It started off bad and just got worse the crew was 5 hours late due to an electric outage at the warehouse. The 1 english speaking guy left after about 20 mins.We had to tell them to leave when they showed no signs of quitting even though it was 7 o'clock and they had agreed to abide by our schedule, of course we had to call the translator to explain that to them. They left the doors wide open, even though the A/C was running, and we have a house cat and dog, I had to keep my dog on a leash at my side. The 3rd and last day they scrambled to complete the job on time, they got even more sloppy. In their rush they cut the baseboards to short and bad angle cuts left huge gaps that they hastily filled with caulk. The transition strips were so badly installed the glue was oozing out in some spots and yet other spots the strips were popping up with major gaps. They did not level the floor so there are several deep valleys the worst is a 1/4 inch drop in less than 3 feet. The worst thing that the floor is crooked, by not planning it out and started in the wrong place causing the seams to be off by 2 inches in the span of the entryway to the kitchen. We tried for 3 months to get this company to address our concerns, they sent out a couple of people who said they couldn't fix the problems, one said he was an electrician that he doesn't do floors. We filed dispute with the financing company, their first response was to side with the flooring company because they claimed we were unrealistic with our expectations and claimed they had a good reputation. We hired an Independent Flooring Inspector to write a report which stated all the problems, including a couple we weren't aware of, and photos of the problems. We then filed another Dispute with the financing company and added that Inspection Report and several complaints that we found online from other customers and contractors who they didn't pay for work they had done. We also included the Flooring Company's own web site statement of "100% Customer Satisfaction Guaranty". The floor was installed 8-20-08, 1st dispute filed 10-14-08, 12-01-08 dispute was ruled in favor of the flooring company, 12-11-08 filed a revised dispute with financing company, 3-4-09 Dispute resolved in our favor our account was credited for amount already paid, 3-6-09 requested refund check of amount already paid. Still waiting for that check.

Response from TEXAS FLOORS
Texas Floors did indeed install wood floors for the member. In fact, we used on of our best crews. We made every effort to appease the member, but to no avail. We sent two people to inspect the job, and the installer back to fix any issues she may have had. She was so rude to the installer, that he was forced to leave. What the member is leaving out is that she tried to defraud our company twice for over $4200 because of a few minor repairs. The total cost for these repairs was $500-$700 which we offered to credit her back through GE Money. She declined and kept insisting that we give her the entire amount back, and keep her brand new wood floors. Texas Floors stopped helping her, when it became obvious she wasn't interested in resolution, but in getting free floors. Contractors Beware!!
