Service was okay. When we had to to some additional job the vendor came up with a quote that's exorbitant. almost 3 times what's in the market. They were trying to rip me off since only they can do the matching color.

I was remodeling my fireplace which had a wood surround and mantle. I wanted to replace it with case stone. I contacted American Masonry Supply in Arlington, TX. They have a nice website where you can view the many varieties that they offer. A gentlemen name Rubin came to my home with a sample kit of various finishes for the stone. I had chosen the style online but not the finish. He took measurements while my son and I selected the finish. I had several questions about adding a hearth as he gave me some options and recommendations for my situation. He told me what the most popular finishes were and I finally made my decision. The total for materials amounted to about $1600 of which they required half as down payment with the other half due at delivery. While my order was being made I had some other questions after the initial visit and Rubin was very responsive to all my questions. Several weeks later my order was ready and it was delivered to my driveway (for an additional $50). It was a lot of stone and I had no idea how to install cast stone so I opted for a pro that came highly recommended by Rubin. The contractor called me almost immediately and we agreed on a price of $650. Surprisingly, the installation took almost the entire day which was OK with me. When I got home the stone looked quite a bit darker than I recalled selecting. I came to find out that the stone still needed to cure and dry to its final finish. When the drying was complete it looked absolutely beautiful. The quality and installation of the entire project was top notch. The grout between the joints matched perfectly. All in all it was money well spent. American Masonry Supply in Arlington TX is a very reputable company and they know what they are doing. If you're looking to do a fireplace surround remodel in the DFW area, I would highly recommend them. I know they do other stone work and I know that I would not hesitate to contact them for those projects as well.
