At the time everything was satisfactory. My next job with them was the winter of 2014. When I saw the bathroom counter top installed, I realized that I had made a big mistake in color choice. (I was not at home when it was delivered and installed but my son was.) This was entirely my fault. I should have taken a tile with me to pick it out or brought a sample of the counter top home with me. I, again, visited the showroom in Amarillo with my daughter and this time I was given a sample to take home. I called them with my decision on the replacement counter top. At this point, all was my fault. The second counter top was delivered. My son had said that he could install it to save me a little money. As he started to install it, he found that it was the wrong size. It was too deep. We called Gary at their showroom/office and he wanted to argue with me. My son took over the conversation at that point and Gary conceded the fight. He even agreed to have the third counter top delivered after my son told him that I should not have to pick it up. My son did install this third counter top. Everything worked out well with that counter top. They did not even want the wrong size counter top back. Now, I am having issues with a seam in the kitchen counter top. A little bit of color is gone from the seam area and it is separating in the same area. I realize that this laminate counter top is not as durable as a more expensive product. I have NEVER cut on it with a knife or placed anything hot on it. I even have a certain hot pad that I use when I pull things out of the micro wave. I always use a cutting board. Anytime the counter top seam gets wet, I always immediately dry it off with a towel. I realize that the warranty period is up. I actually talked to Gary one time and he gave me a very vague answer about what I could do to repair the problem. He did not offer to sell me a specific product that would camouflage the problem. I really want him to come by (when he is in town) and look at the seam and tell me what to do. I live probably 90 miles from the place of business. I have called twice in the past several months and he will not even return my call. This is very unprofessional. I just want to at least talk to him. It would be nice if he would come by my house. Like I said, I am not asking him to make a special trip. They do counter top work in Dalhart pretty often, as far as I can tell.
