Honeybee Removal without hurting the bees. All colonies are hived at my home apiary and go on to a farm or another apiary. Cost is determined by the job. Most easy home removal is from 120.00-300.00 max for two story jobs. If 2 beekeepers are required (difficult 2 story) 400.00-500.00 is possiblem Minimum damage to building is my main concern, and repair servies in a prompt manner are available through K&S contruction. You are welcome to watch me work, and keep all of your honey. See the blog on my website to see the CURRENT proof that I do what I say, bees are important to the welfare of all of us, help me preserve them for future generations.I never kill bees, if they are african hybrid and too mean to keep on a farm they are re-queened with Russian stock I keep at my apiaries.I also tell you how to prevent reinfestation, this is very important. Thank you for caring-Jennifer Scott

Great! Jennifer and her son were amazing! Explained everything to me. It was fascinating! I would highly recommend her. And her price was extremely reasonable.
Description of Work: I had bees in the side of my house. I had already had another service out a few months before. I didn't know what to expect or what should be done to eradicate the bee problem but months later, we still had bees. I saw the reviews for Bee Wrangler and called her. Jennifer is amazing! She knew what type of bees were in there and exactly what needed to be done. She didn't just pull out the dead hive, she and her son cleaned it out so it could be treated so bees wouldn't come back.

Description of Work: We had bees in the front and roof of our two-story building. Someone else came out to remove to the bees and the bees continued to come back. Jennifer the owner came out she made sure the queen was removed and took her back to her farm. She removed all of the bees and removed most of the honey as well. Jennifer also recommended a handyman Kelly who came and sealed all the gaps around the house. We have not seen the bees since.I also think Jennifer's charge is very reasonable.

Description of Work: Came to remove a bee nest in a tree on a windy stormy day. She determined nest went deep into the tree and she did not have the equipment with her to do it that day. Didn't charge me for the work, but why I do have it finally removed will surely contact her again.

We discovered bees going into the back of our house, and were concerned to have them removed by someone who would relocate and not kill them. We contacted Jennifer Scott based on her website and on reviews on this site. She worked very hard, was most pleasant and informative, and watching her work was fascinating. We learned so much about bees. She had to cut a small area (about 3 square feet) from our back wall, and did it so carefully that my husband was able to put the original planks back in place when he repaired it. She got all the bees out (with a big vacuum! Marvelous to watch), showed us that she had captured the queens from both swarms, and collected the honey for us. She told my husband exactly what to do (what kind of paint to use, etc.) to keep the bees from being attracted to the same area and trying to get back in. Her charges were extremely reasonable for the work that she did. I hope we never get bees in the wall again, but if we ever do, Jennifer Scott is the only one I'll call.
Description of Work: She removed a swarm of bees from the back of our house, and then captured a second swarm that happened to come into our yard while she was there!

Jennifer was absolutely awesome. In my pursuit to locate someone to remove and relocate the bees I found that the few that actually returned my calls or answered my emails were not interested in saving the bees. Once they discovered they were in the tree all they wanted to do was exterminate. Almost all advertise and tout how they are and quot;proand quot; bee, but I found that what they actually want is a quick and easy job. This includes most on Angie's List. The exception is The Bee Wrangler (Jennifer). Jennifer arrived on the morning scheduled and was able to capture the colony and the queen at a price less than the and quot;exterminatorsand quot;. Let me add that this was not an easy job and she did as advertised. As a bonus we got a good bee education and a significant amount of fresh honey. Thanks Jennifer.
Description of Work: Jennifer safely removed and relocated a very large honey bee colony and comb from a tree branch.

