Keller Williams used to be my agency of choice, as Jan Osborn had done an excellent job for me a few years ago on the sale of 2 properties. How things have changed. I've decided to sell all my rental property and my home, and had nothing but bad luck even getting them listed with Keller Williams. First I called Jan Osborn, she told me she was phasing out of Real Estate. She recommended I use Terry McAvoy. However, I've known Johnny Taylor a long time, and gave him a call. He was 2 hours late to our first meeting, at the rent houses, and didn't even show up for a second scheduled appointment that evening to look at my personal residence. After a few days of not hearing from him, I e-mailed him asking if he was still interested in selling my real estate. After his reply about how great and ethical he was and that he was the number one Realtor in Amarillo, I decided not to use him, as a great Realtor with ethics keeps appointments, or at least calls. I then called Terry McAvoy, who met me at the rental houses, actually on time. She was going to check on possibly putting them on an online auction Keller Williams was starting up, and never got back to me. I called her office a few days later, and left a message for her to call me. I have never received a return call. I then did my homework and decided to use Caldwell Bankers, First Equity Realtors. I've been very pleased with them. And that comes to the next part of my complaint. Penny Glover, with Keller Williams found a buyer for one of my rental properties. She did not stay on top of things, and the closing was a week late, due to her incompetence. She did not check to see that everything required was done. The few days before the original closing day, my realtor checked, and found that the survey had never been ordered, and several other things were not done, which ended up delaying the closing. Then, Penny never showed up at the closing with her first time home buyer, a young single mom. Which I thought wasn't right. She should have been there to explain to her buyer what everything was. My agent was with me, and I've been through a dozen or more closings. My next property also sold through a Keller Williams agents, Pamela Madore. This was supposed to be an all cash sale, which means the buyer brings cash, or certified funds to closing. Apparently Pamela didn't inform her buyer of this, or didn't know herself, as I did not get my funds until 3 days after closing. And Pamela was not on top of this delay, and was not returning calls from or updating my agent as to when funds would be available. Apparently Wells Fargo had a hold on the funds. My agent called Wells Fargo and pushed things through. Once again, my agent was doing Keller Williams' agents job.
