The entire crew was prompt and polite. They worked hard and were careful about not messing up the rest of the house. They kept us fully informed about their progress and told us in advance when we would have to stay outside the house overnight. The work is absolutely stunning! Besides working on the floor, they put down new trim and painted the existing trim. I cannot rave enough about what great people they are and what a good job they did! I wish I had more concrete that I could get them to come & make beautiful!
Description of Work: Removed existing flooring (carpet and tile). Ground the concrete and then stained and applied epoxy.

The price was slightly higher than a another bid for staining, but their presentation of ideas, discussions of how different techniques, and and Ipad display of completed projects sold me on their ability. The project started on time and had a few weather delays and a couple of days when the project schedule conflicted with their firemen duties. These were expected. Was easy to contact them by phone and e-mail, so no problem. The wheelchair transition works great, the overall project looks good, but a problem with the overlay puddling caused some unexpected color variations. A little attention here by them or us - if they had asked - would have eliminated this. Also there is a slight color flaw from the machine that washed off the etching material. When noticed the machine problem, they switched techniques, but the color change was already "set."They added a brick border look and did some minor carpentry for me while waiting for the product to cure. This was above and beyond what was contracted. During the process, they did not properly protect some existing unsealed cedar trim, which resulted in dark spots on the wood where the etching material soaked in. Within 2 weeks after we started using the patio, the overlay began crumbling off the concrete at the existing seams. I expected the overlay to crack along the seams, but not crumble off the sides of the seams. Since 2 weeks after construction completion, I have sent 2 e-mails and left over 7 voice messages for the contractor and never received a response. I called the material vendor to see if the contractor was still in business and explained my problem. He was surprised about the crumbling and said he would try to contact the contractor, but have heard nothing in over 3 weeks. We love the look except for the crumbling, the splotches, and the stained cedar. Can't believe the contractor will not even return calls or try to resolve the problem.
Description of Work: Remove outdoor carpeting glued down in our screened in patio; clean exiting concrete, which included 2 seams between concrete of 2 different ages, install overlay onto the concrete, engrave the new overlay to look like flagstone, and apply sealer to the new overlay. Also build up a small transition for wheelchair access from existing concrete level to existing threshold.