Jennifer Scott, the hands-on owner of Bee Wrangler, was absolutely INCREDIBLE, AMAZINGLY PROFESSIONAL, EFFICIENT, CARING, PERSONABLE, AND LOVELY. She obviously loves bees, and doesn't even have to protect her hands from them. I am not easily impressed, but I was beyond impressed with Jennifer, the Bee Wrangler. She is definitely one amazing lady. Someone has to do A+ work to impress me. Jennifer’s performance and expertise were both beyond A+. I rate her A+++++!! It's extremely rare to find someone who is so exceptionally professional, excellent, honest, as well as so very fair in their pricing!! Jennifer had quoted $300 when I spoke with her on the phone, then charged me only $250 because she said the hive was new with only about 5,000 bees, and easier and quicker to access and remove than she had expected. Jennifer’s demeanor, expertise, and price were in extreme contrast to Ronald Wayne Cox with Adkins Bee Removal service that had come out earlier the same day to look at my situation and tried to pressure my husband and me into signing a contract for $846 to $1,200. Furthermore, he wanted to cut into our irreplaceable clear heart Redwood fascia board to access the bee nest rather than cutting the sheetrock ceiling from inside the house as we wanted to do to save the redwood. He also refused to tell us what he was going to do for all of that money. He said that cutting the sheetrock inside would make a huge mess. Guess he must not know how to do it properly, as Jennifer made no mess at all! Over the weekend, I had searched Angie’s list and then the Internet for a beekeeper who could remove a honeybee nest and the bees from my home without harming the bees and then take them to an apiary. The first person to respond to me was Ron with Adkins Bee Removal. He called me multiple times, and then came to our home to look at the job on Monday morning. However, he tried to pressure us into signing his contract agreeing to pay him an outrageous price. When I informed him that I was not comfortable with his proposal, he insisted on our paying him $75 in cash for his trip charge. He said he couldn’t take credit cards OR a check. Now I see why. I just looked at the Adkins Bee Removal Website…. and it says FREE ESTIMATES! I tried to reach the national company to alert them, but I found no way to get a human voice. The website asks for one’s zip code, then the call is forwarded to the person in your area, which in this case is Ron! Ron came in an unmarked truck, arrived with one other man accompanying him, then called two more to come to help with the job which he thought he was going to get from us. He was intimidating, pressuring, and totally unprofessional and suspicious. I discovered his phone number isn’t listed with the Better Business Bureau or Angie's List. When I asked why his phone number wasn’t listed with the BBB he said that the phone number was his cell phone and that the 800 number I had called was a national company of which he was contractor who worked out of his home. I just now looked at the Adkins Bee Removal website, and they advertise FREE estimates at absolutely no charge. So, Ron with Adkins Bee Removal is also dishonest in charging us $75 for coming and giving us an estimate!!! At least my husband had him sign a receipt saying he had been paid in cash. Thank goodness, Jennifer with the Bee Wrangler, happened to return my call while I was trying to escape from Ron’s intimidating pressure. Amazingly, she was able to come out here that same afternoon and said that her price would not exceed $300. In sharp contrast to my experience with Adkins Bee Removal, Jennifer with the Bee Wrangler Company arrived alone, did her work alone, and was not intrusive, pushy or intimidating as was Ron with Adkins Bee Removal. Ron had also said he couldn't guarantee he wouldn't kill the bees. In contrast, Jennifer loves the bees, understands their behavior, retrieves all of them, and doesn't kill them. I would definitely recommend Jennifer, the Bee Wrangler to friends and family and definitely use her in the future if I ever have bees again! She even stayed about an hour after finishing in order to allow time for those bees which were out scouting for nectar to return to their queen and the rest of the bees (which Jennifer by then had in a bee cage sitting on my roof near the entrance where their nest had been so that the other bees could easily find their queen and hive). By the way, you can see a fascinating video of Jennifer’s work on UTube at JenniferJoScott2Bee. Dana Solomon Meyerland, Houston, Texas
Description of Work: Jennifer very quickly, neatly, efficiently, and professionally put up plastic sheeting from my 10' high ceiling down to the floor in a 4' x 6' corner of our Master Bedroom, then very neatly cut out an 18" x 24' square of sheetrock from the ceiling behind which the bee hive was located, vacuumed out the bees, put them in a cage to take them back to her apiary, talked to the bees the entire time, then even caulked the opening between the entire exterior 30 feet of fascia so that the bees could not reenter. She even took the time to show us the Queen bee and explained how important it was to capture the Queen, as all of the bees will follow her. She even pointed out to us how one of the other bees was feeding the Queen bee! What an interesting and educational experience! Jennifer educated us on how to prevent reoccurrence, instructing us to spray Rust Oleum Leak Seal on all sides and surfaces of the interior of the ceiling rafters where the bees had been as well as on the outside where they had entered the house, then to refill the empty spaces with fiberglass insulation packed very fully so that the bees would have absolutely no room to enter or to hang a honeycomb again. She explained that the Leak Seal covers the scent of the pheromone (an ingredient in propolis from the tree sap which the bees gather to line their nest); otherwise bees would return to the familiar pheromone smell.

Everything was fine. All went well. Jenny is a pro.
Description of Work: Opened up siding near second story dormer window. Carefully removed hives, making sure she got the queen bee. Cleaned up the interior space as much as possible. Gave us some of the honey before taking hives to her place in Alvin. Left space open to neighborhood bees who came and took all remaining traces of honey from the space. This step is essential so new bee colonies don't keep coming to your house to make new hives. Two weeks later, someone she recommended came and did carpentry work and painting to restore the area to it's original condition. Jenny is the best. Highly recommend her.

