+ -1 moreI had back surgery and was unable to perform any kind of housecleaning duties. My husband called them and Mrs Lupe promptly came to give and estimate and then did the first initial cleaning. We decided to have them come weekly and they were always on time and did a great job. Mrs Lupe is very kind and caring. Not only did she care about making sure I was satisfied with the service I was getting but she also cared about me as a person. I would recommend L and J Janitorial to anyone. I even had them clean my mothers home and she was very satisfied.
Description of Work: They did basic house cleaning duties like cleaning kitchen, bathrooms, changing linens, vacuuming and mopping floors, etc.

+ -1 moreHere's the main issue overall: This company made an appt with me a week in advance of the agreed upon time. The day before, the owner calls, wants to reschedule, which did not work well for me, and then stated she would not make our appt due to having to clean and quot;anotherand quot; new customer. I just don't get it. And obviously, neither does this company.
Description of Work: Spoke with Lupe and shared with her our expectations of what we want in our home. Through this conversation, we also discussed the theft issue which had taken place with a previous customer. I stated that I understood things happen and would be willing to have her come clean our home and go from there. This conversation took place on 14 May 2012. After our conversation, we agreed upon a clean date of 21 May at 1030 / 11 am that morning. On 20 May, Lupe calls me and states that she wanted to move our appointment to 0800 on 21 May, due to her long term customer canceling that same appt. I usually work from home on Mondays; however, I had already committed to an 0845 appt in the Katy area. I then explained my situation and stated that we had an appt at 1030 or 11 and that I expected her to keep that time. Lupe then explained that she had a new customer she wanted to take care of at 8 am and that she would not make her appointment with me. After hearing this, I again reiterated that I expected her to keep our appt, but again she stated she would not. I then indicated that I would share this experience and hung the phone up. It was obvious to me at that time, that perhaps the point of "professionalism" was not going to be received very well, so the conversation was pretty much over.

+ -1 moreLupe was very responsive and friendly. She returned messages by phone, email, or text within a few days. No call center - just her. She alerted me when she was on the way with her crew. She also called promptly to clarify directions when she got turned around and was still on site within minutes of the agreed time. She and her crew of 3 or 4 brought all their own supplies. She clarified my expectations on windows, the oven, and other things that some services may not clean (she and her crew did!!). They did a very thorough job and my new renters said they had never moved into a place that was so clean. I was very pleased. The hourly rate was very competitive, but there was a 4 hour minimum (also competitive, but I don't recall being told this up front).
Description of Work: Deep cleaning of empty rental house between renters. Included laminate, tile, and carpet, blinds, windows (inside and out) ceiling fans, bathrooms, kitchen (including oven) - everything.

+ -1 moreThank you Angies list for letting me find Lupe @ J and L. Before I hired them, she came over and we discussed what I needed/wanted and she explained the services provided. Set a date, and they showed up on time and went straight to work. Cleaned window seals, baseboards to walls and ceiling fans. Made up the beds, I had clean sheets laying on the beds...Each room was tackled and cleaned top to bottom.. in spare bedroom, where I had dried clean sheets, towels ... yep they even folded that up.I'm a widow and still have items hanging in closets and in drawers that I've just not been able to box and donate. You guessed it, Lupe told me they could help with that. I understood 4 hr min. and it was four ladies that come to clean. They finished in 3 hrs and I I wasn't charged for the extra hour! how awesome is that. All friendly and professional. I have found a service that I will be a repeat customer. After 1st clean which is higher the next visits are less. Another A+ for me at least. Thank you and your team, Lupe.. Awesome job match up.
