Description of Work: Removed and replaced tile floor. Job is OK except there is a corner of one tile protruding up in the main traffic pattern. Some grout will have to be redone because of air bubble holes appearing in grout. Removed and replaced countertop with granite countertop. Product was inferior and workmanship was inferior. The edges beneath the laminate edges of the granite were rough and jagged in places. Surface of granite was not polished thoroughly. It had some pits in the granite. Countertop was not secured well to the cabinets with adhesive, clamps, etc. Removed and replaced backsplash behind countertop. Wall was textured prior to applying backsplash leaving tile in backsplash uneven and irregular. Backsplash was unfinished under corners of cabinets as well as on the ends of the tile leaving unfinished appearance. Light and electrical outlet switchplates were left uneven with holes in tile around them. Installers used grout instead of waterproof caulk between the backsplash and countertops. Repainted kitchen walls and ceiling unnecessarily and used darker color making kitchen too dark. Some nail holes left unfilled in cabinets and new door facing and other nail holes filled with wrong color of wood putty. Blonde putty instead of walnut wood putty. New door facing has long vertical crack in wood at the top left. Crown molding left inadequate to cover ceiling where soffit had previously covered. Never provided detailed contract or invoice and never provided a receipt for finished job. Countertops. backsplash and kitchen walls and ceiling paint had to be done over by a second contractor.
