Suburban Door

He arrived on time and replaced the garage door opener. He was efficient and friendly. After he was done replacing the equipment, he cleaned up all the parts. We really enjoy our new garage door opener.

I've used Paul at least a couple times in the past. His work was excellent then as it was today. I trust him to fix our garage doors (our home and a rental property) the best and most efficient way possible. He goes above and beyond when it comes to service and quality.

We interviewed 3 companies before we chose Suburban door. The price was good and they had good reviews. They came out fairly timely to do the install and the installer was very good- nice guy, prompt, did a nice install. He gave us a bill and I paid it when he finished the work while still on site. We received a call from the company the next day saying that the service man had added the bill up wrong and that we owed over $100 more. I was a bit miffed because usually when that happens, the company says "oh well, our mistake" and moves on. Not so with this company. We paid the bill. While the service man was here, I asked him about the likelihood of another garage door remote activating our opening. He said it had a rolling code and that can't happen. ( I asked him this because we live on a fairly busy street.) So during the next several weeks I noticed that the garage doors would open spontaneously. It happened at least 3 times and I was very worried about it. We called the company to get someone out to look at it and they said they would call us back. They didn't call for 2-3 weeks and then we went out of town so we locked the doors so it couldn't happen while we were gone. When we returned, we called back the company and asked to speak to the owner. Instead, they set up an appointment for the service person to come out. The morning of the appointment, I got a call from Suburban door asking if they could move the appointment up to earlier. I said no one would be home so please keep our appointment as originally scheduled. The person said, "Since we are a SERVICE company and deal with emergencies, I don't know if we will be able to keep the appointment". I said that this was an emergency, we had the appointment since the week before and please keep the originally scheduled appointment. THE SUBURBAN DOOR EMPLOYEE HUNG UP ON ME!! They did come that day although an hour late. It was the same service man and he said he reset the codes so the problem shouldn't happen again.

Service was prompt and quick. Doors work great now, much quieter.

Service Lock and Garage Door Co was very honest, upfront and I didn't have any quarrel with them whatsoever. I think they were professional, came on time, gave me an appointment very quickly, and did a very good job.

I bought an Angie's List promotion, which included new rollers and a tune up. I called the day I bought it and Chris was available to come that day. I wasn't available. So we arranged the next day. Chris looked at the doors and was concerned that they had never been installed correctly and did not have adjustments that most door have. So this was more than a simple "adjustment", but Chris perservered, customized a solution.

I haven't had any problems since they did the work.

Paul responded to my voicemail in a timely manner. He added me as a his last repair call of the day which I really appreciated. This was one of my best experiences with a repair call. He was honest in letting me know what I needed but, more importantly, was honest in telling me what I didn't need - one of which items had already been mentioned by another call I had placed regarding the repair. By his telling me what I didn't need, it proved his level of honesty in dealing with me. I have already passed his information on to others who might need his help in the future - I have absolutely no hesitation in recommending his services.

Great service, on time, knowledgeable, very professional and outgoing service tech. I will use them for all my future garage door repair needs.

I have not used them since February of last year. I was not all that impressed with them. The repair guy kind of acted like I was stupid to call them when there was not anything specific wrong with my door, when I thought it was just more or less for maintenance. He was, of all of the people that I picked out of Angie's list, the least impressive. He did not do anything wrong, I just got the feeling that I was not probably getting very much for what I had paid for. It was more of the attitude of the repair guy, that there was not anything specific for him to work on. So he was trying to make it look like he was doing a lot to my garage door, when in fact he did not do very much. I would have preferred that they had first inspected the garage door and then let me know about the things that might have needed done maintenance wise and then not like have charged me that much.

Showed up on time and completed the work quickly. Solved the door sticking and garage door lift problem.

I purchased a deal from angieslist for a garage door tune-up with rollers. Our door was very loud when opening and closing but seemed to function well. I bought the deal on Thursday and Paul called me that afternoon. He scheduled time for the service the following day within a few hour window. Paul arrived on time and ready to work. He was friendly and professional. Paul never tried to sell me anything and was happy to adjust everything needed to get the garage door working as it should. He performed all of the services described above and even provided a suggestion regarding the door lock. If I ever need service on a garage door or need to provide a referral, this is the first place I will look.

Repair went great, the garage went from being loud and clunky, waking up my kids in the room above the garage every morning to running smooth and quiet. My kids don't wake up in the morning when I leave! Paul was great, pointing out all of the issues so I understood what was wrong. I would use him again and recommend him to everyone. He even remembered the $10 Angie's List discount that I had forgotten about.

Paul called me 15 minutes before arriving at the appointment time of 2:00. He was quick in accessing problem and in about 15 minutes replaced part. Most importantly, he explained how to reset my remote control. Paul also readjusted cable chain, door and oiled cables. I will definitely use this company again.
