Very well.
Description of Work: We have small backyard, just under 90 feet of fence. Josh helped us to improve privacy, to create our background oasis from the stress of life. Josh also helped me satisfy my need for two hanging hammock chairs. I did not have a picture just my imagination. Josh listen and came back with an easy design. My whole family spends more time in our small backyard than ever, now we just fight over who get to sit in Daddy's hammock chair. -

We had an old 8 year old builder grade fence that was falling apart. BC quoted it in sections so that we could work with each respective neighbor to split the cost. The fence on once side (59 feet, plus two gate sections) has been completed so far. That was about $700 total. The quality is outstanding. We have steel posts, 2x4 treated rails instead of builder grade 2x3 untreated rails that eventually rot and sag, kickboard at the bottom for better wear if there are dogs, and staining. Everything was done on time and as promised. Of course we are using them again on other projects. They are a FIND!!!

Response from Woodchuck Millwork
I gave the member a quote to replace about 50 foot of shared fence including one gate. She coordinated with her neighbor to split cost as it's a shared fence. We built her a nice quality cedar fence with steel post and added a mud board on bottom. The member is a great new customer and since we completed that job for her she had me do more work for her as she has several rent houses in collin. We have built another fence for her. and also repaired her cabinet under a sink from a water leak. Thanks member!

I had called someone else on Angie's List for an estimate to repair my fence and after speaking to them they believed I would need a new fence and passed my information on to BC remodeling. I got a call the next day and also looked him up on Angies List. He lives a fair distance away from Irving so he recommended I send pictures of the fence needing to be placed as well a measurements (length of fence) to avoid a trip charge just for an estimate. He replied with an estimate by email and requires half the amount to book the job. I mailed a check and few days later he contacted me with a start date that worked for me. They arrived early in the morning and had finished the job by mid afternoon (weather was perfect). There were some trees that had grown through the old fence and he trimmed some of those and we elected to move the fence in a small amount to avoid the tree stumps. The fence pickets were nailed individually instead of using premade fencing. This made a big difference (for the better) as the ground has some gentle rises and falls that the fence follows perfectly.
Description of Work: Remove old fence and posts and replace with new fence and new posts. Also hauled away old fence and cut off a few trees at the base. Length of fence is about 90 feet.

I reviewed my choices on Angie's List and located a company that performed fence repair to perform the needed services. Although booked up on the day I called (and experiencing rainy weather), Bill was able to come out the next day (even in the rain) and set new posts and replace broken and missing pickets in my fence. I was working that day, so I was not at home when he stopped by, but he called when he got there to let me know what he saw and estimated the price would be, before continuing with the work (which I greatly appreciated). He do the work we discussed, and then called to let me know he would recommend putting in an extra support post in one area before continuing with that. After he obtained the go-ahead to do so, he even upgraded my fence latch to a more functional one, with an extra that he had on his vehicle at the time! He also replaced more pickets than I initially asked him to (at no additional charge), simply because he saw that they were in poor condition! Due to the weather, he was not able to finish trimming the posts the day he placed them because the cement was not completely dry...so he came out a few days later (giving the cement time to set properly) and trimmed them to the proper length so that they looked uniform with the rest of my fence. Very nice work! Kim C.

Bill Connor first impressed me with his attention to detail when he first viewed the old fence and called me at work. He described in detail what needed to be done. Bill is a super nice guy, patient and a good listener. He and his crew made certain that the post holes were dug deep enough. Fence quality is superb. I would definitely recommend him. Please note that you will have to stain the fence yourself or hire someone to do it for you.
Description of Work: New fence in back yard, side yard as well as a new gate. Old fence was leaning due to post holes not being dug deep enough.

The price was very fair. Bill and his associate were very professional and courteous. They also did a great job of cleaning up before they left. They did an excellent job and I'd definitely use them again!
Description of Work: Bill and his associate repaired a section of my fence that had fallen down, and replaced a few posts elsewhere on the fence. Since he's a general handyman, while he was here I also had him repair a door frame and replace the fixture on my front door.

My privacy fence was in need of repair due to it having many broken posts and some slats were in bad shape. Bob came out and did an estimate first and was very thorough in explaining what needed to be done, also what the estimate would be providing they didn't run into any problems. I was pleased with the estimate knowing he would have to work with four different neighbors fences when doing the job. Bob scheduled me in to meet my busy schedule and was very prompt the day he came to do the work. They did an excellent job and were so careful as they had to work around my many flower beds. I ended up having 13 posts replaced and several slats, which to my surprise they stained them and they almost had them match perfectly with the other existing ones. Fence now is in great shape and I couldn't be more pleased with their work. They were also very good at cleaning up and finished explained everything that was done and what product he used. I would recommend them to anyone and feel confident that would be more than pleased with his work.
Description of Work: My privacy fence in my backyard was in desperate need of repair, posts had broken off, panels were leaning forward and I had slats that were broken. My request was to repair the three sides of the fence to once more be stable again.

