The other company that I was working with is Chandler Company. I felt grateful for the work that he did. Everybody in the neighborhood and around, 3 neighborhoods, had to replace the roof, everybody had to because of a large hail. We were lucky because 2 blocks from me, they had baseball sized hails. As far as I know, no leaks. I could always depend, I didn't even have to think about it because he would come and he would do whatever needed to be done. It wasn't all at the same time, like he came and did it and later and so on and he got it all done and I didn't even worry about whether or not it was going to be done.

THE CHANDLER CO CONTRACT STATED AS PER INS. ESTIMATE. WE TOOK SOME PICTURES OF THE ROOF WHILE THE ROOFERS WERE WORKING AND SHOWED THEM TO ANOTHER ROOFER, BECAUSE IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WERE NOT PUTTING DOWN ROOFING PAPER UNDER THE SHINGLES. WE HAD THE ROOF PROFESSIONALLY INSPECTED AND THE INSPECTOR FOUND PAGES AND PAGES OF THINGS WRONG, MISSING AND COVERED UP.1 EXAMPLE IS THE VENT STACKS WERE SUPPOSED TO BE REPLACED, THEY JUST PAINTED THEM. THE SHINGLES WERE NOT NAILED CORRECTLY. THE NEW ROOFER SAID THE WHOLE ROOF NEEDED TO BE TORN OFF AND REPLACED.WE HAD OVER 100 PICTURES OF THINGS WRONG AND WHEN SHOWED TO BURT, HE AGREED TO REPLACE THE ROOF AND TO PAY FOR THE THINGS HIS MEN DAMAGED. WE AGREED TO THIS, BUT BURT NEVER SHOWED UP TO DO THE WORK WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD. I FINALLY SENT BURT A DEMAND LETTER TO REFUND MY DOWNPAYMENT MONEY. HE NEVER PAID IT SO I TOOK HIM TO SMALL CLAIMS COURT IN MAY 2012 AND WON A JUDGEMENT FROM HIM FOR JUST OVER $7000.00. HE CAME TO COURT WITH NO DEFENSE EXCEPT TO SAY HE IS SUCH A LARGE COMPANY AND IT SLIPPED THROUGH THE CRACKS. I WENT TO HIS "LARGE COMPANY" IN ARLINGTON AND FOUND OUT IT WAS AN EAGLE POSTAL CENTER. I NEVER HEARD FROM BURT AND I CONTACTED HIM AND HE AGREED TO PAY $1000.00 PER WEEK UNTIL THE JUDGEMENT WAS PAID. HE MADE A FEW PAYMENTS AND STOPPED PAYING.I HAVE FILED LIENS WITH THE COURT AND WILL HAVE THE SHERIFF LOOK FOR ASSETS.THIS IS DEFFINATELY NOT SOMEONE YOU WANT ON YOUR PROPERTY.THE TOTAL ROOFING JOB WAS ABOUT $20,000.00

It was a pleasure to work with The Chandler Company from start to finish. Each person we had contact with was very professional in demeanor, and they were always prompt and efficient. They handled all of the insurance paperwork. The roof replacement was done in less than a day. They also scheduled a crew to come in to repair the ceiling in our bedroom that was damaged by the leaking roof. Their work was also exemplary. Our final cost, $2300, was the cost of our insurance deductible. They credited us $500 for allowing them to put a sign in our yard advertising their services, which made our out of pocket $1800. The total actual cost of all services rendered (roof replacement and ceiling repair) was $6,568.06. I would definitely recommend this company to others, and would hire them again.
