Hartman Roofing

I am very happy with the excellent job Hartman Roofing did on my roof. Colton took care of everything and explained what all would be done. He worked closely with my insurance company. He brought shingles to my home for me to choose from and was always happy to answer my questions. There were several employees that came in teams to get the job done. A team of roofers, of course, a team checking the hot water heater and the vents and they installed a carbon monoxide alarm inside my home. I bought gutters and covers and am impressed with how nice they look. I have never seen any company start a job and finish it with such organization. They made sure my lawn did not have any trash or nails left in it. They went over my lawn several times to check for nails. Everyone was friendly and polite. They treated me with such respect. I highly recommend Colton and Hartman Roofing for going above and beyond taking care of my roof! I give Hartman and their employees an A+ for a job well done!

The whole experience went very well. The installer was punctual, professional and very polite. The salesman came by the house several times to speak with us before the installation. We had been out of town when a horrible snow storm had hit Amarillo. I had left my flag hanging and the weight of the snow and ice had broken the pole I had it on. He stopped and put it on the porch so it was no longer laying on the ground. I feel that was above and beyond his duty and I truly appreciated that.

On July 8, 2015, I contacted Hartman's Roofing because my roof had to be replaced. I was quite nervous about having it done as I was a new widow with no insurance and very little money. On July 9, a Hartman contractor contacted me and quoted a price of $14,127.50 to which I agreed and signed the contract. On July 10, the contractor returned with a color chart. I chose the black color. The following week, the carpenters came and put new decking on the garage and built a wall to replace the cinder block wall that collapsed when they were removing the old roofing materials. The roofing crew arrived at 9am on August 24. After they had removed the old shingles I asked one of them what color shingles had been ordered and was told "green". The reason I asked was because a few years earlier, the wrong color shingles were put on my elderly mother's roof and I just wanted to double check. Sure am glad I did. The mistake was fixed the next day. The roof was finished in ten days. It took longer because part of the roof was pitch and part of it was flat and different materials were used on both. I can't compliment Dennis Wiebe, the contractor, the carpenters and the roofers enough. All of them were very respectful and polite and did an extraordinary job.

The original job went well and the roofers worked well. the work was done right.

They were very good and professional. They were there when they said they would be and fixed any issues when the work was over.

He let me know that it was a mistake that the builder did when building the house. That there was 10 year warranty on the roof in the state of Texas. He advised me to contact the builder. The builder did come out and he is taking care of it. This saved me around $700. I was very impressed with his honesty.

Contract signed in June, took about 10 weeks for my appointment to arrive (but everyone in the area were getting new roofs and the roofing companies were super busy). I was not told what day it would start on, found out by someone ringing my doorbell about 12p saying in broken English that the guys were on their way. Crew arrived about 1-1:30p. Worked until dark 8:30ish, and only finished the house roof. Had to come back to do shed the next day. Arrived early am and was done by lunch. I also had 2 windows on shed that needed repair. I had to call the sales guy and remind him that the windows needed to be done, he said yeah he knew and would be over to take them off. He took them to and quot;the shopand quot; for repair and a week or two later I came home from work with the window screens back on the window. They were not replaced, but banged the dents outward to make it look like it was fixed. There are still dents in the metal frame of the window screens. I paid them their $8500 from my insurance claim. However I am still waiting to have the representative / sales guy come, his and quot;dadand quot; had called me a couple times because they have to install a carbon monoxide detector (battery operated, not plug-in like I have) for city inspection. I told them I would be out of town for work for several weeks and gave them the date I would return. I got a call from city inspector while I was out of town asking when I can meet him at my home that day to finish the inspection. I informed inspector that I was out of town on business and Hartman knew about this, and apparently did not care and set up an appointment with city inspector without consulting me and confirming date/time with me proior to the scheduling. Now that was early March, we are now April 1st and I have left 2 or 3 messages on Hartmans voicemail asking for someone to contact me about getting the carbon monoxide detector installed and then could set up inspection. No return calls or anything. I was under the impression that hartmans was a good company - local company which was important. I am not impressed. Especially when they left after both roofing jobs they left their trash, roofing nails, plastic, cut shingles in my backyard. I had to clean up after them, and not let my dogs out without me for several days until I could be sure it was safe in the backyard. Roofs were done in August, I am still finding roofing nails and slivers of shingles on the ground. Just frustrated.

I contacted Hartman repeatedly over a 5 week period. They made two appointments and did not show up for either. I was given the same explanation every time I called: and quot;That doesn't sound like Kirbyand quot; and they then told me he would call me back. Over the 5 weeks, he never returned my call. I will be contacting another roofer.

It took 4 days, but they had to replace part of the decking and I believe that was difficult.

First of all, they severly damaged our garage door opener and concrete drive way while they were fixing our roof. When we pay, we claimed the staff and he promised us to fix right away but they never returned. They did not show up for estimation or contract time on schedule only when they get paid they came on time!!!!! The quality or work is horrible
