We thought something was broken under our kitchen sink, but when the plumber arrived, he noticed that a simple clamp was out of place and offered to just put it back instead of replacing the entire assembly. He could have taken advantage of us, but was honest. We asked to have the faucet replaced in any case because we had already purchased a new one. This company has never overcharged us and has gone to great lengths to get all this old plumbing in topnotch condition. We wouldn't call anyone else. And the plumber is very comfortable with all our pups.
Description of Work: This was not the first time that Joe the Plumber has provided services for us. But this time, a kitchen faucet was replaced.

Called Joe and asked for an estimate. He said just email him pictures of where I wanted the work done & he would give me an estimate. I did that. His response was: "Prob can do both of them around $600, maybe a little less." The morning they were supposed to come, Joe called and asked if they could come that afternoon instead of morning. I said yes. They came that afternoon, got the work done upstairs, but when they were hooking up the plumbing in the laundry room, they ran into a problem. A PVC pipe broke off below the concrete, so they would have to bust up the concrete to get to it. James, (employee of Joe's Plumbing) said the pipe was either brittle or maybe had a crack in it already and that's why it broke. No mention of it perhaps being human error. And granted it could have been either of the two reasons he mentions, but it could have been human error too. Either way, I know accidents happen, so I'm OK as long as they fix it. They left it for the weekend since it was late Friday by this time, and came back Monday morning. James did a good job of fixing the pipe, but he didn't even attempt to fill in the concrete hole. He just said he was finished and it was our responsibility to fill the hole with concrete and replace the tile because 'accidents happen.' He wrote up my bill and gave it to me. It was for $750. I did buy a couple of extra parts that totaled around $30, so he actually charged me $120 over his estimate. I felt that he should have filled back in the concrete and replaced the tile, or if not, at least give me a discount to have it fixed myself. I felt what he did was very unprofessional. I sent a text to Joe a couple of days later explaining what I thought about it all (in a nice way). I never heard back from Joe.

Overall, I was very pleased with the work and professionalism. I will definitely use them for any future plumbing needs.
Description of Work: Our hot water heater sprung a leak while my husband was out of town. They came out right away and took care of the problem. They explained the difference in brands of water heaters and then promptly installed the one I chose. The job was done professionally and neatly. Later , I had them return and install a new toilet in our guest room bath. I was very pleased with the service at that time as well.

The guys that I worked with (2 initially), 2 ongoing at the jobsite and Joe himself were all wonderful. They came out after hours, returned exactly when they said that they would. They kept me informed at each step in the process. They provided quotes and advice of when to contact my insurance. They took pictures of each step in the location and repair process. It took about 1.5 days to get the problem fixed but they ensured that I had water to the rest of the house except during the time of the actual repair. I would recommend them to anyone, anytime. They were friendly, honest and fantastic to work with.
Description of Work: I called Joe at 6 PM and 2 of his guys came out immediately. They spent an hour looking for the leak (in attic, outside, inside and in sprinkler). There was no charge. After they determined that the leak was a seep not a flood, they returned at 9:00 the next morning. They investigated the walls and had to break into the cement foundation to locate the leak. They repaired the leak and fixed the hole in the cement slab.

The plumber who came out was very professional and courteous. He had to come back 2x to fix a leak but he did fix the problem. It was the Officer manager and the owner that were so rude and arrogant. We contacted them to have the plumber return they got upset and very rude stating they had not been out here ever. When we insisted that they had been and did plumbing for an install; instead of them stating they would check to see who had been out here and have him come back the office manager got very rude and then the owner called back cussing and was very rude. They finally found that indeed they had been to our house and did some work after we told them the name of the plumber. The plumber returned and appologized and fixed the problem.

Complete theft. The worker arrived 20 minutes late, I showed him what needed fixed and he stated it would take an hour or less at $89/hr. Seemed like a nice guy. I told him I had to return to work but the wife would write him a check when he was done. After I left the guy then went into "drive up the bill" mode. He took 2 hours to do a ten minute job. He even stayed on the clock to go get a part and billed for the 20 minutes he was late. When he went to put his tools away, he was gone so long my wife thought he left. He then produced a bill for $195. My wife tried to call me, but couldn't get through, so she wrote him a check. When I talked to her she was upset and she felt like the person had taken advantage of her lack of plumbing knowledge. I called their office and was told the owner would call me, but he never did. I tried to put a stop payment on the check, but they had already cashed it. The guy literally ran to the bank! The check was written at about 11:35 AM and was cashed at 12:02PM!!! They over billed in the extreme. They are shameless. Do not use them.
