Our gas wall heater went out Tuesday morning, when it was 8 degrees outside. We called our landlord, who said they would take care of it that day and someone would be there by 1 pm. At 3:15, a technician came out, looked at the heater and said, "Yep, it needs to be replaced." Wednesday morning, the landlord called and said the repairman would be there either that afternoon or Thursday morning. My husband stayed home Thursday morning, I stayed home Thursday afternoon, my husband stayed home Friday morning, and at noon I called the landlord and reported that no one had shown up. He called Guy' s, who said someone would definitely be there that afternoon. At 4:20, the landlord called and said the repairmen were stuck on a job in another town, and would definitely be there at 9 am Saturday. Lo and behold, they did show up. They worked until around 3 pm and installed the heater, after frying the neighbor's big screen by turning off the power to the entire duplex. They left the old heater in the yard, left a huge hole in the wall where the new heater is smaller than the old, and didn't replace trim that they.
