The owner was very helpful in picking out the best tile for the job and showed us several samples in his store for us to take home and compare them next to the counter top and paint colors we were considering. Overall, the tile job looks very good. The job was almost finished in two days. The first day the tiles were installed, the second day the grout was applied. After waiting a month for the covers to come in, I called to ask about them finishing the job. The owner replied, "We were wondering who the covers that had been here for a couple of weeks belonged to and were glad we called them." I asked when they could finish the job and he said when the installation crew had a few minutes of free time, they would fit us in, but could not give us a definite time. Another month went by and I called again to ask about the job being finished. Still got no definite time and the owner was getting tired of me calling. Finally, after a couple more weeks, an installer showed up without notice and was ready to the finish the installation. When he was ready to leave, I asked him about the one outlet and light switch that weren't covered. He replied, "The light switch cover and one outlet cover hadn't come in yet." Finally in December, I called one last time to see about them finishing the job and got another run-around. I finally went to Lowe's and purchased a couple of covers that matched fairly well to the other covers. The owner is eager to get the work and is very friendly and helpful on picking out the right tiles, but do not let them start the job unless they have all the materials to finish the job. Since they already have been paid, they don't care about whether the job is finished or not. When you call them, it is like you are being an annoyance to them and they will contact you when it is convenient to them.
Description of Work: Installed 6X6 tumble stone and slate stone for a kitchen backsplash. The company provided a quick, competitive bid and appeared eager to do the job. They showed up on time to start the work and almost completed it without a hitch. They didn't order enough electrical outlet covers or light switch covers that match the tiles for the backsplash. The installer told me he would let the owner know how many to order and it should take about a week for them to come in. When I went to get the mail later that day, I saw where the tile cutter had dumped the cooling water for the tile saw on our sidewalk leading up to the house and now the concete will be stained for years as it already had dried.
