Great. She diagnosed a bad pilot assembly, replaced and the valve assembly proved too old to sustain the flame. She ordered and replaced that part - even showed up on Christmas Eve to install it. Fireplace never worked this well before. Outstanding service.

Great. A text was sent one day prior to appointment. A text and phone called was made the day of the appointment. The fire place was service and repaired. My technician was very knowledgeable.

The work they did was excellent, but it took 3 separate trips by 3 different service men over about 3 weeks to get it done. The first guy was the real problem: over 2 hrs late for 1st appt, didn't show for the next (eventually called). He was fired, to the company's credit. The other two were polite, hardworking, efficient -- restored my trust in the company. I would use them again.

The service was outstanding. They were very informative and careful throughout the job. The fireplace is 15 years old, so we were very pleased it could be repaired. Another company had charged an inspection fee, only to tell us it could not be repaired. We received a Senior Discount on top of a very reasonable charge. It was good. They did a good job and even though I had not moved in the house yet they were still careful not to get anything dirty as far as carpet. I can't remember the total cost.

The house that I sold, the buyer had requested that I have the chimney cleaned and inspected and wanted it done before they closed on the house. It hadn't been that long, maybe a year before that when I had done a cleaning on it but they came out and did that. It was good. He said it was not very dirty at all. I said it had only been a couple of years and I really didn't have that many fires in there. He knew I needed something from him, a receipt, to give to the buyer. They were real careful as far as not to get anything dirty. I don't know about price because I don't know what the other people charge.

Kevin, representing 1st Choice Chimney, showed up to my scheduled appointment time 30 minutes early. He called first before showing up and I approved. I explained the problem and he spent 1 hour correcting the issue because it was an intermittent problem, which was a faulty wall switch. He also refreshed the fire place kindle and cleaned out the fire box. He left the fireplace in a condition that was better than new since the original installers did not install the logs correctly. Kevin was professional, courteous and did not make a mess. He was very careful to keep everything clean and free of soot. I would definitely recommend 1st Choice Chimney to my friends and call on them again should I need their services. Thanks.

Called and scheduled an appt. as we had a dead bird in the chimney that needed to be removed. Very polite tech showed up on time.;Removed the bird and advised me that he did not have a ladder (40') to reach the chimney in order to measure for a cap. My request when I called was for a cleaning and a cap and the gentlemen who answered the phone assured me that all techs had 40' ladders on their trucks. Not true. The tech who serviced my chimney told me that only one tech had a 40' ladder and that the office would call and schedule the cap installation as soon as he was "in my area". I also feel that the $281 charge for removing a dead bird was outrageous. He was here for about 45 minutes and quite a bit of that time was spent out by his truck on his phone. That was two weeks ago. Have not heard back. I have since hired another company to install the cap, which was completed the day I made the call.

After several missteps of scheduling and no-shows, they arrived to work. They were very careful about the fireplace sweep and damper fix as we have a white stone hearth and fireplace. Hunter was very good to work with and they did an excellent job. They had to reschedule the exterior work for another day. My issue with the no-shows and delays was having to reschedule the roofer, and painters for the interior ceiling and for the exterior, as the chimney work had to come first. When Hunter and crew arrived for the chimney work, they were again, very good to work with and did a very good job of cleaning, repairing and re-sealing the brick. They added a new crown and mounted a new chimney pot and cap. They left the work areas inside and outside very clean. I would use them again and would recommend them.

They man was nice and knowledgeable. They showed me how to clean the screen. I referred them to others.

The technician, Marshall, was fantastic. He came out, cleaned the chimney, inspected it and spoke to me at length regarding routine maintenance. We had not had it cleaned in years and there was a heavy build up of creosote, so he advised me of the frequency we should be having our chimney swept in relationship to the amount of use. He was very neat and despite the amount of dirt, ash and creosote removed during the cleaning, there was no mess. He was very careful to contain it all and take care to cover my flooring. I had found a crack in the back panel of the fireplace when cleaning it out for the end of the season. He checked that and confirmed that it needed replacing, ordered it and returned a week later to install it. Again, there was no mess and the process went quickly and smoothly. Each visit he was very punctual, professional and friendly. I had done some research and found all the pricing to be fair and competitive for the services rendered. I never felt as if he was going to try to and quot;selland quot; me on something that I did not need. I will use this company again in the future and will specifically request that Marshall do the work.

Needed repair for gas fireplace that had multiple issues causing the pilot light to go out frequently. After a series of scheduling issues, Marshall Jackson repaired the fireplace completely, cleaned out old debris, added new embers and stones, and provided knowledge about the use of the fireplace. The job was done cleanly and efficiently, and at minimal cost when compared to other estimates. I would definitely use them again for any fireplace issues I may have.

We had some very special circumstances arise during the repairs that were completely unexpected and required extra visits, and the contractor was amazing! . The communication from this contractor was above any expectation. They treated us like we were their top priority. I am a small business owner as well , so I must so I highly recommend 1st Choice Chimney.

I wanted my chimney caps inspected for possible damage. I spoke with the company on a Monday morning and was told that the earliest that my chimney caps could be inspected was on Thursday. Come Thursday afternoon, I get a call that they couldn't make it out but requested that I send them pictures. I immediately texted over some pictures. That's the last I heard from them. It's been over a week and no call back from them. If they didn't want the work, the least they could do is call back to tell me so.

We had used them before at our previous house for a chimney sweep and repair of our chimney when a storm knocked the top off, so when we bought this house, I called them again because the guy that inspected the house said it needed to be cleaned and checked out. He arrived at the scheduled time just like the last time and it wasn't a and quot;windowand quot; of opportunity appointment like you usually get with cable companies and other types of businesses. The guy they sent, Marshall was quick and explained things that he was doing as I asked him about it. He didn't seem to be bothered by me bugging him with questions about how the gas logs worked. We never had a gas fireplace before the last house we used wood, so he showed me how to operate it correctly. He even cleaned up the glass doors free of charge. I didn't even realize they were dirty till he cleaned them. Looks fantastic now. We also had them clean our dryer vent out too since the inspector said it looked like it was clogged up when we were buying the house. He did a good job and kept both work areas tidy while working and made sure it was spotless when he left. Really happy with their service and promptness. I will be using them again in the future for servicing the fireplace and keeping the dryer vent cleaned if it needs it.

The workman was on time and came prepared to do his job. He used a tarp to protect the carpet in my living room and spent some time both inside and outside the house.