My phone conversation with this company left me with a bit frustrated. Even though they had not seen my bee problem, I was immediately told that I was likely going to need major contractor work to remove the hive. I tried to explain that I was confident this was a brand new arrival and I was certain they had just arrived, I was told I would need to have the hive cut out. This was consistent with other bee people I talked to - they all just seemed to conclude that it was going to be major dollars to get the bees out of the house. I am a very capable do it your selfer, and even have some experience in raising bees, and was able to drive them out myself through the use of some household garden insecticide, followed by a treatment from my normal bug guy. So, I think my major criticism here is it seems this business needs to be more proactive about seeing the situation before they jump to conclusions.

Jennifer is fantastic. I had an emergency situation where I learned about a small swarm on my property after the city was notified. The next day (a Saturday) the City of Houston told me that they would come on Monday to bomb the bees. The last thing I wanted was to have the bees killed but I didn't think I could have them removed in less than 48 hours. Jennifer responded quickly and came out on a holiday Sunday to remove the bees. She explained everything she did and the steps she would follow once she got the bees back to her place in Alvin. She even told me what to do to make the area less attractive to bees in the future. I know the bees are happy with Jennifer. I made the right call.

Description of Work: We had a bee problem and knew it was probably going to be a large hive. I got Ms. Scott off Angie's List (my first time using Angie), I contacted her and made an appointment. She was on time and absolutely wonderful to deal with. She was very careful with our home and the removal of the hives - turned out to be approxmately 40,000 bees!! She was able to save the queen and remove all of the bees. She offered us some of the honey but we declined. It could have been a horrible experience for us but my husband was home with her during the whole ordeal and watched the whole thing and enjoyed the education he received from her. I would recommend her to anyone!

she was very nice. let my boy help after they suited up and with permission. she worked alone and did a great job. very personable. it took her about 4/5 hours to rid the room of bees. she came and unloaded by herself and loaded back up her gear by herself. she explained the how and what she was going to do and i would never call anyone else for help with bees again. we have yet to see a bee back at the house.
Description of Work: we called the service that morning and explained the situation about bees taking over my parents house and they had a worker at the house that afternoon. the lady removing the bees did it very humanely. she captured them and took them to a farm to be bred for honey. she gave us the hives and even let us video the process so we could see how many bees where in the room and how she did it. very nice woman.

The bee removal went very well. The Bee Wranger knows what she is doing and is quick and thorough. I thought her fee was very reasonable and she is very personable and responsive. I recommend her.
Description of Work: The Bee Wranger removed a very very large beehive that was under the floor of our house, which is elevated. She cut into the board, removed all of the hive and bees and brought them back to her farm so they could live. It felt good to know that they were not killed since bees are in short supply in the U.S. She is knowledgable, honest and gave hints for preventing hives from re-occuring. She left some of the honey for us and took the rest to feed the hive as it re-settled in the new home. One thing, her outdated website states that removal and repairs will be made the same day, but that is not the case as her former "partner" is no longer with her. She normally tells you that on the phone but missed doing that when we spoke (just an oversight, not intentional, as we spoke hurridly). She contacted her former partner who came to survey the work and promised an estimate for repairs and other work, but he never called back. I recommend her highly but not her former partner. It's good to leave the hole open for about a week for other "neighbor" bees to clean out the remaining honey and phermones, but you should book a repairman to close it after that.

They showed up on time and were very friendly and professional. The neighbor's 5 year old grandson came over to watch and the technician was so kind and patient with him, explaining what he was doing as well as the importance of bees. It was like a personal little field trip for the neighbors grandson. He was fascinated. And everyone got some honey!

We had two hives of bees nested up outside of the back of our two story building. We didn't want to kill the bees so we called The Bee Wrangler. She had removed other bee hives for us before and we were very pleased with her professionalism and the fair price that she charged. As we expected, Jennifer did a great job again, even leaving a bit of the honey comb for me that I shared with some neighbors. We certainly don't want to have bees around again but if they show up, we'll call The Bee Wrangler.

I called the Bee Wrangler about removing a colony of honey bees from a tree in my front yard that was scheduled to be cut down. The Bee Wrangler showed up on time as promised and removed the honey bees without any problems. She even came back to complete the job when it became clear that there were bees still left in another part of the tree that we didn't know about. She did not charge me for the second trip.

Had roofers replacing the roof on my house. They discovered bees in one of the sofets and shut down on that portion of the roof. Contacted Jennifer and she gave me a phone quote of $200 and said that she could be there in about an hour. The bee problem was not as bad as the roofers had indicated but Jennifer safely extracted the small hive and bees to go pollinate somewhere else. She me that the job was smaller than she thought it would be and she only charged me $70 for the work. The roofers were able to finish the roofing project before the rain comes tomorrow!