The workers from BC Remodeling Company did a really good job. They first came in and looked at what we wanted. They came back with the drawings. They built it in their workshop. They then brought it in here in several pieces and assembled it. The price was more than what we expected but the work turned out to be really nice. As long as we are happy with the product I don’t fuss over the cost too much. We were having difficulties to find a company that did this kind of work. Then my handyman recommended them to us. My overall experience with BC Remodeling Company was excellent. I would use them again in the future.
Description of Work: I used BC Remodeling Company about a month ago. They made a custom built in bookcase for us.

Bill, Thank you for completing this project on time and under budget.
Description of Work: We scheduled a meeting the week before with Bill Conor who arrived on time to complete a field survey and cost estimate on specific repairs to our existing fence. We agreed on a defined Scope of Work that included replacement of two gates with new in ground posts along with replacing warped top boards; realignment and resupporting a fence section; and realignment and resupporting a fence partition in our courtyard. His crew arrived on Monday morning and completed all items within the scope of work, plus some additional work at no charge that same day. Price & Quality of workmanship along with completing work on time without delay is exactly what we expected. This was our initial project with BC Remodeling and we are completely satisfied for a job well done.

We have had other companies in the past try to fix the gate, but Bill was the first to show us what the problem was. Our gate was on a slope and Bill pointed out to us how that slope was affecting the swing of the gate and he rebuilt the gate with the slope in mind so that we would not keep on having the same problem. Other fence companies that have pulled weak posts for us didn't bother to show us that it was termites (I just assumed that it was the dry soil) that were causing the posts to be loose but Bill specifically pointed this out to us before he hauled the posts away because he knew that I should know what caused the problem. We live in McKinney and Bill lives in our area and it is nice to have a local guy that we can depend on. Bill came out on Friday to fix the gates and pull two posts, and then we wanted to have him pull two more and stain the posts so he would have to come back next week to finish. I paid bill for everything even though he had not finished the job because I could tell that he was a man of his word and would be back to finish and that I didn't need to be there to watch him complete the job. Bill said he would be back on Monday if he could combine our job with another local one, but something came up and he promptly texted us and said that it would be Tuesday. He came when he said that he would and I asked him for some business cards because I told him that I would recommend him to any neighbors that would inevitably ask us about our gate repairs. Well crafted work at an honest price is how I would sum up my experience with this company.
Description of Work: Bill came out and fixed 2 fence gates that have given us a lot of problems. He also replaced and stained several posts that had termite damage and were loose. He was very prompt, courteous and professional. We are very pleased with the work he did for us and would definitely recommend his company. Bill was able to fix what two other fence repair companies could not. He rebuilt one gate and repaired the other and stuck to the price he quoted us up front. Thanks Bill!

BCRemodeling did an excellent job and left a clean area where they worked. Everything was cleaned-up and hauled off. I found them very organized, professional, and personable. The price was very fair, they arrived on schedule and worked as efficiently as possible. I will definitely use BC for any future home woodwork I need.
Description of Work: I hired BC Remodeling to repair my fence and primary backyard gate. The price included purchasing the materials and labor. Several vertical boards needed replacement as well as new horizontal boards around the perimeter. We also had a gate that was out of alignment due to our shifting foundation. Upon further inspection of our fence, Bill Connor offered to completely reinforce all of the panels for just slightly more than the original estimate. I am glad he did because I knew many of the original nails missed the board-on-board contact. Bill also tightened the gate spring to help with the slamming problem.

Bill gave us an estimate of the cost, told us when he would show up, and how long the job would take. He arrived at our house on time and did what he said he would do, and finished and cleaned up ahead of schedule. The fence and cleared area look great. The gate is sturdy and easy to open. Bill said he would return and add two pickets to stabilize the gate. He also gave us an estimate to remove a large wooden deck. We discussed my kitchen cabinets and some things we could do to improve their appearance. I would not hesitate to have Bill do more custom work for my home.
Description of Work: They cleared an overgrown fence line, tore down and hauled off the existing fence, and built approximately 65 feet of fence with 11 metal posts sunk in concrete and a gate.

They did a very nice job. It is a beautiful fence. He was very personable, professional, and knowledgeable.
Description of Work: They built a fence for me. They also do cabinetry. The owner is a craftsman. The owner is Bill Connor.
Bill was referred to me by Justin Repairs regarding the fence repairs. He responded promptly, gave me an email estimate . While we were visiting, I discovered that he did carpentry work. The recent freeze had caused my bathroom plumbing to flood, ruining my bathroom cabinet drawer completely. Bill built a new one of real wood for $100 (unpainted) and it fits and works better than the old drawer. Then he replace my gate and fencing on either side of my house, about 41 feet, for $650 using high quality wood and concrete posts. Fence is very sturdy, job was done in one day. Bill piled the old fence material at the curb where the Township picked it up the next day. Very pleased with both items.
Description of Work: Bill made a new bathroom drawer for me and replaced my gate plus 41 feet of fencing on either side of my house.
