Description of Work: Chip remodeled our kitchen, master bath, powder bath and laundry room. Chuck was our superintendent. He was very responsive and kept us informed each step of the process. I would definitely use Chip again. In fact we are discussing when to do the second bath.

Description of Work: Chip's built cabinets and installed cabinets and granite countertops for my kitchen remodel. Helped with planning. Owner is assertive, but I was generally fine with his recommendations. We had a bit of a disconnect with the contractor who did all other work on the remodel - but was mainly a communication issue. Overall, the cabinets are beautiful and very pleased with how it turned out.

Description of Work: He was slow to respond to the original call. When he came he was late and not professional acting or in appearance. I had to call him for the amount of the bid after he promised he would call me. He was supposed to email estimate and a drawing/plan for the work. he threw together a quick drawing, not even to scale and without the details we had discussed. l will never use him or refer anyone to him.

Description of Work: Remodel kitchen and den to my specifications. Quality of Chip's work was top notch, and he listens to his customer. Based on his extensive experience, he can also provide advice when his customer needs input. Matching stain on new areas was a challenge, but I don't think anyone else could do better without improved technology.

 + 2 moreThe first project went pretty well until the end, when I had enough of remodeling and wanted my house back. I made the worker stop what he was doing and leave. He was dragging it out too much by coming in for an hour then leaving and coming back a couple of days later. I learned from my experience and don't ever pay before the job is totally complete and don't give workers a garage door opener. I didn't report him to Chip since I was pretty happy with the look of the kitchen. All that was left was some painting. The wet bar conversion went great and was done in no time, with finishing done very well by the worker. I really like it. I'm sure you could pay more and maybe get a more expensive remodeling job with different kinds of wood, etc. But I think for our house it was perfect.
Description of Work: Chip has done a couple of jobs for us. He was recommended to us by a friend who had her cabinets done. The first project was done, I think, in April or May 2002. He tore out all of our kitchen cabinets, extended a wall so I could have a microwave above my stove and replaced all appliances. I thought the price was very reasonable compared to other estimates we had. Chip is great at layout design. The next project was for a 70's wet bar conversion to a storage cabinet for our cds/etc. This project was done in September 2008. The cabinet looks great and we couldn't be happier with it. The cost was $1700.
