A family-owned and operated business for the past 38 years. We would love to help you get the most from your sewing, embroidery or quilting machine. We have all the supplies you could want and all the experience and knowledge you need. Arlington Sewing Machine Supply Company is a multi-line sewing machine dealership, which includes Brother and Janome and Babylock. We carry a complete line of books, notions, accessories, stabilizers, threads and parts. We also have a wonderful knowledgeable staff of instructors and technicians to help you with your needs. On our website you can also find information about sewing classes, clubs and upcoming events at our store. We have experienced, certified technicians who are factory authorized to repair your serger, sewing, embroidery or quilting machine without your machine ever leaving our store . . . The new Arlington Sewing Machine Repair and Service location is in South Arlington, at 2523 Early Bird Dr. 76001. Call them in advance to set an appointment at 817-538-9127. They work on all types of home and industrial machines. On $50 per repair unless you need parts.

I received NO RESPONSE WHAT SO EVER from them or their service repair department. Prior to contacting this company with Angie’s list, I had made contact with the service department through their own website!!!
Description of Work: Feed dogs on sewing machine. I dropped them for a project and wouldn’t come back up when moved appropriate button to do so.

We suggest that you take your machine in to a store for evaluation. They should give you a free estimate. When you have a machine issue, it's a good idea to call and make contact with a live person so that they can walk you through various steps to troubleshoot. We checked our email, including the spam folder and do not find any correspondence from you. We found the email through Angies List in our spam folder which we only check occasionally. We will definitely have to look into our email settings! Thanks for letting us know that there is an issue.

Description of Work: All parties who I spoke with were pleasant, professional and caring to resolve the problem my wife had with her sewing machine. They did an initial examination to see if the problem could readily be fixed. When not, they gave an estimate and idea of how long servicing would take. They were on the money for both.

Description of Work: I was very pleased with the service. I don't have a comparison for the price but I was glad to pay it to have my mom's sewing machine brought back to working order. The original price was $129 but a couple of parts were needed which I understand. I definitely plan on using them in the future.

I have been dealing with Arlington Sewing for 9 years. Everyone at the store is helpful, knowledgible and eager ti help. They sell a variety of machines and are familiar with the pros and cons of each and so can assist in finding the right machine for what you want to do. And when you choose a machine, they are there to teach and assist you in learning to use your machine to the fullest.. Repair services are prompt and complete. I have never had to take a machine back because it wasn't fixed properly.
Description of Work: I was having a problem with the needle on my machine not functioning. Brad fixed it very quickly while I waited.

Description of Work: Arlington Sewing Machine cleaned/repaired 2 sewing machines for me, including my grandmothers 1948 Singer and did a fantastic job. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. I was so impressed with Arlington Sewing Machine that I bought my new serger machine from them.

So far it's sewing really good; it's doing real good but I think Arlington Sewing Machine charged me way too much because I have called a couple of other places and they said they would do it for $90 while they charged us $175. A lot of it was our fault, we should have had the price given directly before we let them do the work, it was kind of our fault for not checking what they were going to charge. My sewing machine is a Bernina and of course there are only a few places that sell Berninas and they do not sell them. They did a good job in adjusting it and everything. There was one person who had sent in a report on the Arlington Sewing Machine and they said that they thought they did a good job and all that so that's why we went down there. We were kind of unhappy on what they charged. They had it ready when they said they would. I will not use them again on my remaining sewing machine.

I took my sewing machine in for repairs thinking I needed a new machine. I did not - it was just very dirty. While there, I asked about sergers and was very excited to hear about one that was in the price range I wanted to spend. The gentleman took time with me to show me how they worked, tell me there is a free, one time class that comes with the serger and then explain that there are additional classes for a reasonable rate. He explained to me how quickly my projects would take with a serger. One thing I noticed about this shop, and this was my first time going there, was the friendliness about the store...everyone seemed like family, and it was a warm, inviting place to shop. I was very happy - and being someone who only knows how to sew in a straight line, and very intimidated by most places, this place made me feel right at home.

Excellent experience with every visit!
Description of Work: I purchased a sewing machine a few months ago from this company. I checked them out after reading wonderful reviews from previous customers. I don't sew, and was looking for an inexpensive, but good quality machine. I was shown different machines and offered demonstrations on each. Because I was looking for one that would embroider as well, I just didn't know which one to choose. It just so happened that someone brought in a gently used Brother while I was shopping. I ended up purchasing that one after much debate (in my own mind). I now own a sewing/embroidery machin that I will have for years to come. It offers so much diversity! They also offer a free sewing and embroidery class with your purchase. I recently took the classes Libby was an excellent instructor! I learned so much about sewing and embroidery, it was hard to believe these were "basic" classes. I was also shown many features on my machine. Notion prices are reasonable at the store and the staff is extremely helpful. I totally see why they have such a great reputation for miles around! I hate having to drive so far to get great services, but it's totally worth it. Give them a try-you won't be disappointed!

Description of Work: I took my old sewing machine into Arlington Sewing Center and was prepared to buy a new one, but Larry showed me that my machine, with a little tweeking would work fine for the project I intended to sew. All I had to do was buy a different thread. I highly recommend this company because they could have easily told me I needed one of thier new machines to do the work and they didn't. That's ethical customer service--something I had thought left us a LONG time ago. Kudos to you Larry and Arlington Sewing Center.
