The seat replacement was excellent. The armrest is good. The door panel kept popping out and I took it back and Bill tried to repair it. The repair was to trim the foam and reglue the leather. This was marginal aesthetically. Unfortunately the new glue has not held with the high heat. I have not taken the car back to Bill, waiting on the weather to cool. I expect he would attempt to repair again.
Description of Work: Replaced leather on one seat, one arm rest, and fixed leather on door panel.

The employee I dealt with started out nice. I asked their advice on what type of vinyl to use since I did not know. They gave me a sample board to take out to the boat. The boat is a small carver yacht and the interior furniture had been the originals. Carver does not cheap out on anything on their boats. We discussed what he was going to do and he wanted to make the job easier ( and supposedly more reasonably priced) by not exactly replicating the inside seat backs, which had 2 pieces of foam separated by a complete zippered compartment to hold the shape. I agreed but told him I wanted the new seats to look nice and that if in his professional opinion they would, it was OK. They charged 2000.00 asking for 1000. up front. They used all our old foam and had the frame of the bottom seat but provided the vinyl. They got the job done in about 2 weeks however the work was the worst I've ever seen and so says anyone we've shown them to.You would think they had been done by someone learning how with no supervision. There were lumps all over, seams don't match and not only that the seat back heights don't match. The zippers he used were disgustingly filthy, like they had brown mold or rust on them. ( he replaced them or cleaned them) The Velcro that attaches the upholstered seat to the boat seat frame was in the wrong place so the backing was unstable. One item was 3 cushions sewn together used to fold out and make an extra bed on the boat by laying them on top of the lowered kitchen table, ( like RV's) They had completely sewn a cushion on backwards, but not in the way it had been where one folds backwards so it can fit into the storage area. He took it back to fix and it's still wrong. Remember we took in ALL our boat seats for him to recover. He had the originals of everything. One long banquette bench that had previously been all one long seat, for some unknown reason got made it into two seats. Even their guy said and quot; well, why would we make it into two if it was one? and quot; Well buddy, we still don't know but we have pictures, which we sent him through Angie's list email, of the original bench seat and it's not in two pieces. He fixed it by recovering over the two separate pieces of wood frame to make it one long one. The vinyl is what's holding the two pieces together. At one point he came out to the boat in the slip when we told him nothing fit. He pushed and whacked at the cushions trying to get them to work and took several back with him, but it doesn't matter, they are still not fixed and look horrible. We are embarrassed at the way they look. The other boat owners on our dock are really surprised anyone would do such a bad job. We are going to have to pay to get them redone somewhere else. Now, some of the seat backs are thick, some are much thinner. They have different shapes at the corners. The seams don't line up. Seams on one corner show of a bottom cushion show, and don't on the other. I wish I could be making this up. I have pictures of before and after and if I knew there was a way to attach them to this review I would. He thinks he fixed everything. It was such a hassle and so many mistakes that it's obvious that they can not do the job which is why we didn't bother to ask him again to fix them. When we originally went to pick them up the first time, we could only take a few in the car with us ( but we were in the area) and he made us pay the balance so we have no recourse except small claims court. The man we dealt with was nice enough but he ruined our boat seats. Another upholsterer who we brought out to look at them and get a quote to re-do is concerned that they don't have the originals to work from because these ones are miss-shaped. It didn't help the mess that Bill's selected outdoor boat seat vinyl for the interior furniture which makes them uncomfortable to sit on. It seems like this company gets some good reviews, and I saw him on Angie's list as well as a friend had used him. Maybe he's good for small jobs. Maybe the seats he does in autos are cloth. If you saw these there is no way you would think there was anything OK about them. There is no excuse whatsoever for the poor workmanship, bad quality, and over all junk they returned to us. We were totally ripped off. It's up to you if you want to take a chance on them, but non of our boat owning friends will, and we certainly won't ever again.
Description of Work: I brought him my interior boat seats ( banquette and couch) and he was to recover them with new vinyl, using the existing foam and frame. He was also to return some fabric that had been taped on a couple of the seats to make do until I could get them in for repair.

The car is ten years old and now the seat looks new. Bill's is an expert who knows his business. He did an excellent job matching the leather and the workmanship was top quality. He is very professional. The job only took one day and was ready when promised.

I've used Bill's Upholstery many years ago and always known they've been there. So I called to find out the hours and best time to bring in my Motorcycle seat that was torn. Went up there to speak with a nice gentleman to be provided a fair price which is much less than a new Seat all together. I was told it would take a few days and got a call within the few days as promised stating it's ready. When I picked it up, I felt as I got more than I had asked for nor could tell it had a section replaced. I will certainly go back to Bill's for Upholstery work.

I called them and described the situation and they told me to come in when I can and they would take a look. A few days later, I brought it in and he told me he could do a temporary fix or he would have to replace the leather on front side piece and the vinyl on the side piece. I opted for replacement. He quoted me $150 and told me if I decided to do it to bring it in the next morning. If that didn't work to call him to set an appointment the following week. I left and discussed it with my husband. We decide to go for it so I just showed up the next morning. I left my Honda and picked it up at 5:00. It looked great. I am very happy with their work. On a side note, if they get very busy they do not always answer their phone in the afternoon.

I used them years ago with excellent results. It took 1 week before they finally said it was ready. This is not the business that I dealt with before. New management? DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR PARTS.
Description of Work: They broke my fiberglass headliner, headliner had a large wringle in it where the fiberglass was broken and taped, looked like a 6 year old put the liner on. I also removed the headliner myself and know there wasn't anything wrong with it. I refused to accept it and left.
