It went great did a great job.

He did not show up for the first appointment to quote the job. He did show up on the 2nd attempt, but never gave me the quote. He was a super nice guy and I hate to give him this low rating but he was unresponsive to numerous attempts to get a price quote.

Jose was able to make a seemless patch and match the texture of the surrounding drywall. His price was about $70 cheaper than the second quote.

I called J. Lopez Painting on the morning of Tuesday, April 21, and asked if someone could come to my home to give me quote on painting my kitchen cabinets and some sheet rock work. To my surprise, he told me he could come by in two hours (around 11 am). He arrived on time. I walked him to the kitchen to discuss the work I wanted done. Current kitchen condition/work needed: Need all kitchen cabinets and island painted (inside and out). Had all new custom cabinet doors and drawers built. (Raw wood, never been painted) Cabinet boxes are painted. Need wallpaper adhesive removed. Also need texture added to all kitchen (3) walls. Wall oven, built in microwave, countertops and backsplash have been removed. If needed we would have removed dishwasher and frig, they are going to be replaced with new appliances. He took a few notes asked me to write down my email address so that he could email me the quote. I asked when could I expect to receive the quote he said later that day or tomorrow morning. I did not receive the quote. I text him on Thursday, April 23, asking if he had the opportunity to put together a quote. No response as of Tuesday, May 5. If J. Lopez Painting was not interested in doing the work, they could have been courteous and professional enough to tell me that you do not want to do with work. It is a shame because the work in the kitchen was only the beginning of several renovations we are planning to do. Over the next few months we are planning renovations in other area of our house that we could have used J. Lopez Painting's help with. Oh well, on to the next company.

The guest bathroom required gutting of everything except the bathtub. The walls were prepped, textured, painted and the new vanity installed, along with the towel racks and a custom made bench. I love the attention to the fine details, such as caulking around gaps and around the light switch wall plates. This contractor takes pride in the work and you will be pleased with the results.

He did a great job. He was punctual, professional and quick to return my phone calls. Our walls look great. The texture is seamless. I would use him again.

He was very nice. He was ready to do the work too but he was a little bit higher than the guy that I decided to go with. He quoted me almost $300. I found his number and I called. I told him what I had and he gave me a rough estimate.

Joe was great. Really easy to contact, very responsive, willing to work around our schedules. All the work was done on time, without problems, and for the estimated price.

I contacted Mr Lopez to give me an estimate for painting the exterior of my house and replace some rotten siding. He was very pleasant and someone I thought I could work with. After three or four more estimates, I thought he was competitive so I contacted him by phone. No one home so I left a voice message for him to contact me. No return phone call. I also sent an email. No reply. It's hard to work with someone if they won't communicate.

During his estimate we discussed the work that was to be done, which included the walls, which was texturing and painting, the ceiling which was to remove true popcorn ceiling and retexture , primer and painting, and paint the woodwork in the hallway. I noticed it was not included in the actual contract. When I asked him about it, he denied that it was ever discussed and couldn't do it. I asked him to leave since he didn't seem to be honest about our conversation. He was unwilling to admit it was ever discussed. I am now using Next Door off your site which they are doing very well now.

Took 3 days to complete. Nice work performed.

J. Lopez Painting and Finishing arrived on time daily, and left 10 or so hours later. The crew totally cleaned up after themselves, and left the area cleaner than when they came in. They were very respectful of my home, my belongings, my pet and me. When it rained one day, they brought the dog into the house and then let him out again after the rain was over. I also was able to leave them alone daily because of hospital visits. They are very trustworthy. I wholeheartedly recommend J. Lopez Painting, and will use them again in the future.

I made many calls and left messages requesting an estimate for painting my garage. All but one time I got an answering machine and left a message. Only once did I get a return call, when I was busy. I returned this call and again requested a quote. No reply - this was my last call. The one time my call was answered I was told someone would likely be over shortly or call back - they did neither.

