Everything went well, I just did not like the price I was charged for the labor. I asked the technician for the price of the motor and he did not give it to me. This is when I knew something was off. After the tech left I looked at the label of the motor and looked up the price. For that brand of motor the cost on the high end is $130. So I was charged $99 for the visit and $688.60 for the motor. So, if you do the math I was charged $558 for 45 minutes worth of work. Will never use them again.

They have been excellent and I would highly recommend them.

I had used them before for a spring tune-up and they came out and fixed it and I was good to go. I would use them again in the future.

GREAT ! The 3 man crew was professional in all aspects. They were on time as scheduled, well gromed and very friendly. They worked together very effeciently. It was obvious that they knew what they were doing. They had their own vaccum cleaner that was used whenever needed. They left the house cleaner than when they started.

The tech arrived, laid out what he was going to do, had his own vacuum cleaner, cleaned up all around the unit, took the panels down to assess the components, got his meters out to verify operation and timed the switching and operation of the vital components making sure they worked as designed. I had a question about one valve that seemed to be not working properly and he checked it over and assured me it was working but might need to be addressed again either to be upgraded or changed out for optimum use. He gave me the detailed summary of parts and labor to do that but said it wasn't a priority now. All that took 2 hours.

Very polite and knowledgeable young man. He is a credit to his employer, and I will ask for him when/if I need to call them back.!

It is unfair to rate a service on the standards provided. In talking about Gary's you have to talk about home town service, classy team, integrity, honor, trustworthy, honest, reliable, cost-efficient, great programs to save on future costs, excellent expertise and the list goes on. This might sound high but I work in health care construction and deal with contractors - he is on top. There is no other service, they are a class into themselves and one above all else. Don't look any further than Gary's.

I need a new heat pump and an extra ventilation return in my residence. They quoted about $5400. They were VERY reluctant to provide information about exactly what unit they intended to install. Suspicious, I shopped around. I am having the entire job done for $3500. On the return duct alone they quoted $1,169. The firm I am going with (16 fine reviews on Angie's List) said that was a $250 job.

I have a contract with them and I like them a lot. They’re very efficient and knowledgeable.

Poorly... he wanted to charge me over $800, $100 per pound, for Freon. I got it done for under $200 elsewhere.

It went great we have a contract with them to service our unit. They are very professional, thorough, and very knowledgable.

Went great. They worked us into a very busy schedule, came on time and stayed until the job was done (approximately 8:30 p.m.)

The gentleman who came out the following day was very knowledgeable and explained everything to me as well as answered my questions. The problem came when he called with a quote of between $17,000-22,000 to replace the unit and do some ductwork. After shopping around, i found that this appeared to be an inflated price. I had another company come out. After an inspection, they discovered that all I needed was a new compressor and had the job completed in one afternoon for less than $2000.

After reviewing many heating/cooling companies on Angie's List, we settled on Gary's. I called and made an appointment for a detailed inspection and service of our A/C system. We had the house inspected prior to our purchase but wanted to make sure all was good with the system by a qualified A/C technician. After moving in, we called Gary's for a further inspection and service of our A/C. We were scheduled for 0930-1200. The office manager kept us informed as to when the tech would be here. He arrived on time, clean uniform, very polite, etc. We explained what and why we wanted. He went to work, keeping us informed of the process, etc. Our tech, Brandon (a former Marine) was exceptional. Not only did he keep us informed, he recommended several minor items which he inspected/repaired at no charge to us. All in all, the service was truly exceptional. There was no pressure to buy this or that, etc. We are extremely happy with Gary's service and with our servicing technician, Brandon. When our work was completed, Brandon gave us check sheet of his discoveries and corrections. Gary's offers a membership plan which includes maintenance inspections, discounts on repairs, priority service scheduling, etc. For us, this is a very good deal which we signed up for. Gary's is truly a class act. Will definitely be using them on a full time basis as needed.

After calling several places on the biggest blizzard day in Amarillo because our heater was not working, and me in a panic because the temperatures were falling, I finally selected Gary's fully expecting to be told that they were unable to come out because the blizzard had shut down Amarillo and they had no four wheel drive vehicles. Well to my surprise they answered the phone with enthusiasm and did not hesitate to say they would be out as soon as they could. An hour later, after getting stuck a block from our house they were at the door to help. The issue could not be resolved that day because a part had to be found but they said they would get right on it and would call when a part was located. They offered to bring in more heaters and even firewood if we needed it but we were covered. With the conditions so bad in town it was two days before a part could be found but the minute it was available they were back out to fix the problem. A problem that was partly caused by the wrong part being used in a prior repair by the previous homeowners and the wretched wind that was creating drafts and condensation in our attic. These guys were great! They were hospitable, kind and caring, professional and truly there to see to the public's needs and well prepared to do so. I would absolutely recommend Gary's and would use them again and again! Thanks to Gary's for being prepared for anything, even record blizzard conditions and sending help when I had little hope of finding someone. You rock!!!

We have not gotten the work done yet; we were told to get 2 more estimates.

The service man was very thorough with the inspection, and provided me with a copy of his report. After reading it over. I called and talked to Gary. I requested that they order the parts needed and install them. After the parts were ordered, the service man returned and installed them. I was pleased with their work.

When AC quit working I called several companies. Over the phone Gary's sounded straightforward and professional. . . and they were. They were NOT the least expensive but VERY prompt, thorough, and professional. There was no doubt the technician traced the problem accurately and fixed it. He also warned (and showed) me about possible issues that could arise and, he was patient in answering all my questions.

A/C stopped working. Very pleased with Gary's pricing and work. In and out squickly with good clean up.

I was pleased with the service and will use the company again. The service man was polite and seemed to know what he was doing.

Very professional. They have sophisticated equipment such as cameras that can see inside the furnace to be able to see any problems and they did a very thorough job. They have a plan where we pay $12.95 per month and that covers two inspections and maintenance per year which makes it easier to budget. Also you don't have to worry about getting someone to look at your furnace each time or keep track of when the maintenance should be done. They will call you to work out a convenient time to do the service. You also get a discount on any needed work. I feel very confidant that they will find any defects before they cause the system to quit when the weather is extreme. I have very low heating and cooling bills because the system is always in very good repair.

Showed up on time. Checked the air conditioning unit. Everything ok. I paid them and they left.

LOVELY!Francisco was so professional and considerate. He was definitely qualified and new his stuff. He found so many things in our system that contribute to system failures that many many many previous technicians from other companies never said a thing about. He found out that our return air duct had collapsed which is HUGE and accounts for a major system change in our home. He was very thorough in his analysis and I will request him and this company anytime I have HVAC service done now!
