Description of Work: They did come and take measurements of the windows for the glass. Was told on 8/5/14 when they came that it would be 7 days before the glass was in. On 8/8/14 called multiple times to get an invoice, to provide to a title co, no response. On 8/11/14 called back asked to talk to a supervisor/manager explained the need for the invoice, finally received the invoice via email and everything was dated 8/11/14, which lets me know that the glass was probably not ordered on 8/8/14 when I was given the quote and paid half of money. To date (8/25/14) the glass has still not come in to be installed. Not at all happy with the service.

+ 0 moreI am satisfied over all. We were pleased with the work and clean up by the workman that came. We had to put the work off for a month because of a roof job I was waiting. I did not get any other quotes. When I wanted them to start they said they wanted fifty percent down. This was not told to me when I received the quote. I called corporate and worked it out to a thirty percent down payment. The work got done and the final payment was made. We were very happy with the work and quality.
Description of Work: Binswanger Glass replaced the glass in 24 windows. They did not replace the frames.

+ -1 moreI called 3 auto glass companies to price a windshield replacement. One was a national company that advertises on tv.. They quoted me a price for replacing the windshield then said, disposal would be added as well as mobile service would also be added if I requested that. Another company said that the person fixing it could use the old seal on our car now, or if we go with a new seal it would be extra. I've used Binswanger before for other glass needs and when I called them, they said they could do it and gave me a bottom line price for everything. And that is why I chose them.
Description of Work: I appreciate the service and the forth right pricing of Binswanger. I called two other places and they quoted one price which seemed great, but then they said if you want a new seal it would be this much more. If they come out to me it would be this much more and disposal fee would also be added. Binswanger said your total price would be $252 and that was it. And they did come to me! The other two places were close in price, but I didn't want to pay for any hidden fees that I didn't know about after they performed the service, thus I went with Binswanger.

+ -1 moreI made the mistake of using a chip repair company not listed on Angie's. They arrived 1 hour late to do the repair at my home and did very shoddy work. The chip was not sealed. I took the car to Binswanger. They said they could fix it and did. I called the other company back and told them I would prefer not paying. They agreed. Lesson learned? Stick with Angie's List.
Description of Work: I got a chip in my Honda CRV windshield.

replacement windows
+ -1 moreThey broke the window the brought to replace my broken window. Those things happen. They said they had to order another one but I never heard back from them. Weeks went by. I finally called them they said that my window was there and had been for ahwile. I asked why they hadn't called to let me know but they had no excuse; I'd just been ignored. My broken window was just being held together with the tape they put on the window and I was bothered they hadn't advised me about my new one. I in the mean time went with another company. After I called them and found out they had a new window for me (but had not advised me) then they wanted me to pay for it. I'd already gone with another company after being ignored for so many weeks. They left a message that they were having problems dealing with my insurance company but I hadn't filed with my insurance for the window. Their way of doing business was unacceptable.
Description of Work: I hired them to fix a broken window on my home.

+ -1 moreCame to the house to do the installation. Arrived within the expected time window. Worked quickly. Transferred the "license stickers" without problem. It's been over three months since the installation and there have been no problems with the new windshield (rain or shine). Note: auto insurance paid for all but the deductible.

+ -1 moreDana gave me an 8:30am appointment. When nobody had shown up at 8:45am, I called and he said he was "just going to call me because his serviceman didn't show up". I don't believe it for a minute. If he was going to call me, it should have been before 8:30 because he surely knew his guy wasn't coming before then.
Description of Work: I called to have a chip repaired on my windshield and confirmed that they would bill my insurance company for their service. No service was performed.
