. After the job was finished he noted that the insurance company incorrectly counted the number of tiles to complete the job and advised us on how to correct the matter. Thanks so much to him and his crew. I would have their company work on my house any time, as I feel this is a very honest and open company.

I called him at the first of the week and he did the job thursday! Very proffesional! Reasonable price!

Mr. Bassett repainted my house, replace all the rotted wood around my house, gave me a new roof, and extended my master bedroom bathroom as well. I loved the finished product. But he was not as professional he promised me that his workers would be at my house at a certain at 9:00am but instead they would show up at 11:00am. And when I tried to reach Mr. Bassett I always got sent to his voicemail. There was a time when I didn't hear from him nor the company for THREE WEEKs. Then when they did complete the task I found some itmes unfinished and was put on hold for a month for them to complete it! Overall the quality was B in work. and customer satisfaction D.

Overall, the experience was great. We've used them several times. The technicians arrived on time and completed the work quickly and efficiently. The price was reasonable and the entire process went smoothly. I'm happy with their services and I've already recommended them to a couple of friends, and would recommend them to anyone for needing roofing work.

We received a quote the day after I submitted the request. After inspection, we only needed a small repair done and Don said they would do it in-between larger jobs. They came a couple of days and fixed it, and didn't even charge us at that time..... they said they first wanted to let a big rain come through to ensure that they truly fixed it. What great customer service!

Mr. Bassett was very helpful on the phone. He was able to work with us on setting up a time to do the work. (We preferred the work to be done on a weekend.) The two men that came were punctual. When then got onto the roof, the alerted us to the fact that several shingles on the gable were missing and asked if we would like them replaced for additional $50. They took a picture of the missing shingles to show us. They completed the job in about 1 and half hours. They were responsive to my husband's requests ( we wanted the thermostat disconnected from the attic fan) though instructions needed to be repeated a few times. I only have two complaints - I asked them to remove their shoes upon entering the house as I have a 7 month old that is crawling. They refused saying that they were only going to the attic. I think they should have some shoe covers they can put on. Also, they did not clean up the sawdust that was created by making a hole in the roof for the attic fan.

The contractor arrived exactly at the appointed hour, worked quickly and continuously until the project was completed. The price was as as agreed prior to the work. All debris was cleaned up and removed. Very good work.

Overall, they did a good job, I don't have any complaints. They were very good in every category.

Work was done quickly, within two days of initial contact, within the agreed schedule and at the agreed price. The work was performed correctly.

Our roof was over 20+ years old and had multiple leaks. Thanks to the leaks, we also had several small leaks into the interior of our home and one large leak that was so serious that it had destroyed a closet. With respect to the roof, we obtained several quotes. We went with this company for several reasons. First, Don (the owner) came out personally to give us the quote on the job. He was very thorough and took the time to explain the process and material options and was very patient answering our numerous questions. Next, his quote when compared to the other companies was outstanding. He offered the best price (signficantly less) than the other companies while using better quality materials. (For example, using heavier felt than the other companies, while not charging more for same.) He also replaced our flashing without charging more and not simply trying to fix or repair our old flashing. Once we signed the contract, Don's workers were out shortly thereafter and the work was completed in two days. The workers were all very nice and I was extremely pleased with the care they took in cleaning up. (I had been concerned about my dogs stepping on roofing nails,etc., but they cleaned up everything! They even swept my porches even though they hadn't dropped any materials there!) Don came out to inspect the work when it was completed and when he felt that part of the flashing work was not up to his standard (it looked fine to me), he had his worker come back out and re-do that portion. We also used Don to have all the interior work done. This involved a different set of workers and they too did an excellent job. They replaced the walls and ceiling in our closet. They repaired multiple leak areas in our living room and in our bedroom. They also replaced a portion of our ceiling in the kitchen from a prior leak and repainted the ceiling in our kitchen and dining area. They did a great job and we can't even tell where the leaks or saggy ceiling (in kitchen) even were anymore! Overall, we can't recommend this company enough. Again, Don has high standards and expects his work to reflect that. I was extremely appreciative of his always taking time to answer our calls and questions. And I was extremely pleased with work done. We would recommend (and already have recommended) him to our friends/family. And in fact, we now have discovered our chimney cap needs to be replaced and we will be using Don again to get this work done. Great experience, great company, great owner!

every thing went as it was supposed to . came out gave estimate , I called back and authorized the work . every thing went as promised .

Everything went real well. I wish he had used a little better color match for the shingles. He was quick and got here when he said he was going to be. He had the job done and he was gone. There was one negative thing though. He was supposed to give me a 10 percent discount and the total bill was $625.00, so it should have been $65.00 off. He just gave me $25.00 off because he had already written his bill and he said that he would make it an even $600.00. So I didn't get my full discount.

They are very good. They call ahead, do very good work, the crew worked well together and you could tell they worked well together for a long time. They were all very curteous and professional. We have every reason to believe that Mr. Bassett is a very honest man too which is extremelly important to me and my husband. We have guttering all around the house including our covered patio. They matched the shingling, the gutters and downspouts are excellent and the overall job is beautiful. We get compliments from neighbors about the appearance. The company also did an exceptional job of clean up. We highly recommend them.

They did a great job on the roof and it didn't but about two days to finish. They were very cortious at my home and the workmanship is guarenteed for 5 years and the roof itself is guarenteed for 20 years

The work was done promptly and they were very professional and nice to deal with. I will call them again when I need my roof replaced.

He was on time, came out right away and quoted less than some other companies and he seemed very knowledgeable.

We sold our house and the buyers inspector recommended a few small repairs to the roof. I looked up this company on Angie's List and used the 10% off coupon. Telephone estimate was $150-$250. Work was done on schedule and the final price was $180.

I had leaks around two of my gas furnace vent pipes. I called D. Bassett and described the problem. The lady told me that Martin would call me that day or the next to inspect the roof. Martin called two hours later and inspected late the same afternoon. He inspected the areas and told me what had to be done. He also pointed out the cracked ridge shingles. Martin gave me a quote. I said OK and showed him the Angie's 10% discount coupon. He had not seen one before, but said he would pass it to Mr. Bassett. Martin showed up the next morning with all materials and completed the work in 3 hours. He gave me the invoice which reflected the Angie's List discount. It is extremely difficult to get someone to do a "small" roof repair job, but Martin is the designated repair man for D. Bassett - seven year employee. Very professional.

The repairman came out on Monday and gave an estimate for the work to be done. Returned two days later and completed the work over a 5 hour period. Backed up the repair with a 1 year warranty against any leaks.

Leaks developed during severe May rainstorm. Called Mr. Bassett's number and left message on machine. Received callback in less than 1 hour even though roofers were swamped with calls. He scheduled Martin to estimate the job within 2 days and this was done as scheduled. Roof repairs were made within 1 day of accepting estimate and siding repairs were completed following week.