Manual and his crew showed up promptly every morning and finished the days tasks in a efficient, timely manner. I really appreciated his attention to details and his asking of key questions. The professional advise on color matches and offerings for textures that contrast with the shower tiles represented going above and beyond. The crew always left the job sight in a safe condition and cleaned up nicely.

We purchased a house that needed lots of work. We knocked out a wall and removed some cabinets, etc. Then we found out the previous painter (before we bought) had painted latex paint over oil base paint on all the wood in the house The only way to remedy this was to have ALL of the cabinets, doors and trim sanded down, primed, then repainted with oil base paint. This was a very messy task, that we tried to do on our own at first. Since J Lopez painting had done such a good job on the sheetrock repair, we called Manuel for an estimate. He took on the large task and performed all of the work professionally and we are so pleased with the results. His crew was very easy to work with and the final job looks wonderful.

For the bidding phase, just fine.

I set up all the appointments by phone with Ana, Manuel's wife. Ana also emailed me the estimate. When the estimate came back over my budget, Ana worked with me to bring it down to the figure I had in mind. Both she and her husband, Manuel, are extremely easy to work with. I was very happy that Ana was involved with the business transaction because I recently had been taken advantage of by a male contractor since I am having all this work done without my husband being present due to his work taking him out of town on long term assignments. I called J Lopez Painting after a terrible experience with another contractor who I had to let go. Manuel, owner of J Lopez, came out and gave me some ideas as to how we could get beyond the previous contractor's wallpaper removal botch job without having to completely remove the texture that he had applied over the existing wallpaper and latex paint. Manuel is also very knowledgeable about today's popular wall colors. I showed him my color swatches from Sherwin Williams and he assisted me with my color choices. Manuel and his crew of 2 worked steady for 6 days. All 3 of them are perfectionists who reminded me of old time craftsmen who truly enjoy their work and are very skilled at what they do. While J Lopez Painting was not the lowest bid, I am so very happy I went with him. His work is flawless. He is easy to work with and never has any type of attitude which I have witnessed in previous contractors if I questioned them or had different ideas from theirs. Even when I changed my mind about colors, etc., Manuel remained pleasant and professional at all times. His main goal seemed to be to please me, the customer. Very rare to find a contractor in today's world who understands that customer service and customer satisfaction is an important part of his job. I will be calling J Lopez again when I am ready to have the exterior of my home painted plus my kitchen cabinets. There is no one else who I would trust my kitchen cabinets with besides J Lopez.

They arrived as promised, worked efficiently and neatly and cleaned up completely after the work. They left a gallon of paint for future touch-up. The work was edged neatly. The color and texture is an excellent match for the existing paint. They spent much of their time prepairing seams. There is not a hint of a wallpaper seam in the finished job. They had previously painted my exterior woodwork with the same high quality. I would recommend Lopez for any houshold painting.

Manuel contacted me promptly after my service request. We set a date and time for him to review the work to be done and he arrived at the agreed upon time. He was very thorough in his evaluation and quoted what I felt was a reasonable price to perform the work. Manuel and his crew arrived on time the first day and immediately started to work. His crew was very pleasant and took great care to address of all issues that arose during the process. As is inevitable, there were minor issues that needed to be addressed after performing the initial prep work; Manuel was very thorough in explaining what his crew would do. They power washed my patio and brick which made it look almost new. The crew performed their work efficiently and in a very professional manner. After all work was completed on the exterior, Manuel performed a detailed final inspection at which time all leftover materials were removed and there was no evidence that they had been there except for a beautiful paint job. I then asked Manuel to perform some repair work on one of the bathrooms in my house which was again done in a very efficient and professional manner. An old light fixture was replaced with a new one and some other minor issues were corrected before they painted the bathroom. I am very pleased with the work Manuel and his crews performed. I would recommend him to anyone who wants professional work done by a company who cares about the end product.
